Line Pressure Solenoid Valve
DESCRIPTION
The line pressure solenoid valve regulates the oil pump discharge
pressure to suit the driving condition in response to a signal sent
from the TCM.

SELF-DIAGNOSIS CODE CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
After the repair, perform the following procedure to confirm the
malfunction is eliminated.
1) Start engine.
2) Select ªSELF-DIAG RESULTSº mode with CONSULT-II.
3) With brake pedal depressed, shift the lever from ªPº ,
ªNº ,ªDº ,ªNº ,ªPº positions.

15. Remove input shaft and oil pump gasket.
16. Remove brake band and band strut.
a. Loosen lock nut and remove band servo anchor end pin fromtransmission case.
b. Remove brake band and band strut from transmission case.
c. Hold brake band in a circular shape with clip.
17. Remove front side clutch and gear components.
a. Remove clutch pack (reverse clutch, high clutch and front sun gear) from transmission case.

Low & Reverse Brake
DISASSEMBLY
1. Check operation of low and reverse brake.
a. Install seal ring onto oil pump cover and install reverse clutch.Apply compressed air to oil hole.
b. Check to see that retaining plate moves to snap ring.
c. If retaining plate does not contact snap ring,
I D-ring might be damaged.
I Oil seal might be damaged.
I Fluid might be leaking past piston check ball.
2. Remove snap ring, low and reverse brake drive plates, driven plates and dish plate.
