5. Remove hood opener on bottom left of instrument panel, and
then remove hood lock cable.
6. Remove grommet on lower dashboard, and pull out hood lock
cable from passenger room side.
CAUTION:
While pulling the cable, be careful not to damage (peel)
hood opener cable outer surface on edges of body through
hole.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
 Perform hood fitting adjustment. Refer to DLK-213, "
Fitting Adjustment".
Hood Lock Reinforcement
When installing hood lock reinforcement, loosen hood bolts, and
then tighten bolts in the order as shown.
Hood Lock Cable
1. Pull the hood lock cable through the panel hole to the engine compartment.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to bend the cable too much, keeping the
radius 100 mm (3.94 in) or more.
2. Check that the cable is not offset from the positioning grommet,
and push the grommet into the panel hole securely.
3. Apply the sealant around the grommet (at * mark).
4. Install cable securely to lock.
5. After installing, check hood lock adjustment and hood opener
operation.
Hood Lock Control InspectionINFOID:0000000001315834
CAUTION:
If the hood lock cable is bent or deformed, replace it.

DOOR LOCK FUNCTION
CAUTION:
The above function operates when the Intelligent Key is inside the vehicle. However, there may be
times when the Intelligent Key can not be detected, and this function will not operate when the Intelli-
gent Key is on the instrument panel, rear parcel shelf or in the glove box. Also, this system some times
does not operate if the Intelligent Key is in the door pocket for the open door.

The door lock and unlock switch indicates door lock status. The indicator will illuminate when a lock operation
is accomplished, and during this status, if any door is opened, the indicator will turn OFF.

1.CHECK FUNCTION
With CONSULT-III
Check “DOOR LOCK IND” in “Active Test” mode with CONSULT-III.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Door lock and unlock switch is OK.
NO >> Refer to DLK-293, "
Diagnosis Procedure".
Diagnosis ProcedureINFOID:0000000001396734
1.CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH INDICATOR INPUT SIGNAL
Lock and unlock the door lock system using the main power window and door lock/unlock switch.
Does the door lock system operate properly?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> Repair the power door lock system. Refer to DLK-286, "
DRIVER SIDE :
ComponentFunctionCheck".
2.CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH INDICATOR INPUT SIGNAL
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Open and keep the driver door open for the duration of this test.
3. Disconnect instrument panel warning lamp assembly.
4. Check voltage between instrument panel warning lamp assem-
bly connector M37 terminals 3 and 5.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace instrument panel warning lamp.
NO >> GO TO 3.

3.CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH INDICATOR INPUT SIGNAL
Check continuity between instrument panel warning lamp assembly
connector M37 terminal 5 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4.
NO >> Repair or replace harness ground.
4.CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect BCM.
2. Check continuity between BCM connector (A) M18 terminal 32
and instrument panel warning lamp assembly connector (B)
M37 terminal 3.
3. Check continuity between BCM connector (A) M18 terminal 32 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4.
NO >> Repair or replace harness.
5.CHECK BCM OUTPUT SIGNAL
1. Connect BCM connector.
