If after around 5 to 7 minutes the
pressure is not attained, this indi-
cates that the tyre is not repairable;
contact a PEUGEOT dealer for as-
sistance.
Switch on the compressor by mov-
ing the switch B to position "1" until
the tyre pressure reaches 2.0 bars.
Remove the kit, taking care to avoid
to avoid staining your vehicle with
t r a c e s o f fl u i d . K e e p t h e k i t t o h a n d .
D r i v e i m m e d i a t e l y f o r a p p r o x i m a t e -
l y t h r e e m i l e s ( fi v e k i l o m e t r e s ) , a t
reduced speed (between 15 and
3 5 m p h [ 2 0 a n d 6 0 k m / h ] ) , t o p l u g
the puncture.
Stop to check the repair and the tyre
pressure using the kit.
Turn the selector A to the AIR position.
Connect the black pipe D to the
valve of the wheel. Checking/Adjusting tyre
pressures
You can also use this kit for rou-
tine checking and adjustment of
the tyre pressures on your vehicle.
For this, carry out just the following
6 points.

cated on the cartridge.
The sealant cartridge is designed
for single use; even if only partly
used, it must be replaced.
To remove the cartridge, unscrew it
completely at its cap and pull off.
After use, do not discard the car-
tridge into the environment, take
it to an authorised waste disposal
site or a PEUGEOT dealer.
Do not forget to obtain a new
sealant cartridge, available from
PEUGEOT dealers.
Connect the compressor's electric
plug to the vehicle's 12 V socket.
Start the vehicle again and leave the
engine running.
Adjust the pressure using the com-
p r e s s o r ( t o i n fl a t e : s w i t c h B in position
"1" ; t o d e fl a t e : s w i t c h B in position
"0" and press button E ) , i n a c c o r d -
ance with the vehicle's tyre pressure
label (located on the left hand door
a p e r t u r e ) .
A loss of pressure indicates that the puncture has not been fully plugged;
contact a PEUGEOT dealer for as-
sistance.
Remove and stow the kit.
Visit a PEUGEOT dealer as
soon as possible to have the
tyre repaired or replaced by a
technician.
Drive at reduced speed (50 mph
[ 8 0 k m / h ] m a x ) l i m i t i n g t h e d i s t a n c e
t r a v e l l e d t o a p p r o x i m a t e l y 1 2 0 m i l e s
( 2 0 0 k m ) .

CHANGING A WHEEL *
Procedure for changing a faulty wheel
for the spare wheel using the tools pro-
vided with the vehicle.
The tools are installed in the boot under
t h e fl o o r .
T o g a i n a c c e s s t o t h e m :
open the boot,
r a i s e t h e fl o o r ,
s e c u r e i t b y h o o k i n g t h e c o r d ( s ) o n
t h e h o o k ( s ) o n t h e r e a r s h e l f s u p p o r t ,
r e m o v e t h e b o x c o n t a i n i n g t h e
tools.
Access to the tools

1. Wheelbrace.
Permits removal of the wheel trim a n d r e m o v a l o f t h e w h e e l fi x i n g
bolts.
2. Jack with integral handle.
Permits raising of the vehicle.
3. "Bolt cover" tool.
Permits removal of the bolt pro- t e c t o r s ( c o v e r s ) o n a l l o y w h e e l s .
4. Socket for the anti-theft bolts (locat-
e d i n t h e g l o v e b o x ) .
Permits adaptation of the wheel- brace to the special "anti-theft"
bolts.
5. Removable towing eye.
Refer to the paragraph "Towing
the vehicle".
Other accessories
Wheel with trim
When removing the wheel , de-
t a c h t h e t r i m fi r s t u s i n g t h e w h e e l -
brace 1 pulling at the valve passage
hole.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g t h e w h e e l , r e fi t t h e
trim starting by placing its notch
facing the valve and press around
its edge with the palm of your
hand.
A l l o f t h e s e t o o l s a r e s p e c i fi c t o y o u r
vehicle. Do not use them for other
purposes.

Access to the spare wheel
(Saloon)
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
To gain access to it, refer to the paragraph
"Access to the tools" on the previous
page. Fixing the steel spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l -
loy wheels, it is normal to notice,
w h e n t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g ,
that the washers do not come into
contact with the steel spare wheel.
The wheel is secured by the coni-
cal contact of each bolt. Taking out the wheel
Unscrew the yellow central bolt.
Raise the spare wheel towards you
from the rear.
Take the wheel out of the boot.
Putting the wheel back in place
Put the wheel back in its housing.
Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the
centre of the wheel.
Tighten fully until the central bolt
clicks to retain the wheel correctly.

Access to the spare wheel (SW)
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
To gain access to it, refer to the para-
graph "Access to the tools". Fixing the steel spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l -
loy wheels, it is normal to notice,
w h e n t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g ,
that the washers do not come into
contact with the steel spare wheel.
The wheel is secured by the coni-
cal contact of each bolt. Taking out the wheel

Raise the spare wheel towards you
from the rear.
Take the wheel out of the boot.
Putting the wheel back in place
Put the wheel back in its housing.
Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the
centre of the wheel.
Tighten fully until the central bolt

Parking the vehicle
Immobilise the vehicle where it
d o e s n o t b l o c k t r a f fi c : t h e g r o u n d
must be level, stable and non-slip-
pery.
Apply the handbrake, switch off the
i g n i t i o n a n d e n g a g e fi r s t g e a r * t o
lock the wheels.
If necessary, place a chock under
the wheel diagonally opposite the
wheel to be changed.
It is imperative that you ensure that
the occupants get out of the vehicle
and wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle
r a i s e d u s i n g a j a c k ; u s e a n a x l e
stand.
Removing the wheel
List of operations
Remove the chromed bolt cover from
each of the bolts using the tool 3 .
If your vehicle is equipped with this,
fi t t h e a n t i - t h e f t s o c k e t 4 on the
wheelbrace 1 to unlock the anti-theft
bolt.
Unlock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Place the jack 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
provided on the underframe, which-
ever is closest to the wheel to be
changed.
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 until its base plate
is in contact with the ground. Ensure
that the centreline of the jack base
plate is directly below the location A
or B used.
Raise the vehicle until there is suf-
fi c i e n t s p a c e b e t w e e n t h e w h e e l a n d
the ground to admit the spare (not
p u n c t u r e d ) w h e e l e a s i l y .
Remove the bolts and store them in
a clean place.
Remove the wheel.

After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the
b o o t c o r r e c t l y , fi r s t r e m o v e t h e c e n -
tral cover.
Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer
without delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as
soon as possible.
Fitting the wheel
List of operations
Put the wheel in place on the hub.
Screw in the bolts by hand to the
stop.
Pre-tighten the anti-theft bolt us-
ing the wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e
anti-theft socket 4 (if your vehicle is
e q u i p p e d w i t h t h i s ) .
Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Lower the vehicle fully.
Fold the jack 2 and detach it.
Lock the anti-theft bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e a n t i - t h e f t
socket 4 (if your vehicle is equipped
w i t h t h i s ) .
Lock the other bolts using the wheel-
brace 1 only.
R e fi t t h e c h r o m e d b o l t c o v e r s o n
each of the bolts.

CHANGING A BULB
Procedure for the replacement of a
faulty bulb with a new bulb without the
use of tools.
1. Direction indicators
(PY 21 W amber).
2. Side lights (W 5 W).
3. Dipped headlamps (H7-55 W).
4. Main beam headlamps (H1-55 W).
5. Directional headlamps (H7-55 W).
6. Fog lamps (H11-55 W). Changing the direction indicators
Handle the bulbs with a dry
cloth.
T h e h e a d l a m p s a r e fi t t e d w i t h p o l y -
carbonate glass with a protective
c o a t i n g :
do not clean them using a dry
or abrasive cloth, or using a
detergent or solvent product,
use a sponge and soapy water.
In certain climatic conditions (low
t e m p e r a t u r e , h u m i d i t y ) ,
conden-
sation on the internal surface of
the glass of the headlamps and
rear lights is normal ; it disap-
pears a few minutes after the lights
are switched on . Model with dipped headlamps with
elliptical module and directional
headlamps
Amber coloured bulbs, such as the
direction indicators, must be re-
placed with bulbs of identical speci-
fi c a t i o n a n d c o l o u r .
Turn the bulb holder one quarter of
a turn and remove it.
Pull the bulb then change it.

Changing the side lights
Disconnect the main headlamp con-
nector.
Remove the plastic protective cover
by pulling on the tab.
Turn the bulb holder one quarter of
a turn and remove it.
Pull the bulb and change it.

verse order.
Changing the dipped headlamps,
main beam headlamps or directional
headlamps
Disconnect the main headlamp con-
nector.
Remove the corresponding plastic
protective cover by pulling on the
tab.
Disconnect the connector of the cor-
responding light.
Move aside the spring to release the
bulb and remove the bulb.
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n r e -
verse order. Changing the integrated direction
indicator side repeaters
Insert a screwdriver towards the
centre of the repeater between the
repeater and the base of the mirror.
T i l t t h e s c r e w d r i v e r t o e x t r a c t t h e r e -
peater and remove the repeater.
Disconnect the repeater connector.
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n r e -
verse order.
To obtain a replacement repeater, con-
tact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Changing the fog lamps
For replacement of these bulbs, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer.

1. Brake lights (P 21 W).

T h e s e b u l b s ( w i t h t h e e x c e p t i o n o f t h e
d i o d e l i g h t s ) a r e c h a n g e d f r o m o u t s i d e
t h e b o o t :
r e m o v e t h e l i g h t fi x i n g b o l t ,
take out the light from the outside,
disconnect the light connector,
remove the light seal,
press the four tabs and remove the
bulb holder,
turn the bulb one quarter of a turn
and change it.

audio system, on the right-hand
s i d e , o p e n t h e fl a p fi r s t t o g a i n a c -
c e s s t o t h e fi x i n g b o l t .
