there is no specific warning lamp. Identify the fault by reading the message shown on
the screen, such as, for example:
- the h

- the engine oil level,
- the screenwash level,
- the remote control battery,
- saturation of the par ticle emission filter (Diesel).
For any other faults, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a

Coolant temperature gauge
With the hybrid system active:
- in zone A
, the temperature is correct,
- in zone B, the temperature is too high; the central STOP
warning lamp comes on,accompanied by an audible signal and amessage in the instrument panel screen. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait a few minutes before switching off theengine.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
After drivin
g for a few minutes, the temperatureand pressure in the cooling system increase.
To top up the level:
) wait for the engine to cool, )
unscrew the cap by two turns to allow the
pressure to drop,
) when the pressure has dropped, remove
the cap, ) top up the level to the "MA X" mark.
On switching on the ignition or when driving, it
indicates the engine oil temperature.
With the needle in zone C
, the temperature is correct.
With the needle in zone D , the temperature is
too high.
Slow down to lower the oil temperature.

Oil level incorrect
This is indicated by a message in the
instrument panel screen.
If the low oil level is confirmed b
y a check usingthe dipstick, the level must be topped up to
avoid damage to the engine.
Oil level indicator fault
This is indicated by a message in the instrument panel screen. Contact a PEUGEOT

Dipstick
Refer to the "Checks" section to locate the
dipstick and the oil filler cap on your engine.
There are 2 marks on the dipstick: The total milea

Checks
Checking levels
Before doing anything under the bonnet,
switch off the ignition (Readylamp off) to avoid any risk of injury resulting from automatic operation of the engine.
Oil level
The check is carried out either when
the ignition is switched on using the oil level indicator on the instrument panel, or using the dipstick.
This manual check will only be correct if the
vehicle is on level ground and the engine has been off for more than 30 minutes. It is normal to top up the oil level between
two ser vices (or oil changes). PEUGEOTrecommends that you check the level, and top
up if necessary, every 3 000 miles (5 000 kms).
After topping up the oil, the check whenswitching on the ignition with the oil levelindicator in the instrument panel is not validduring the 30 minutes after topping up.
Engine oil change
Refer to the ser vicing booklet for details of the
interval for this operation.
In order to maintain the reliability of the engineand emission control system, the use of additives in the engine oil is prohibited.
Oil specifi cation
The oil must be the correct grade for your engine and conform to the manufacturer'srecommendations.
Th
e brake fluid level should be close
to the "MA X" mark. If it is not, check
the brake pad wear.
Brake fluid level
Changing the fl uid
Refer to the ser vicing booklet for details of the
interval for this operation.
Fluid specifi cation
The brake fluid must conform to themanufacturer's recommendations and meet the
DOT4 standard.
Power steering fluid level
The power steering fluid level shouldbe close to the "MA X" mark. With
the engine cold, unscrew the cap to check the level. If a level drops si
gnificantly, have the corresponding system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Check all of these levels regularly and top them up if necessary, unless other wise indicated.
Take care when working under the
bonnet, as certain areas of the engine may be extremely hot (risk of burns).

Checks
Avoid prolonged contact of used oil or fluids with the skin. Most of these fluids are harmful to
health or indeed very corrosive.
Do not discard used oil or fluids intosewers or onto the ground. Take used oil to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop (France) or to an authorised waste disposal site.

Diesel additive level
(Diesel engine with particle
emission filter)
A low additive level is indicated by illumination
of the ser vice warning lamp, accompanied by an audible warning and a message in
the instrument panel screen.

Checks
6-speed electronic gear
control gearbox
The gearbox does not require any maintenance (no oil change).
Refer to the servicing booklet for
details of the checking interval for
this component.
Brake wear depends on the style
of driving, par ticularly in the case
of vehicles used in town, over shor t
distances. It may be necessary to have the condition of the brakes checked, evenbetween vehicle services.
Unless there is a leak in the circuit, a drop in
th
e brake fluid level indicates that the brakepads are worn.
Brake pads
Particle emission filter (Diesel)
The star t of saturation of the par ticle
filter is indicated by the temporary
illumination of this warning lamp
accompanied by a message in the
multi-function screen.
As soon as the traffic conditions permit, regenerate the filter by driving at a speed of at least 40 mph (60 km/h) until the warning lamp goes off.If the warning lamp stays on, thisindicates a low additive level.
On a new vehicle, the first par ticle filter regeneration operations may beaccompanied by a "burning" smell, which is perfectly normal.Following prolonged operation of thevehicle at very low speed or at idle, you may, in exceptional circumstances, notice the emission of water vapour atthe exhaust on acceleration. This does not affect the behaviour of the vehicle or the environment.
The 100 % electric mode is not
available during regeneration of thepar ticle emissions filter.
