Dual-zone digital air conditioning
Automatic operation
1. Automatic comfort programme
)
Press this "AU TO "button. Theindicator lamp comes on.
We recommend that you use this mode. It automatically adjusts all settings to provide
optimum operation for the comfor t level chosen: passenger compar tment temperature, air flow, air distribution and air recirculation.
This system is designed to operate effectivelyin all seasons, with the windows closed.
When the engine is cold, to prevent too great a distribution of cold air, the air flow will reach its optimum levelgradually. In cold weather, it favours the distribution of warm air to the windscreen, side windows and footwells only.

2 - 3. Driver-passenger side adjustment

The driver and front passenger can each adjust
the temperature to their requirements.
The value indicated on the displa
y corresponds
to a level of comfor t and not to a temperature in
degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
) Turn control 2or 3to the left(blue) or to the right (red) respectively to decrease or increase this value.

A setting around the value 21 provides
optimum comfor t. However, depending on your
requirements, a setting between 18 and 24 isnormal.
It is recommended that the difference between
left and right should not be greater 3. The air conditionin
g can only operate when the hybrid system is active (Ready lamp on).
Its effectiveness will be reduced when in electric mode (see the ECO OFF section).
The ZEV mode gives preference to electric driving rather than maintaining a comfortable temperature.

On entering the vehicle, if the interior temperature is much colder or warmer than the comfort value, there is noneed to change the value displayed in order to obtain the comfort required.The system corrects the differencein temperature automatically and asquickly as possible.

4. Automatic visibility programme

For maximum cooling or heating of thepassenger compartment, it is possibleto exceed the minimum value 14 or themaximum value 28.)
Turn control 2or 3
to the left until "LO"is displayed or to the right until "HI"
is displayed. See "Front demistin
g-defrosting".

Press this button to equalise thecomfort value on the passenger's
side with that on the driver's side (mono-zone). The indicator lamp in the button comes on.

f you wish, you can change one of settings
provided by the system. The other functions will still be controlled automatically.) Pressing the "AUTO"
button returns the system to completely automatic operation.


Manual operation
5. Mono-zone / Dual-zone
The air conditioning is designed to operate effectively in all seasons,
with the windows closed.
6. Air conditioning On / Off
It allows you:
- in summer, to lower the temperature,
- in winter, above 3°C, to improve demistin
gperformance.


7. Maximum air conditioning
If you want to temporarily refresh theair in the passenger compartment,
press this button and "LO"isdisplayed.
With Stop & Start, when demisting has been switched on, the Diesel engine does not stop.Switchin
g on) Press the "A/C"button, the associated green indicator lamp comes on.The air conditioning does not operate when
the air flow control is set to off.
Switching off) Press the "A /C "
button again, the
associated green indicator lamp goes off.Switching off the air conditioning may result in
some discomfort (humidity, misting). To return to the previous settings, press the
button a
gain.

Switching the system off

Press this button for recirculation of the interior air. The indicator
lamp on the button comes on.

Air recirculation enables the passenger compartment to be isolated from exterior
odours and smoke. It is activated automaticallywhen operating the screenwash.

Avoid driving for long periods with the system off (risk of condensation and deterioration of the air quality).
Pressing the "full fan"buttonreactivates the system with the valuesin use at the time it was switched off.
The air flow symbol, the fan, fills progressivelyaccording to the value requested.
Thi
s action switches off all of the functions of the
air conditioning system.
Temperature related comfor t is no longer guaranteed but a slight flow of air, due to the forward movement of the vehicle, can still be felt.
)As soon as possible, press this buttonagain to permit the intake of outside air and prevent the formation of condensation. The
indicator lamp in the button goes off.

10. Air intake / Air recirculation

when operating the screenwash. It is inactive
when the ambient temperature is below 5°C to
guard against the risk of misting in the vehicle. ) As soon as possible, press this button
again to permit the intake of outside air and prevent the formation of condensation. The
indicator lamp in the button goes off.

The demist /defrost switches off automatically toprevent an excessive consumption of current. )It is possible to stop the demist /defrost
operation before it is switched off automatically by pressing the button again.
The indicator lamp associated with the

goes off.

The system automatically manages the air conditioning, air flow and air intake, and provides optimum distribution towards the
windscreen and side windows.
Adjust the temperature control to quickly
demist /defrost the windows.
To switch it off, press the "visibility" button again, the warning lamp in the button goes off and the system rever ts to the previous settings.
)Select this programme to demist or defrost the windscreen andside windows as quickly as possible.

Practical information








Load reduction mode
System which manages the use of cer tain
functions according to the level of chargeremaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the loadreduction function temporarily deactivates certain functions, such as the air conditioning,
the heated rear screen...
The deactivated functions are reactivated automatically as soon as conditions permit.
S
ystem which manages the duration of use of certain functions to conser ve a sufficient level of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you can still use functions such as the audio and telematics
system, windscreen wipers, dipped beam headlamps, cour tesy lamps, etc. for a maximumcombined duration of about forty minutes.






Energy economy mode


Switching to economy mode

A message then appears in the instrument
panel screen indicating that the vehicle has
switched to economy mode and the activefunctions are put on standby.
If a telephone call is being made at this time, it
will be maintained for around 10 minutes with
the Bluetooth hands-free system of your audio
system.


Exiting economy mode

These functions are reactivated automaticallynext time the vehicle is driven.)In order to restore the use of these functions immediately, star t the engine and let it run:
- for less than ten minutes, to use
the equipment for approximately
five minutes,
- for more than ten minutes, to use the
equipment for up to approximatel
y thirtyminutes.
Let the engine run for the duration specified toensure that the battery charge is sufficient.
Do not repeatedly and continuously restar t theengine in order to charge the battery.
A flat battery prevents the engine from star ting (refer to the "Battery" section).
In this energy economy mode and whenstarting up the hybrid system, it maytake a few seconds before the Readylamp comes on.

The battery does not require any maintenance.
However, check that the terminals are clean
and correctly tightened, particularly in summer and winter.
Refer to the servicing and
warranty booklet for details of the replacement intervals for thesecomponents.
Air filter and passenger compartment filter
Replace the oil filter each time the
engine oil is changed.
Refer to the servicing and
warranty booklet for details of
the replacement interval for thiscomponent.
Oil filter
The presence of this label, in particular with
the Stop & Star t system, indicates the use of a specific 12 V lead-acid battery with special
technology and specification. The involvement
of a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshopis essential when replacing or disconnecting
the battery.
Unless other wise indicated, check these components in accordance with the ser vicing and warranty booklet and according to your engine.

Other wise, have them checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.





Before doing anything under the bonnet,switch off the ignition (Ready
lamp off) to avoid any risk of injury resulting fromautomatic operation of the engine.
When carrying out work on the battery, re
fer
to the "12 V battery" section for details of the precautions to be taken before disconnecting
the battery and following its reconnection.


Depending on the environment (e.g. dusty
atmosphere) and the use of the vehicle (e.g. citydriving), replace them twice as often if necessar y.y A clogged passenger compartment filter may have
an adverse effect on the per formance of the air
conditioning system and generate undesirable odours.
