If the fault is present:
Loss of performance with Level 1 warning light coming on.

Check the connection and condition of the turbocharging solenoid valve connector, component code1475.
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check the connection and condition of the injection computer connector, component code 120 (see MR 392,
385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injection computer: Removal - Refitting).
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Measure the resistance of the turbocharging solenoid valve, component code1475 between its
connections3FB (3FB3 for Kangoo II) and 3MG:
If the resistance measured is not 19Ω
With the ignition on, check for the presence of + 12 V after ignition feed on connection3FB (3FB3 for
Kangoo II) of the turbocharging solenoid valve, component code1475.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
–3FB (except Kangoo II) between components 1475 and 120,
–3FB3 (Kangoo II only) between components 1475 and
1337,
–3MG between components1475 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact the Techline.
AFTER REPAIRDeal with any faults displayed by the diagnostic tool.
Clear the computer fault memory.

Conditions for applying the fault finding procedure to a stored fault:
The fault is declared present after the ignition has been switched on.
The level 1 and OBD warning lights are lit.
If the fault is present:
Loss of performance with smoke from the exhaust.

diagrams Technical Note.
Check the connection and condition of the flowmeter connector, component code 799 (see MR 392, 364, 370
and 417, Mechanical, 12A, Fuel mixture, Air flowmeter: Removal - Refitting).
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check the connection and condition of the injection computer connector, component code 120 (see MR 392,
385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injection computer: Removal - Refitting).
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
With the ignition on, check for + 12 V on connection 3FB (or 3FB3 for Kangoo II), + 5 V on connection 3KJ and
earth on connection 3DW of the air flowmeter, component code 799.
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
–3ABQ between components799 and 120,
–3DV between components 799 and 120,
–3DW between components 799 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair),
repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
With the flow sensor connected, the vehicle ignition on and the engine stopped:
Measure the voltage between connections 3DV and 3DW of the air flowmeter, component code 799.
If the voltage is not between 0.3 V and 0.7 V, replace the air flowmeter (see MR 392, 364, 370 and 417,
Mechanical, 12A, Fuel mixture, Air flowmeter: Removal - Refitting).
If the fault is still present, contact the Techline.

Clear the computer fault memory.

– an actuator control AC012 Damper valve.
Special notes:
The damper function is no longer ensured when the engine is switched off or the valve
is closed, then the engine stalls or starting is impossible.
There is no damper valve for Vdiag 4C.
If the fault is present:
The level 1 fault warning light is lit on the instrument panel.

Check the connection and condition of the damper valve connector, component code 1461 (see MR 392, 364,

If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check the connection and condition of the injection computer connector, component code 120 (see MR 392,
385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injection computer: Removal - Refitting).
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check for + 12 V after ignition on 3FB (or 3FB3 for Kangoo II) of the damper valve, component code 1461.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
–3FB (or 3FB3 for Kangoo II) between components 1461 and 120,
–3GM between components 1461 and 120,
–3VM between components 1461 and 120,
–3AAD (for Kangoo II) between components 1461 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair
), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, replace the damper valve (see MR 392, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 12A, Fuel
mixture, Damper valve: Removal - Refitting).
If the fault is still present, contact the Techline.

NOTESConditions for applying the fault finding procedure to a stored fault:
The fault is declared present after a series of actions on the clutch pedal during a
road test (speed greater than 54 mph (90 km/h)).
If the fault is present:
Engine bucking or high engine speed.
Use CLIO III, MODUS, MEGANE II ph2, SCENIC II ph2 and KANGOO II Wiring
diagrams Technical Note.
Check the connection and condition of the clutch switch connector, component code 675 (see MR 392, 385,
364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 37A, Mechanical component controls, Clutch pedal position sensor:
Removal - Refitting) and the injection computer connector, component code 120 (see MR 392, 385, 364, 370
and 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injection computer: Removal - Refitting).
If the connectors are faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair) repair the connector(s); otherwise, replace the wiring.
With the ignition on, check the + 5 V clutch switch signal on connection86D and earth on connectionM (or
NAM for Kangoo II).
If correct:
Check the conformity and adjustment of the clutch switch (position, connection).
– display status ET121 Clutch contact signal:
– when the clutch pedal is engaged, status ET121 should be INACTIVE,
– when the clutch pedal is disengaged, status ET121 should be ACTIVE.
If these checks are not correct, replace the clutch switch (see MR 392, 385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical,
37A, Mechanical component controls, Clutch pedal position sensor: Removal - Refitting).
If the supply to the switch is incorrect:
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
–86D between components 675 and 120,
–M (or NAM for Kangoo II) between components 675 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact the Techline.

The vehicle speed is transmitted on the CAN network by the ABS system or by an additional unit (if the vehicle is
not equipped with ABS).
Test the multiplex network to be able to work on the CAN network (fault on CAN H and CAN L between the
injection system and the ABS) (see88B, Multiplexing).
Check that there are no ABS computer faults (see 38C, Anti-lock braking system) or in the system which
supplies the vehicle speed (see 38G, Vehicle speed computer).

If the connectors are faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair) repair the connector(s); otherwise, replace the wiring.
With the ignition on, check the + 12 V after ignition supply of the camshaft sensor on connection 3FB (or 3FB3
for Kangoo II and earth on connection 3FJ.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
–3FB (or 3FB3 for Kangoo II) between components 746 and 983 (or 1337 for Kangoo II),
–3FJ between components 746 and 120,
–3CQ between components 746 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If these checks are correct, replace the camshaft sensor (see MR 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel injection,
