Push the lid. Pull the tab to open.
WARNING
■Items unsuitable for storing (overhead)
Do not store items heavier than 0.4 lb. (0.2 kg).
Doing so may cause the auxiliary box to open and the items insi de may fall
out, resulting in an accident.

■Cable pass through
The open tray is provided with a hole that allows cables to be passed through
the tray from the USB/AUX port, USB charging ports or power out let.
Open tray
Remove the cover.
WARNING
■Items unsuitable for the open tray
Observe the following precautions when putting items in the ope n tray. Fail-
ure to do so may cause items to be thrown out of the tray in the event of
sudden braking or steering. In these cases, the items may interfere with
pedal operation or cause driver distraction, resulting in an ac cident.
● Do not store items in the tray that can easily shift or roll ou t.
● Do not stack items in the tray higher than the tray’s edge.
● Do not put items in the tray that may protrude over the tray’s edge.

Raise the hooks to use.
Cargo hooks are provided for
securing loose items.

Do not hang any object heavier than 6.6 lb. (3 kg) on the groce ry bag hooks.

Pull the strap upwards to open
the center deck board.

the side deck board.

Installing the luggage cover
Fold down the third seats. ( P. 161)
To take out the luggage
cover unit, lift and remove
the center deck board and
side deck board. ( P. 4 7 4 )
Press the lock release but-
tons to extend the ends of
the luggage cover unit.
To install the luggage cover
unit, with the lock release
buttons facing upward, insert
one end into the recess, then
compress the other end and
insert it into the other recess.
Pull out the luggage cover
and hook it ont o the anchors.

Removing the luggage cover
Release the cover from the
left and right anchors and
allow it to react.
Compress the end of the lug-
gage cover and lift up the
luggage cover up.
■Stowing the luggage cover
Open the center deck board and the side deck board. (P. 4 7 4 )
To store the luggage cover
unit, compress both ends
until they lock.
Store the unit with the lock
release buttons facing up and
the cover portion facing the rear
of the vehicle.

WARNING
■When installing/stowin g the luggage cover
Make sure that the luggage cover is securely installed/stowed. Failure to do
so may result in serious injury in the event of sudden braking or a collision.
■ Caution for the luggage cover
● Do not place anything on the luggage cover to avoid death or serious
injury.
● Do not allow children to climb on the luggage cover. Climbing o n the lug-
gage cover could result in damage to the luggage cover, possibl y causing
death or serious injury to the child.
■ When extending the luggage cover unit
Do not point the luggage cover unit at your face or body, as do ing so may
cause injuries if the cover ends extend suddenly.
NOTICE
■ When using the luggage cover
● Do not put heavy items on the luggage cover.
●Install the cover unit in the correct direc-
tion so that the lock release button
faces upward.

To set the visor in the forward
position, flip it down.
To set the visor in the side posi-
tion, flip down, unhook, and
swing it to the side.
To use the side extender, place
the visor in the side position,
then slide it backward.
Open the cover.
The vanity light turns on.
■ To prevent battery discharge
If the vanity lights remain on for 20 minutes while the engine is off, the lights
will turn off automatically.

Push the lid back up half way.

Fully close the lid, then open it again. (

■The clock is displayed when
Vehicles without a smart key system
The engine switch is in the “ACC” or “ON” position.
Vehicles with a smart key system
The engine switch is in ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode.
■ When the battery is disconnected
The time display will automatically be set to 1:00.
The temperature display shows
temperatures within the range of
-40 F (-40 C) to 122 F (50C).
■The outside temperature is displayed when
Vehicles without a smart key system
The engine switch is in the “ON” position.
Vehicles with a smart key system
The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode.
■ Display
In the following situations, the correct outside temperature ma y not be dis-
played, or the display may take longer than normal to change:
● When the vehicle is stopped, or moving at low speeds (less than 15 mph
[25 km/h]).
● When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entra nce/exit
of a garage, tunnel, etc.)
■ When the outside tempe rature display flashes
If the outside temperature is 37 F (3°C) or less, the ice warning indicator
flashes 10 times, and then illuminates.
■ When “--” or “E” is displayed
The system may be malfunctioning. Take your vehicle to your Toyota dealer.
