wiperstrokefrequency.Rotatethering
anticlockwisetodecreasewiperstroke
frequency.Wipersoperateat"normal"speed.
Wipersoperateat"high"speed.
Rainsensor(option)
Therainsensorautomaticallyactivatesthe
windscreenwipersbasedonhowmuch
wateritdetectsonthewindscreen.The
sensitivityoftherainsensorcanbeadjusted
usingthering(1).
–Turntheringclockwisetoincreasesensi-
tivityoranticlockwisetodecreasesensi-
tivity.(Thereisanextraswipewhenthe
ringisturnedclockwise).
On/OffWhenactivatingtherainsensor,theignition
keymustbeinpositionIorIIandthe
windscreenwiperstalkswitchmustbein
position0.
Toactivatetherainsensor:
–pressthebutton(2).AnLEDinthe
buttoncomesontoindicatethattherain
sensorisactive.Toturntherainsensoroff,either:
–pressthebutton(2)or
–pressthestalkswitchdownwardto
anotherwiperprogramme.Ifthestalk
switchisraised,therainsensorwill
remainactive,thewipersmakeanextra
sweepandthenreturntorainsensor
modewhenthestalkswitchisreleased
backtoposition0.
Therainsensorisautomaticallydeactivated
whenthekeyisremovedfromtheignition
switchorfiveminutesaftertheignitionis
switchedoff.IMPORTANT!Useplentyofwasherfluidwhenthe
wipersarecleaningthewindscreen.The
windscreenmustbewetwhenthe
windscreenwipersareoperating.
IMPORTANT!Inanautomaticcarwash:
Turnofftherainsensorbypressingthe
button(2)whiletheignitionkeyisin
positionIorII.Otherwise,the
windscreenwipersmaystartandbe
damaged.

NOTE!Atemporaryincreaseinspeed(less

aswhileovertaking,doesnotaffectthecruise
controlsetting.Whenyoureleasetheaccel-
erator,thecarwillreturntotheprogrammed
speed.TemporarydisengagementPress0todisengagethecruisecontrol
temporarily.CRUISEwillbeshownonthe
combinedinstrumentpanel.Thespeedset
earlierisstoredinthememory.
Thecruisecontrolisalsotemporarilydisen-
gagedwhen:
thebrakepedalorclutchpedalis
depressed
speedfallsbelow30km/hwhen
travellinguphill
thegearselectorismovedtopositionN
wheelspinorwheellock-upoccurs
atemporaryincreaseinspeedlasts

slightlywhilepressingthecontrolback.

Closethebonnetbyplacingyourhandon

PowerwindowsThepowerwindowsareoperatedusingthe

powerwindowstowork.Onceyoufinish
drivingandremovetheignitionkey,the
windowscanstillbeopenedorclosedas
longasneitherofthefrontdoorshasbeen
opened.
Openawindowbydepressingthefrontof
thecontrol,andcloseitbypullingupthefront
ofthecontrol.
Powerwindowsinthefront
doorsWindowscanbeopenedorclosedfromthe
frontseattwoways.
–Pressthecontrol(A)slightlydownorpull
itslightlyup.Thepowerwindowsgoup
ordownaslongastheswitchisactuated.
–Pressthecontrol(A)allthewaydownor
pullitallthewayup,andthenrelease.
Thewindowsthenopenorcloseautomat-
ically.Movementisstoppedifthewindow
isblockedinanyway.
NOTE!Thefunctionautoupforthe
passengersideisonlyavailableincertain
markets.
Controls(B)tooperatewindowsintherear
doors.Blockingpowerwindowsinthe
reardoorsThepowerwindowsintherearseatcanbe
blockedwiththeswitchonthedriver’sdoor
controlpanel.Alwaysremembertoswitchoff
currenttothepowerwindows(i.e.remove
theignitionkey)ifyouleavechildreninthecar
unattended.
