symbolgoesoutafteraboutsevensecondsif
theAirbagsystem1isworkingcorrectly.Aswellasthewarning
symbol,amessageappearsin
theinformationdisplay.Ifthe
warningsymbolmalfunctions,
thewarningtrianglecomeson
andthemessageSRS

appearsinthedisplay.

Activating/deactivatingtheairbag(SRS)Indicatorshowingthatthepassengerairbag
(SRS)isdeactivated.PACOS(option)Theairbag(SRS)forthefrontpassenger
seatcanbedeactivatedusingaswitch.This
isnecessaryifachildseatistobeplaced
thereforexample.
Indicator
Atextmessageintherearviewmirrorindi-
catesthatthepassengerairbag(SRS)is
deactivated.
SwitchforPACOS(PassengerAirbagCut
OffSwitch).Activating/deactivating
Theswitchislocatedonthepassengerend
ofthedashboardandisaccessiblewhenthe
passengerdoorisopen.Checkthatthe
switchisintherequiredposition.Volvorec-
ommendsthatthattheignitionkeyisusedto
changeposition.(Otheritemswithashape
similartoakeycanbeused).
WARNING!
Ifthecarisequippedwithafrontpassen-
gerairbag(SRS),butdoesnothave
PACOS,theairbagwillalwaysbeacti-
vated.

Activatedairbag(passengerseat):
Neverplaceachildinachildseatorona
