REMOVAL POINTS
Crankcase
1. Separate:
Right crankcase
Left crankcase
Separation steps:
Remove the crankcase bolts 1, hose
guide 2 and clutch cable holder 3.
NOTE:
Loosen each bolt 1/4 of a turn at a time and
after all the bolts are loosened, remove
them.
Remove the right crankcase 4.
NOTE:
Place the crankcase with its left half down-
ward and split the right half apart while lift-
ing it horizontally by lightly tapping the
projection a on it using a soft hammer.
When splitting it, leave the crankshaft and
transmission with the left half.
CAUTION:
Use soft hammer to tap on the case half.
Tap only on reinforced portions of case.
Do not tap on gasket mating surface.
Work slowly and carefully. Make sure the
case halves separate evenly. If the cases
do not separate, check for a remaining
case bolt or fitting. Do not force.
Remove the dowel pins and O-ring.

Die Kurbelgehäuse-Schrauben
1, Schlauchführung

Kupplungszug-Halterung

demontieren.
HINWEIS:
Die Schrauben um 1/4 Umdre-
hung lockern und erst herausdre-
hen, nachdem sie alle gelockert
wurden.
Das Kurbelgehäuseteil rechts
4 demontieren.
HINWEIS:
Das Kurbelgehäuse mit der lin-
ken Hälfte nach unten platzie-
ren und die rechte Hälfte davon
abspalten, indem es horizontal
gehalten und der Vorsprung
a
leicht mit einem weichen Ham-
mer geklopft wird.
Beim Spalten müssen die Kur-
belwelle und das Getriebe in
der linken Hälfte verbleiben.
ACHTUNG:
Nur mit einem weichen Hammer
auf das Gehäuse einwirken. Nur
auf verstärkte Bereiche des
Gehäuses klopfen. Nicht auf
Dichtungs-Passflächen schla-
gen. Ruhig und sorgfältig arbei-
ten. Die Gehäuseteile müssen
gleichmäßig getrennt werden.
Falls die Gehäuseteile sich
nicht trennen lassen, das
Gehäuse auf verbliebene
Schraubverbindungen u. Ä.
überprüfen. Nicht forcieren.
Die Passhülsen und O-Ringe
erneuern.
POINTS DE DEPOSE

1. Séparer:
Carter moteur droit
Carter moteur gauche
Etapes de la séparation:
Déposer les boulons du carter
moteur 1, le guide de durit 2 et le
support de câble d’embrayage 3.
N.B.:
Desserrer chaque boulon d’1/4 de
tour à la fois puis, lorsque tous les
boulons sont desserrés, les déposer.
Déposez le carter moteur droit 4.
N.B.:
Placer le carter, la moitié gauche
orientée vers le bas, et séparer la
moitié droite tout en la soulevant
horizontalement en piquant légère-
ment l’ergot a dessus à l’aide
d’un maillet en caoutchouc.
Lors de la séparation, laisser le car-
ter et la boîte de vitesses avec la
moitié gauche.
ATTENTION:
Taper sur le demi-carter à l’aide
d’un maillet en plastique. Ne taper
que sur portions renforcées du car-
ter. Ne pas taper sur la surface de
contact du joint. Travailler lente-
ment et avec précaution. Veiller à
séparer les deux demi-carters
symétriquement. Si les deux demi-
carters ne se séparent pas, vérifier
qu’une vis ou une fixation n’ont
pas été oubliées. Ne jamais forcer.
Déposer les goujons et le joint tori-
que.
PUNTI DI RIMOZIONE
Carter

Operazioni per la separazione:
Rimuovere i bulloni del carter 1,
la guida flessibile 2 e il supporto
cavo frizione 3.
NOTA:
Allentare ogni bullone di 1/4 di giro
alla volta e dopo averli allentati tutti,
rimuoverli.
Togliere il carter destro 4.
NOTA:
Posizionare il carter con la parte
sinistra rivolta verso il basso e
separarlo dalla parte destra, solle-
vandola orizzontalmente, tramite
leggeri martellamenti sulla spor-
genza a utilizzando un mazzuolo
a testa tenera.
Quando si effettua la divisione,
lasciare la parte sinistra su carter e
trasmissione.
ATTENZIONE:
Picchiettare sulla metà del carter
con un martello morbido. Picchiet-
tare solo sulle parti rinforzate del
carter. Non picchiettare sulla
superficie di contatto della guarni-
zione. Lavorare lentamente e con
attenzione. Accertarsi che le metà
del carter si separino uniforme-
mente. Se le parti del carter non si
separano, controllare che non vi
siano viti o dispositivi di fissaggio
ancora da togliere. Non forzare.
Rimuovere i grani di centraggio e
la guarnizione circolare.

crankshaft.

Remove the bearing from the crankcase by
pressing its inner race.
Do not use the removed bearing.

and camshaft sprocket as a set.

Crankcase bearing
1. Install:

To left and right crankcase.
NOTE:
Install the bearing by pressing its outer race
parallel.
To prevent the screw [bearing stopper
(crankshaft)] from becoming loose, crush the
screw head periphery a into the concave b
using a punch etc. In so doing, take care not
to damage the screwdriver receiving hole in
the screw head.
Crankshaft

Use the crankshaft installing tool 2, 3,
4 and 5.

NOTE:
Hold the connecting rod at top dead center
with one hand while turning the nut of the
installing tool with the other. Operate the
installing tool until the crankshaft bottoms
against the bearing.
Before installing the crankshaft, clean the
contacting surface of crankcase.
CAUTION:
Do not use a hammer to drive in the crank-
shaft.
