CHECK BACK DOOR SWITCH
1. CHECK BACK DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
With CONSULT-II
Check door switches (“BACK DOOR SW”) in “DATA MONITOR”
mode with CONSULT-II.
Without CONSULT-II
Check voltage between BCM connector and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Door switch circuit is OK.
NG >> GO TO 2.

2. CHECK BACK DOOR SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect back door switch connector.
3. Check voltage between back door switch connector D109 termi-
nal 7 and ground. (Check harness for open.)
4. Check continuity between back door switch connector D109 ter-
minal 7 and ground. (Check harness for short.)
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Repair or replace harness.
3. CHECK BACK DOOR SWITCH
Check continuity between back door switch terminals 7 and 8.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 4.
NG >> Replace back door closure motor (door switch).7 (L) – Ground : Approx. 9V

4. CHECK BACK DOOR SWITCH GROUND HARNESS
Check continuity between back door switch connector D109 terminal
8 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Check harness connection.
NG >> Repair or replace harness.

Check ignition key switch “KEY ON SW” in “DATA MONITOR” mode
with CONSULT-II.
When key is inserted in ignition key cylinder

Check voltage between BCM connector M3 terminal 37 (B/W) and ground.

OK >> Key switch circuit is OK.

2. CHECK KEY SWITCH (WITH INTELLIGENT KEY)
1. Disconnect key switch and ignition knob switch connector.
2. Check continuity between key switch and ignition knob switch
terminals 3 and 4.
OK or NG
OK >> Check the following.
15A fuse (No. 22, located in fuse and fusible link block)
Harness for open or short between key switch and fuse
Harness for open or short between BCM and key switch
NG >> Replace key switch.
3. CHECK KEY SWITCH (WITHOUT INTELLIGENT KEY)
1. Disconnect key switch connector.
2. Check continuity between key switch terminals 1 and 2.
OK or NG
OK >> Check the following.
15A fuse [No. 22, located in fuse block (J/B)]
Harness for open or short between key switch and fuse
Harness for open or short between BCM and key switch
NG >> Replace key switch.

1. CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
With CONSULT-II
Check door lock and unlock switch (“CDL LOCK SW” and “CDL
UNLOCK SW”) in DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-II.
When door lock and unlock switch is turned to LOCK:
When door lock and unlock switch is turned to UNLOCK:
Without CONSULT-II
1. Remove key from ignition key cylinder.
2. Check the signal between BCM connector M3 terminal 22 and ground with oscilloscope when door lock
and unlock switch is turned “LOCK” or “UNLOCK”.
3. Make sure signals which are shown in the figure below can be
detected during 10 second just after door lock and unlock switch
is turned “LOCK” or “UNLOCK”.
OK or NG
OK >> Door lock and unlock switch circuit is OK.
NG >> GO TO 2.CDL LOCK SW : ON

2. CHECK POWER WINDOW SERIAL LINK CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect BCM, power window main switch and front power window switch connectors.
3. Check continuity between BCM connector M3 terminal 22 and
power window main switch (door lock and unlock switch) con-
nector D6 terminal 14.
4. Check continuity between power window main switch (door lock
and unlock switch) connector D6 terminal 14 and ground.
5. Check continuity between BCM connector M3 terminal 22 and
front power window switch (door lock and unlock switch) con-
nector D36 terminal 16.
6. Check continuity between front power window switch (door lock
and unlock switch) connector D36 terminal 16 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Repair or replace harness.22 (OR) – 14 (Y) : Continuity should exist.
14 (Y) – Ground : Continuity should not exist.

3. CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH GROUND HARNESS
Check continuity between power window main switch (door lock
and unlock switch) connector D7 terminal 17 and ground.
Check continuity between power window sub-switch (front pas-
senger side) (door lock and unlock switch) connector D36 termi-
nal 11 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Replace power window main switch or power window sub-switch.
NG >> Repair or replace harness.
Check Door Lock Actuator (Driver side)AIS004M4
1. CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR HARNESS
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect BCM and front door lock actuator (driver side) connector.
3. Check continuity between BCM connector M4 terminals 44, 50
and front door lock actuator (driver side) connector D10 termi-
nals 2, 3.
4. Check continuity between BCM connector M4 terminals 44, 50
and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> Repair or replace harness.17 (B) – Ground : Continuity should exist.

1. Connect BCM and door lock actuator (driver side) connector.
2. Check voltage between BCM connector M4 terminals 44, 50 and
ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Check harness connection.
NG >> Replace BCM.
Check Door Lock Actuator (Passenger Side and Rear LH/RH)AIS004M5
1. CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR HARNESS
1. Disconnect BCM and each door lock actuator connectors.
2. Check continuity between BCM connector M4 terminals 50, 51
and front door lock actuator passenger side, rear door lock actu-
ator LH/RH connectors D40, D52, D72 terminals 2, 3.
3. Check continuity between BCM connector M4 terminals 50, 51
and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> Repair or replace harness.

Check voltage between BCM connector M4 terminals 50, 51 and
ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Replace front door lock assembly (passenger side) or rear door lock actuator LH/RH.
NG >> Replace BCM.
Check Fuel Lid Opener Actuator AIS004M6
1. CHECK FUEL LID OPENER ACTUATOR HARNESS
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect BCM and fuel lid lock actuator connector.
3. Check continuity between BCM connector M4 terminals 44, 50
and fuel lid lock actuator connector B70 terminals 1, 2.
4. Check continuity between BCM connector M4 terminals 44, 50
and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Replace fuel lid actuator.
NG >> Repair or replace harness.

Check Front Door Key Cylinder Switch (Lock) AIS004M7
1. CHECK FRONT DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL (LOCK SIGNAL)
With CONSULT-II
Check front door key cylinder switch LH (“KEY CYL LK SW”) in
“DATA MONITOR” mode with CONSULT-II.
When key cylinder switch is turned to “LOCK”.
Without CONSULT-II
Check voltage between power window main switch (door lock and
unlock switch) connector D6 terminal 4 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Front door key cylinder switch circuit driver side (lock) is OK.
NG >> GO TO 2.
2. CHECK FRONT DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH
1. Disconnect front door key cylinder switch driver side connector.
2. Check continuity between front door key cylinder switch driver
side terminals 1 and 5.
OK or NG
OK >> Check the following.
Front door key cylinder switch driver side ground circuit.
Harness for open or short between power window main switch (door lock and unlock switch)
and front door key cylinder switch driver side.
