Lighting control stalk
Main lighting
The various front and rear lamps of the vehicle
are designed to adapt the lighting gradually to
the climatic conditions and thus give the driver
better visibility:

the road is clear.
Additional lighting
Other lamps are fitted to meet particular driving
conditions:

Selection ring for main
lighting mode
Turn it to align the desired symbol with the
mark.
Dipped or main beam headlamps.
Sidelamps.
Automatic illumination of headlamps.
Lighting off.
Headlamp dipping stalk
Pull the stalk to switch the lighting between
dipped/main beam headlamps.
In the lighting off and sidelamps modes, the
driver can switch on the main beam headlamps
temporarily ("headlamp flash") by maintaining a
pull on the stalk.
Displays
Illumination of the corresponding indicator
lamp in the instrument panel confirms that the
lighting selected is on.

Front and rear foglamps
Foglamps selection ring.
They operate with the sidelamps and dipped or
main beam headlamps.Front and rear foglamps:

urn the ring for wards once to switch on the
front foglamps.

urn the ring for wards twice to switch on the
rear foglamp.

urn the ring backwards once to switch off
the rear foglamp.

urn the ring backwards twice to switch off
the front foglamps. It is prohibited to switch on the front or
rear foglamps in fine weather or in rain,
night or day. In these situations, the power
of their beams may dazzle other drivers.
Do not forget to switch off the front
foglamps and the rear foglamp when they
are no longer necessary.
When lighting is left on
When the driver's door is opened, with the
ignition off, an audible signal warns the
driver that the vehicle's lighting is left on.
In this case, switching off the lighting
stops the audible signal.
Direction indicators
(flashing)The ring automatically returns to its initial
position.
The rear foglamp switches off automatically
when you switch off the sidelamps and dipped
or main beam headlamps.

eft: lower the lighting control stalk passing
the point of resistance.

ight: raise the lighting control stalk passing
the point of resistance.
Daytime running lamps
Specific daytime lighting to make the vehicle
more visible.
The daytime running lamps light up
automatically when the engine starts if no other
lamps are on.
They cannot be deactivated.
Although these lamps are located in the
same lamp unit as the front foglamps, they
operate with a specific bulb.
Their use complies with the Highway
Code.

Automatic illumination/
switching off of the headlamps
Automatic illumination
When the lighting control stalk ring is in
the AUTO position, the sidelamps and
dipped beam headlamps are switched on
automatically, without any action on the part of
the driver, when a low level of ambient light is
detected.
As soon as the level of light becomes sufficient
again, the lights are switched off automatically.
The sensor is located at the bottom of the
windscreen.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor, as the
associated functions would no longer be
controlled.
In fog or snow, the sunshine sensor may
detect sufficient light. The headlamps may
not come on automatically.
Automatic switching off
When the lighting control stalk is in the "AUTO"
position, if the ignition key is in the "LOCK" or
"ACC" position or is removed, the headlamps
will automatically switch off when the driver's
door is opened .
Headlamp beam height
adjustment
To avoid causing a nuisance to other road
users, the height of the halogen headlamp
beams must be adjusted according to the load
in the vehicle.
0.Driver only or driver + 1 front
passenger.
1 or 2. 4 passengers (including driver).
3. 4 passengers (including driver) +
maximum authorised load.
4. Driver + maximum authorised load.
The initial setting is position " 0".
Wiper control stalk
The wipers are controlled directly by the driver
using control A and ring B .
In wintry conditions, remove snow, ice
or frost present on the windscreen,
around the wiper arms and blades and
the windscreen seal before operating the
wipers.
Do not operate the wipers on a dry
windscreen. Under extremely hot or cold
conditions, ensure that the wiper blades
are not stuck to the windscreen before
operating the wipers.

Windscreen wipers

intermittent mode.
Front screenwash
Pull the wiper control stalk towards you. The
screenwash and then the wipers operate for a
preset time.
Rear wiper
C. Rear wiper selection ring.

Intermittent wiping.
The wiper wipes twice then switches to
intermittent mode with an inter val of a few
seconds. Wash-wipe.
Hold the ring in this position to operate the
screenwash and to carry out several wipes with
the wipers.
Courtesy lamp
Position 1 "ON"
The courtesy lamp is permanently on.
Position 2 "●"
The courtesy lamp comes on when a door or
the boot is opened; when the door or boot is
closed again, the lighting dims gradually for a
few seconds before going out.
However, the courtesy lamp goes out
immediately when the doors and boot are
closed and you lock the vehicle from the inside
or with the remote control.

Before leaving the vehicle, check that the
courtesy lamp is not still on.
If it remains permanently on, it will
discharge the ancillaries battery even if
the main battery is charged or charging.
It will then no longer be possible to start
the vehicle.
Position 3 "OFF"
The courtesy lamp is permanently off.

Labels are attached in different places on
your vehicle. They include safety warnings
as well as identification information for
your vehicle. Do not remove them: they
are an integral part of your vehicle.
For any work on your vehicle, use a
qualified workshop that has the technical
information, skills and equipment required,
all of which a PEUGEOT dealer is able to
provide.We draw your attention to the following

he fitting of electrical equipment
or accessories not listed by
PEUGEOT may cause excessive
current consumption and faults and
failures with the electrical system of
your vehicle. Contact a PEUGEOT
dealer for information on the range of
recommended accessories.

s a safety measure, access to
the diagnostic socket, used for the
vehicle's electronic systems, is
reser ved strictly for PEUGEOT dealers
or qualified workshops, equipped
with the special tools required (risk
of malfunctions of the vehicle's
electronic systems that could cause
breakdowns or serious accidents).
The manufacturer cannot be held
responsible if this advice is not
followed.

ny modification or adaptation not
intended or authorised by PEUGEOT
or carried out without meeting the
technical requirements defined by
the manufacturer will result in the
suspension of the legal and contractual
warranties. Installation of accessory radio
communication transmitters
Before installing a radio communication
transmitter, you must contact a PEUGEOT
dealer for the specification of transmitters
which can be fitted (frequency, maximum
power, antenna position, specific
installation requirements), in line with the
Vehicle Electromagnetic Compatibility
Directive (2004/104/EC).
Depending on country regulations, some
safety equipment may be compulsory:
high visibility safety vests, warning
triangles, breathalysers, spare bulbs,
spare fuses, fire extinguisher, first aid kit,
mud flaps at the rear of the vehicle, etc.

Hazard warning lamps
F When you press this red button, all four direction indicators flash.
They can operate with the ignition off.
Brake lamps, automatic
operation
The brake lamps may light up automatically
when you release the accelerator pedal.
Their illumination is not systematic and
depends on the rate of deceleration.
Horn for pedestrians
(Depending on equipment.)
System to alert pedestrians to the presence of
the vehicle.
When the vehicle is started, illumination of
the button indicator lamp for a few seconds
indicates system activation.
Operation
Horn
F Press the central part of the steering wheel. The horn sounds when the vehicle speed is
between 0 and 22
mph (35 km/h),
Deactivation
In certain driving conditions you can deactivate
the system.
Press this button.
The button indicator lamp comes on and the
audible signal stops.
Another press reactivates the system.
The button indicator lamp goes off. Before deactivating the system, make
sure that you are not driving in an area
frequented by pedestrians.
The system is reactivated automatically at
every new start.
Malfunction
The button indicator lamp flashes if the system
malfunctions. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer
or a qualified workshop to have the system
checked.

Emergency or assistance

button for more than 2

seconds.
The flashing green indicator lamp and the voice
message confirm that the call has been made
to the "Peugeot Connect SOS" call centre*. Pressing this button again
immediately cancels the request.
The green indicator lamp goes
of f.
The green indicator lamp remains on (without
flashing) when communication is established.
It goes off at the end of the call. expressly declined, the call is sent directly
to the emergency services (112) without the
vehicle location.
"Peugeot Connect SOS" immediately locates
your vehicle, contacts you in your own
language** and – if necessary – requests that
relevant emergency services be dispatched**.
In countries where the ser vice is not available,
or when the locating ser vice has been If an impact is detected by the airbag
control unit, and independently of the
deployment of any airbags, an emergency
call is made automatically.
If you benefit from the Peugeot Connect
Packs offer with the SOS and assistance
pack included, there are additional
ser vices available to you in your personal
space, via the website for your country.
Operation of the system
When the ignition is switched on,
the green indicator lamp comes
on for 3
seconds indicating that
the system is operating correctly.
If the orange indicator lamp
flashes then goes off: the system
has a fault.
If the orange indicator lamp is permanently on:
the back-up battery should be replaced.
In both cases, the emergency and assistance
calls ser vice may not work.
Contact a qualified repairer as soon as
possible.
The fault with the system does not prevent
the vehicle being driven.
Peugeot Connect
Assistance
Press this button for more than
2 seconds to request assistance
if the vehicle breaks down.
A voice message confirms that the call has
been made**. Pressing this button again
immediately cancels the request.

Geo-location
If you purchased your vehicle outside the
PEUGEOT dealer network, we invite you
to have a dealer check the configuration of
these ser vices and, if desired, modify it to
suit your wishes.
In a multi-lingual country, configuration is
possible in the official national language
of your choice. For technical reasons and in particular
to improve the quality of PEUGEOT
CONNECT ser vices to customers, the
manufacturer reser ves the right to carry
out updates to the vehicle's on-board
telematic system.
The cancellation is confirmed by a voice
message.
You can deactivate geo-location by
simultaneously pressing the "Peugeot Connect
SOS" and "Peugeot Connect Assistance"
buttons, followed by pressing "Peugeot
Connect Assistance" to confirm.
To reactivate geolocation, simultaneously press
the "Peugeot Connect SOS" and "Peugeot
Connect Assistance" buttons again, followed
by a press on "Peugeot Connect Assistance"
to confirm.
Braking assistance

you to obtain optimum braking in complete
safety in emergency situations:

Anti-lock braking system
and electronic brake force
distribution
Linked systems which improve the stability and
manoeuvrability of your vehicle when braking,
in particular on poor or slippery sur faces.
Activation
The anti-lock braking system comes into
operation automatically when there is a risk of
wheel lock.
Normal operation of the ABS may make itself
felt by slight vibrations of the brake pedal.If you need to brake in an emergency,
press very firmly and maintain this
pressure.
Malfunction
Stationary vehicle If this warning lamp comes on,
it indicates an anti-lock braking
system malfunction that could cause
control of the vehicle to be lost
during braking.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
