cable when using this function.
●Enable Apple CarPlay in the Apple CarPlay device’s restriction settings
before using this function.
1 Connect an Apple CarPlay
device to the USB port. ( P. 1 9 )
2 Check the confirmation mes-
sage, and then select “Yes”.
 The Apple CarPlay screen will be
displayed.
 If “Don’t show again.” is selected,
the confirmation message will
not be displayed again.
Select “Apple Ca rPlay” on the
home screen or the apps screen
( P.8, 9) to display the Apple
CarPlay screen.
Displays the application buttons.
Select to start the application.
Select to change the home
screen of Apple CarPlay.

This system compatible with iOS
13.2 or later are supported.
Whether a registered device con-

view Apple Maps, play music,
and place calls by connecting

sure that your Android device is set to accept connection with a new vehicle.
●Depending on the model, the talkback volume of the voice recognition func-
tion of Android Auto may differ from
the volume setting of other functions. Set the volume to a level that is easy
to hear.
1 Connect an Android Auto device

2 Check the confirmation mes-
sage, and then select “Yes”.

“VOLUME” knob: Press and hold
until a message is displayed, and
then select “OK” or wait a few
seconds for the audio/visual sys-
tem to turn off. Press and hold to
turn the system on again. The
system will turn on with the last
audio source used. Turn this
knob to adjust the volume. Press
to mute the audio/visual system.
 button: Press to display
screen buttons for the radio.
●The audio/visual system will remain off if you change the position of
engine switch Off to ACC/ON while
the audio/visual system is off. If you had set the volume to mute, the
audio/visual system will remain mute
and the track will start playing from where it was last stopped.

■Displaying the sound customi-
sation screen
1 Press the button.
2 Select “Settings”.

■Equaliser settings
How good an audio programme
sounds is largely determined by the
mix of the treble, mid and bass lev-
els. In fact, different kinds of music
and vocal programmes usually
sound better with different mixes of
treble, mid and bass.
1 Display the “Sound Customisa-
tion” screen. ( P. 6 5 )
2 Select “Equaliser”.
3 Set the desired item.
Select the sliders to adjust
low-pitched tones.
Select the sliders to adjust
mid-pitched tones.
Select the sliders to adjust
high-pitched tones.
Select to reset all setup items.
■Balance/Fader settings
A good balance of the left and right
stereo channels and of the front
and rear sound levels is also impor-
tant.
Keep in mind that when listening to
a stereo recording or broadcast,
changing the right/left balance will
increase the volume of 1 group of
sounds while decreasing the vol-
ume of another.

●The radio automatically changes to
stereo reception when a stereo broad-
cast is received.
Stations can be registered as pre-
sets.
1 Tune to the desired station.
2 Select and hold one of the
desired preset station buttons.
 To change the preset station to a
different one, follow the same
procedure.
A station list can be displayed.
1 Select “Station List”.
 “Update”: Select to update the
station list.
FM only
2 Select the desired list.
 “All”: Select to display all sta-
tions.
 “Genres”: Select to display cate-
gories.
3 Select the desired station.
The station of a selected PTY (Pro-
gramme Type) can be seeked.
1 Select “PTY Select”.
2 Select the desired PTY.

receive station and programme

which broadcast this information.
Depending on the availability of
RDS infrastructure, this function

■TA (Traffic Announcement)
function
A pop-up screen is displayed on the
screen and a traffic announcement
is played when, a traffic announce-
ment is received.
●This function can be turned on/off.

function
A station providing good reception
is automatically se lected if current
reception worsens.

■Emergency announcement
