side temperature.
&) - Folding exterior mirrors*. To fold the mirrors
out, turn the knob to one of the other positions.
In the Infotainment system, you can select if the
mirrors fold in automatically when you lock the
vehicle > page 29.
Front passenger's exterior mirror tilt
function*
Requirement: the knob must be in the position
for the front passenger’s exterior mirror.
To help you see the curb when backing into a
parking space, the surface of the mirror will tilt
slightly when reverse gear is selected.
You can adjust the tilted mirror surface by turn-
ing the knob in the desired direction. When you
move out of reverse and into another gear, the
new mirror position is stored and assigned to the
key you are using.
The mirror goes back into its original position
once you drive forward faster than 9 mph
(15 km/h) or turn the ignition off.
Z\ WARNING
Curved mirror surfaces (for example convex)
enlarge the field of vision. However, they
make objects in the mirror appear smaller and
farther away. When using these mirrors to es-
timate your distance to vehicles behind you
when changing lanes, you could estimate in-
correctly, which increases the risk of an acci-
dent.
@) Note
— Applies to: vehicles with power folding exte-
rior mirrors: If the mirror housing was
moved by outside forces (such as an impact
when maneuvering), you must use the pow-
er folding function to fold the mirror all the
way out. The mirrors will make a loud noise
when they latch into place. The mirror hous-
ing must not be moved back into place by
48
hand because this could impair the function
of the mirror mechanism.
— Applies to: vehicles without power folding
exterior mirrors: If the mirror housing was
moved by outside forces (such as an impact
when maneuvering), you must move it back
in place by hand.
— If you wash the vehicle in an automatic car
wash, you must fold the exterior mirrors in
to reduce the risk of damage to the mirrors.
Never fold power folding exterior mirrors*
by hand. Only fold them in and out using
the power controls.
G) Tips
If the power adjustment fails, both mirrors
can be adjusted by hand by pressing on the
edge of the mirror surface.
Dimming the mirrors
Your vehicle is equipped with a manual or auto-
matic* dimming rearview mirror.
Manual dimming rearview mirror

risk of injury, children should never be left
unattended in the vehicle for this reason.
— Exercise caution when adjusting the seat
height. Unsupervised or careless seat adjust-
ment could cause parts of the body to get
pinched, which increases the risk of injury.
— The front seat backrests must not be re-
clined too far back when driving, because
this impairs the effectiveness of the safety
belts and airbag system, which increases the
risk of injury.

Climate control system
Your vehicle has a deluxe automatic climate con-
trol system with two zones where the tempera-
ture, air distribution, and amount of air can be
adjusted separately on the left and right front
sides.
The climate control system circulates, warms or
cools, and removes humidity from the air in the
vehicle interior. It is the most effective when the
windows and panoramic glass roof* or power
top* are closed. If there is a build-up of heat in-
side the vehicle, ventilation can help to speed up
the cooling process.
Pollutant filter
The pollutant filter removes pollutants such as
dust and pollen from the air.

— Repairs to the Audi climate control system
require special technical knowledge and
special
tools. See an authorized Audi dealer
or authorized Audi Service Facility.
@) For the sake of the environment
— Energy can be saved by switching off the A/C
mode.
— In vehicles with the efficiency program”, you
can find other consumption information and
more economy tips > page 23.
iG) Tips
—To prevent interference with the heating
and cooling output and to prevent the win-
dows from fogging over, the air intake in
front of the windshield must be free of ice,
snow, and leaves.
— Condensation from the cooling system can
drip and form a puddle of water under the
vehicle. This is normal and does not mean
there is a leak.
— The energy management system may tem-
porarily switch off certain functions, such as
the seat heating* or rear window defogger.
These systems are available again as soon as
the energy supply has been restored.
— The climate control settings are automati-
cally stored and assigned to the vehicle key
that is in use. These settings are different

Auxiliary climate control
Applies to: vehicles with auxiliary climate control
The auxiliary climate control system warms or
cools the vehicle interior. The vehicle will turn on
the auxiliary climate control system if needed,
depending on the last temperature that was set
with the climate control system controls. This
function can be used when the drive system is
switched off.
You can turn the auxiliary climate control system
on and off immediately in the Infotainment sys-
tem or set a timer.
Requirement: the high-voltage battery must have
a sufficient charge level and there must be
enough fuel in the tank.
@) Tips
— The temperature that the climate control
system adjusts to depends on the last tem-
perature you set in the climate control unit.
— Using the auxiliary climate control while
charging can also reduce the charge level of
the high-voltage battery.
— The auxiliary climate control system will not
turn on automatically or will turn off earlier
if the high-voltage battery charge or fuel
supply are too low, even if the vehicle is be-
ing charged at the time.
— Starting or stopping the vehicle will not
switch off the auxiliary climate control auto-
matically.
