USB PLAYER
The USB port is located in the "AUX"
box on the centre console.
It permits the connection of a portable
device, such as a digital audio player of
the iPod ®
generation 5 and later type or
USB memory stick type.
I t r e a d s t h e a u d i o fi l e f o r m a t s ( m p 3 ,
ogg, wma, wav...) which are transmitted
to your audio equipment and played via
the vehicle's speakers.
Y o u c a n m a n a g e t h e s e fi l e s u s i n g t h e
steering mounted controls or the audio
equipment control panel and display
them on the multifunction screen.
When it is in use, the portable
device charges automatically.
For more information on the use of this
equipment, refer to the Audio system part
of the "Audio and Telematics" section.
12 V ACCESSORY SOCKET
To connect a 12 V accessory (max
power: 120 W), lift the cover and
connect a suitable adaptor.
AUXILIARY SOCKET
The auxiliary socket is located in the
" AUX " box on the centre console.
It permits the connection of a portable
device, such as a digital audio player of
the iPod ®
type, to listen to your music
fi l e s u s i n g t h e v e h i c l e ' s s p e a k e r s .

STORAGE DRAWER
The storage drawer is located under the
front passenger's seat.
Opening
Raise the front of the drawer and pull it.
Removal
Bring the drawer to the end of its
travel.
Press the ends of the slides.
Raise the drawer and pull it fully.
Refitting
Engage the drawer in its slides.
At the end of its travel, press on the
top of the drawer to secure it.
Do not place heavy objects in
the drawer.
MATS
Removable carpet protection.
Fitting
W h e n fi t t i n g t h e m a t f o r t h e fi r s t t i m e ,
o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e u s e o n l y t h e fi x i n g s
provided in the wallet attached.
The other mats are simply placed on
the carpet.
Removal
To remove the mat on the driver's side:
move the seat as far back as pos-
sible,
u n c l i p t h e fi x i n g s ,
remove the mat. Refitting
T o r e fi t t h e m a t o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e :
position the mat correctly,
r e fi t t h e fi x i n g s b y p r e s s i n g ,
check that the mat is secured cor-
rectly.
To avoid any risk of jamming of
the pedals:
- only use mats which are s u i t e d t o t h e fi x i n g s a l r e a d y
present in the vehicle; these
fi x i n g s m u s t b e u s e d ,
- n e v e r fi t o n e m a t o n t o p o f another.
The use of mats not approved by
CITROËN may interfere with ac-
cess to the pedals and hinder the
operation of the cruise control/
speed limiter.

SUN VISOR
Component which protects against sun-
light from the front or the side.
Version without Zenith windscreen
ILLUMINATED GLOVE BOX
This can be used to hold a water bottle.
Its lid has a location for storing the vehi-
cle's handbook pack.
To open the glove box, raise the
handle.
It is lit when the lid is opened.
It houses the front passenger's airbag
deactivation switch A .
Depending on your vehicle version, it
provides access to the ventilation noz-
zle B , distributing the same conditioned
air as the vents in the passenger com-
partment.
CENTRE ARMREST
Comfort and storage system for the
driver and front passenger.
Storage
For access to the closed storage
box, lift the lever to open the lid.
For access to the open storage box
below the armrest, lift the complete
armrest towards the rear.
These can be used for portable devices
(mobile phone, MP3 player...) which can
be connected to the USB port/auxiliary
socket or charged from the 12 V socket
in the centre console.
Version with Zenith windscreen
Refer to the "Familiarisation - § Zenith
windscreen" section.

REAR PARCEL SHELF
To remove the shelf:
unhook the two cords,
raise the shelf slightly, then unclip it
on each side.
HOOKS
The hooks can be used to hold shop-
ping bags.
STORAGE BOX
Raise the boot carpet by pulling the
strap upwards to gain access to the
storage box.
This has areas for storing a temporary
puncture repair kit, a box of spare bulbs,
a fi r s t a i d k i t , t w o w a r n i n g t r i a n g l e s , . . .

CITROËN recommends that
children should travel in the rear
seats of your vehicle:
- "rearwards-facing" up to
the age of 2,
- "forwards-facing" over the
age of 2. * The rules for carrying children are
s p e c i fi c t o e a c h c o u n t r y . R e f e r t o t h e
current legislation in your country.
GENERAL POINTS RELATING
TO CHILD SEATS
A l t h o u g h o n e o f C I T R O Ë N ' s m a i n c r i -
teria when designing your vehicle, the
safety of your children also depends on
you.
F o r m a x i m u m s a f e t y , p l e a s e o b s e r v e
t h e f o l l o w i n g r e c o m m e n d a t i o n s :
- in accordance with European reg- ulations, all children under the
age of 12 or less than one and
a half metres tall must travel in
approved child seats suited to
their weight , o n s e a t s fi t t e d w i t h a
s e a t b e l t o r I S O F I X m o u n t i n g s * ,
- statistically, the safest seats in
your vehicle for carrying children
are the rear seats,
- a child weighing less than 9 kg
must travel in the "rearwards-
facing" position both in the front
and in the rear. "Forwards-facing"
When a "forwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the
front passenger seat ,
a d j u s t t h e v e h i c l e ' s s e a t t o t h e i n t e r m e -
diate longitudinal position with the seat
b a c k u p r i g h t a n d l e a v e t h e p a s s e n g e r

"Rearwards-facing"

would risk being seriously injured or
k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
