check replaced wheel positioning under the floor
(the lifting system is supplied with a clutch to limit
the end of the stroke). Incorrect positioning may
jeopardise safety;
lift the wheel by fastening the bolt A fig. 139;
put jack and tools back in the specific tool bag;
reposition the tool bag behind the left seat (Cargo
versions) or in the boot (Combi versions);
secure the tool box to the hooks.
FIX & GO AUTOMATIC KIT
WARNING
The information required by the
applicable regulation is indicated on the
Fix&Go kit package label. Compliance with the
indications on the label is an essential condition
to ensure the safety and the effectiveness of
the Fix&Go kit . Carefully read the label before
use, avoid improper use. Fix&Go is subject to
expiration and must be replaced periodically.
The kit should be used by adults and cannot be
used by children.
Show the package and the label to the
personnel charged with handling the tyre
treated with the tyre repair kit .

Fix&Go provides a temporary repair,
therefore the tyre must be examined and
repaired by a specialist as soon as
possible.The sealing fluid is effective at
temperatures between -40°C and +50°C. It is
possible to repair tyres which have been damaged
on tread up to a diameter of 4mm; however,
tyres damaged on their side cannot be repaired.
Before using Fix&Go kit , ensure that the tyre isn't
excessively damaged and that the rim is in good
condition, otherwise do not use it and contact
a Fiat Dealership. Do not remove foreign bodies
from the tyre. Do not let the compressor turned
on for more than 20 consecutive minutes -
overheating hazard.
The Fix&Go automatic quick tyre repair kit is located
in a special container in the boot.
The quick tyre repair kit contains fig. 149:one tank A containing the sealing fluid, provided
with: filler tube B and adhesive label C with the
writing "Max. 80 km/h”, to be attached in a
position easily visible to the driver (on the
dashboard) after tyre repair;
compressor D complete with pressure gauge and
connectors;
an instruction leaflet fig. 150, to refer to for
prompt and correct use and that must be then
given to the personnel dealing with the tyre
treated with sealant;
a pair of protective gloves located in the side
compartment of the compressor;
some adaptors, for inflating different elements.

LIFTING THE VEHICLE
If the vehicle needs to be lifted, go to a Fiat
Dealership which is equipped with the arm hoist or
workshop lift.
TOWING THE VEHICLE
The tow ring provided with the vehicle is located in
the tool box behind the left seat backrest (Cargo
versions) or in the boot (Combi versions).
COUPLING THE TOW RING
Proceed as follows:
release the cap A fig. 185fig. 186;
take the tow hook B fig. 185fig. 186 from the tool
bag;
fully tighten the ring on the threaded front or rear
pin.

REGULAR CHECKS
Every 1,000 km or before long journeys, check and, if
necessary, top up the following:
engine coolant level;
brake fluid level;
windscreen washer fluid level;
tyre inflation pressure and condition;
operation of lighting system (headlamps, direction
indicators, hazard warning lights, etc.);
operation of screen wash/wipe system and
positioning/wear of windscreen/rear window
wiper blades.
Check and top up, if required, the engine oil level
every 3,000 km.
HEAVY USAGE OF THE VEHICLE
If the vehicle is used mainly under one of the
following conditions:
towing a trailer or caravan;
dusty roads;
short, repeated journeys (less than 7-8 km) at
sub-zero outside temperatures;
engine often idling or driving long distances at low
speeds or long periods of inactivity;
the following checks must be carried out more often
than indicated in the Scheduled Servicing Plan:
check front disc brake pad condition and wear;
check cleanliness of bonnet and boot locks,
cleanliness and lubrication of linkage;
visually inspect the conditions of: engine, gearbox,
transmission, pipes and hoses (exhaust/fuel
supply/brakes), rubber parts (boots/sleeves/
bushes, etc.);
check battery charge and battery fluid level
(electrolyte);
visually inspect condition of the auxiliary drive
belts;
check and, if necessary, change engine oil and
replace oil filter;
check and, if necessary, replace pollen filter;
check and, if necessary, replace air filter.

USEFUL ADVICE FOR EXTENDING THE
LIFE OF YOUR BATTERY
To avoid draining your battery and make it last
longer, follow these instructions closely:
when you park the vehicle, ensure the doors, boot
and bonnet are closed properly so that the ceiling
lights do not stay on;
turn off the ceiling lights, although the car does
have an automatic system for switching off internal
lights;
do not keep accessories (e.g. sound system,
hazard lights, etc.) switched on for a long time
when the engine is not running;
before performing any operation on the electrical
system, disconnect the battery negative cable;
make sure that battery terminals are always be
perfectly tight.
IMPORTANT If the battery remains with the charge
below 50% for a long time it becomes damaged
through sulphation and its starting capacity is
reduced.
The battery is also more prone to the risk of freezing
(at temperatures as high as -10°C).
Refer to the paragraph "Vehicle inactivity" in "Starting
and driving" if the vehicle is left parked for a long
time.
If, after buying the vehicle, you want to install
electric accessories which require permanent electric
supply (alarm, etc.) contact the Fiat Dealershipwhose qualified personnel, in addition to suggesting
the most suitable devices, will evaluate the overall
electric absorption, checking whether the vehicle
electric system is capable of withstanding the load
required, or whether it should be integrated with
a more powerful battery.
Since these devices continue to use electricity even
when the engine is off, they gradually run down
the battery.
