GLOW PLUG PREHEATING/GLOW
PLUG FAULT (Multijet versions -
amber)
Glow plugs preheating
This warning light comes on when the key is turned
to MAR. It will go out as soon as the glow plugs have
reached a preset temperature.
Start the engine as soon as the warning light goes
out.
IMPORTANT When it is particularly warm outside,
the warning light stays on for an extremely short
time.
Glow plug preheating fault
The warning light flashes if there is a fault in the
preheating system. Go to a Fiat Dealership as soon
as possible.
A specific message is displayed on certain versions.
WATER IN DIESEL FUEL FILTER
(Multijet versions - amber)
When the ignition key is turned to MAR, the warning
light turns on but should go off after a few seconds.
The warning light
turns on when there is water in
the diesel fuel filter.
A specific message is displayed on certain versions.
The presence of water in the fuel supply
circuit may cause severe damage to the
injection system and irregular engine
operation. If warning light
lights up (on some
versions with the message on the display), go to a
Fiat Dealership as soon as possible to have the
system bled.Water may have entered the tank if
this appears immediately after refuelling: if this
happens, switch the engine off immediately
and contact a Fiat Dealership.

ESC system failure
When the key is turned to MAR, the warning light
switches on, but it should switch off after a few
seconds; if the warning light does not switch off, or
stays on whilst driving, contact a Fiat Dealership. The
display will show a dedicated message.
HILL HOLDER FAILURE (amber)
(for versions/markets, where provided)
When the key is turned to MAR-ON, the warning
light switches on, but it should switch off after a few
seconds; the warning light on indicates a Hill Holder
system failure. In this case, contact a Fiat Dealership
as soon as possible. The display will show a specific
message.
VEHICLE PROTECTION SYSTEM

Fiat CODE Vehicle protection system fault
If, with the ignition key at MAR, the warning light
stays on permanently, this indicates a possible failure
(see “Fiat Code system” in the “Know your vehicle”
section).
A specific message is displayed on certain versions.IMPORTANT Warning lights
andwill come
on at the same time to indicate a Fiat CODE system
failure.
If with the engine running the warning light
flashes, the vehicle is not protected by the engine
immobiliser (see “Fiat Code system” in section
“Know your vehicle”).
Contact a Fiat Dealership to have all the keys stored.
Alarm fault
A fault with the alarm system is signalled by this
warning light
(or symbol in the display) coming
on. A specific message is displayed on certain
versions.
Contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as possible.
Break-in attempt
The warning light will blink rapidly or the symbol will
appear on the display to indicate a break-in attempt.
A specific message is displayed on certain versions.
Contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as possible.

Engine oil pressure sensor failure
The warning light turns on when an engine oil
pressure sensor failure is detected.
Go to a Fiat Dealership to have the fault fixed as
soon as possible.
Exterior lights fault
The warning light comes on (on some versions)
when a failure is detected in one of the following
lights:
side/tail lights
brake lights
rear fog lights
direction indicators
number plate lights.
The failure relating to these lights could be: one or
more blown bulbs, a blown protection fuse or a
break in the electrical connection.
A specific message is displayed on certain versions.
Fuel cut-off inertia switch tripped
The warning light switches on when the fuel cut-off
inertia switch is triggered.
The display will show a dedicated message.
Parking sensor failure
(for versions/markets, where provided)
See parking sensor warning light section.Warning light failure
The warning lightturns on and flashes to indicate a
failure of the warning light
. In this case, the
warning light may not indicate a fault in the
restraint systems.
Before continuing, contact a Fiat Dealership
immediately to have the system checked.
TPMS (amber)
TPMS failure
The warning light switches on and blinks for approx.
75 seconds, then it stays on constantly, when a
fault is detected in the TPMS.
In this case, contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as
possible.
Tyre pressure low
The warning light switches on to indicate that the
tyre pressure is lower than the recommended value
and/or that a pressure loss is occurring. In these
circumstances, optimal tyre duration and fuel
consumption may not be guaranteed.

BRAKE PAD WEAR (amber)
The warning light goes on if the front brake pads are
worn. In this case replace them as soon as possible.

PARKING SENSOR FAULT (yellow)

The warning light turns on when a parking sensor
fault is detected.
On certain versions warning light
comes on
instead.

START & STOP SYSTEM FAULT
(amber)

The warning light comes on when a Start&Stop
system fault is detected. On certain versions warning
light
comes on instead.

ASR SYSTEM DEACTIVATED
(amber)
The ASR system can be turned off by pressing the
button ASR OFF.
The warning light switches on to warn the driver
that the system is off.
If the ASR OFF button is pressed again, the warning
light will switch off to inform the driver that the
system is on again.
TRACTION PLUS SYSTEM
ACTIVATION (amber)
(for versions/markets, where provided)
The warning light switches on when the Traction Plus
system is activated by pressing the T+ button on
the dashboard.
The LED on the button turns on.
Traction Plus system failure
When the key is turned to MAR-ON, if the warning
light remains on or switches on together with the
LED on the button and the warning light
when
travelling, contact a Fiat Dealership.
The display will show a specific message.

CRUISE CONTROL (green)
The warning light turns on together with the
message on the display when turning the knurled ring
of the Cruise Control to ON.
SIDE/TAIL LIGHTS (green) -
FOLLOW ME HOME (green)
Side lights/tail lights
The warning light comes on when the side/taillights
are turned on.
Follow Me Home
The warning light will turn on when this device is
active (see “Follow me home” in the “Know your
vehicle” section).
The display will show a dedicated message.
FRONT FOG LIGHTS (green)
The warning light turns on when the front fog lights
are turned on.
REAR FOG LIGHTS (amber)
The warning light comes on when the rear fog lights
are turned on.
LEFT-HAND DIRECTION
INDICATOR (green - intermittent)
The light (arrow) comes on when the direction
indicator control lever is moved downwards
or, together with the right-hand arrow, when the
hazard warning light button is pressed.
RIGHT-HAND DIRECTION
INDICATOR (green - intermittent)
The light (arrow) comes on when the direction
indicator control lever is moved upwards or,
together with the left-hand arrow, when the hazard
warning light button is pressed.
MAIN BEAMS (blue)
The warning light switches on when the main beams
are activated.

GEAR SHIFT INDICATION
(for versions/markets, where provided)
On vehicles with a manual gearbox, the gear shift
indicator suggests gear changes to the driver (SHIFT
UP or SHIFT DOWN) via a special display on the
control panel. This suggestion to change gear is
designed to improve consumption and ensure the
best driving style.
NoteThe indication in the instrument panel remains
on until the driver makes a gear change or until the
driving conditions return to a situation where a
gear change is not required to improve consumption
