Register for Vehicle Health Report and setyour report preferences atwww.SYNCMyRide.com. After registering,you can request a Vehicle Health Report(inside your vehicle). Return to youraccount at www.SYNCMyRide.com to viewyour report. You can also choose for SYNCto remind you automatically to run reportsat specific mileage intervals.
The system allows you to check yourvehicle's overall health in the form of adiagnostic report card. The Vehicle HealthReport contains valuable information, forexample:
•Vehicle diagnostic information
•Scheduled maintenance
•Open recalls and Field Service Actions
•Items noted during vehicle inspectionsby an authorized dealer that still needservicing.
You can run a vehicle health report afteryour vehicle has been running a minimumof 60 seconds. Choose one of the followingoptions.
To use voice commands, press the voice button and when prompted say:

The system will run a vehicle health report of your vehicle'sdiagnostic systems and send the results to Ford where itcombines with scheduled maintenance information, openrecalls, other field service actions and vehicle inspection itemsthat still need servicing by an authorized dealer.

Press the OK button for SYNC to run a health report of yourvehicle's diagnostic systems and send the results to Fordwhere it combines with scheduled maintenance information,open recalls, other field service actions and vehicle inspectionitems that still need servicing by an authorized dealer.

Vehicle Health Report Privacy Notice
When you create a Vehicle Health Report,Ford Motor Company may collect yourcellular phone number (to process yourreport request) and diagnostic informationabout your vehicle. Certain versions orupdates to Vehicle Health Report may alsocollect more vehicle information. Ford mayuse your vehicle information it collects forany purpose. If you do not want to discloseyour cellular phone number or vehicleinformation, do not run the feature or setup your Vehicle Health Report profile atwww.SYNCMyRide.com. Connecting to SYNC Services Using Voice Commands
Press the voice button and when prompted say:

Receiving Turn-by-Turn Directions
When connected to SYNC Services, press the voice button and when promptedsay:

To receive directions to a location. Once you select yourdestination, the system uploads your current vehicle location,calculates a route based on current traffic conditions andsends it back to your vehicle. After the route download iscomplete, the phone call automatically ends. You then receiveaudible and visual driving instructions as you travel towardyour destination.
Directions
To find a business or type of business. Select your destination,the system uploads your current vehicle location, calculatesa route based on current traffic conditions and sends it backto your vehicle. After the route download is complete, thephone call automatically ends. You then receive audible andvisual driving instructions as you travel toward your destina-tion.
Business search
You can also say the following:
To find the closest business or type of business to your loca-tion, within business search.Search near me
If you need further assistance in finding a location at any timewithin a Directions or Business search and need to speak witha live operator.
Operator
The live operator can assist you by searching for businessesby name or by category, residential addresses by streetaddress or by name or specific street intersections.The system may prompt you to speak with an operator whenit has difficulty matching your voice request. Operator Assistis a feature of your SYNC Services subscription. For moreinformation on Operator Assist, visit www.SYNCMyRide.com/support.
If you miss a turn, SYNC automatically asks if you want theroute updated. Say yes when prompted and the system sendsa new route to your vehicle.

Personalizing
Press the voice button at any time while connected to SYNCServices to interrupt a voice prompt or an audio clip and sayyour voice command.
Push to interrupt
Your subscription is associated with your Bluetooth-enabledcellular phone number, not your VIN (Vehicle IdentificationNumber). You can pair and connect your phone to any vehicleequipped with SYNC Services and continue enjoying yourpersonalized services.
Portable
You can even access your account outside your vehicle. Justuse the number on your phone's call history. Traffic andDirections features do not function properly but informationservices and the 411 connect and text message features areavailable.

Note:You must pair and connect yoursmartphone to SYNC to access AppLink.
Note:iPhone users need to connect thephone to the USB port in order to start theapplication.

USING SYNC™ WITH YOUR
MEDIA PLAYER
You can access and play music from yourdigital music player over your vehicle'sspeaker system using the system's mediamenu or voice commands. You can alsosort and play your music by specificcategories, for example artist and album.
Note:The system is capable of indexing upto 6,000 songs.
SYNC is capable of hosting nearly anydigital media player including: iPod®,Zune™, plays from device players, andmost USB drives. SYNC also supports thefollowing audio formats MP3, WMA, WAVand ACC.
Connecting Your Digital MediaPlayer to the USB Port
Note:If your digital media player has apower switch, make sure you switch it onbefore plugging it in.
To Connect Using Voice Commands
Plug the device into the USB port. SeeUSB Port (page 296).
