5. When the repair work is completed, return the ignition switch to the ″LOCK ″ position before connecting
the battery cables. (At this time, the steering lock mechanism will engage.)
6. Perform a self-diagnosis check of al l control units using CONSULT-III.
Handling for Adhesive and PrimerINFOID:0000000001608227
• Do not use an adhesive which is past its usable date. Shelf life of this product is limited to six months after
the date of manufacture. Carefully adhere to the ex piration or manufacture date printed on the box.
• Keep primers and adhesive in a cool, dry place. I deally, they should be stored in a refrigerator.
• Open the seal of the primer and adhesive just before application. Discard the remainder.
• Before application, be sure to shake the primer container to stir the contents. If any floating material is found,
do not use it.
• If any primer or adhesive contacts the skin, wipe it off with gasoline or equivalent and wash the skin with
soap.
• When using primer and adhesive, always observe the precautions in the instruction manual.

Removal
1. Remove the front door sash cover.
2. Remove the door mirror connector.
3. Remove the door mirror bolts and nut, and remove the door mirror assembly.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL
1. Set mirror assembly mirror glass upward.
2. Apply protective tape to mirror housing.
3. Insert a suitable tool at notch and gently pry mirror glass and
holder from mirror holder bracket.
4. Disconnect two electrical connectors from mirror glass and holder.

1. Set mirror holder bracket and mirror glass and holder in the hor- izontal position.
2. Connect the two connectors to the back of the mirror holder.
3. Align mirror glass and holder with mirror holder bracket and push mirror glass and holder onto mirror holder bracket.
4. Rotate mirror to ensure proper installation.

DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
Disassembly
1. Remove the mirror glass. Refer to MIR-12, "Door Mirror Glass"
2. Remove the center screw (A) and release the actuator hooks
from housing (B).
3. Disconnect the connector (A) and remove the actuator (1).
Assembly
Assembly is the reverse order of disassembly.

1.CONFIRM SYMPTOM
Confirm symptom or customer complaint.

2.CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSIS OPERAT ION OF COMBINATION METER
Perform self-diagnosis of combination meter. Refer to MWI-24, "
Diagnosis Description".
Does self-diagnosis mode operate?
YES >> GO TO 3
NO >> Check power supply and ground circuit of combination meter. Refer to MWI-30, "
COMBINATION
METER : Diagnosis Procedure". Then, GO TO 4
3.CHECK COMBINATION METER (CONSULT-III)
Select “METER/M&A” on CONSULT-II I and perform “SELF-DIAGNOSIS” of combination meter. Refer to MWI-
25, "CONSULT-III Function (METER/M&A)".
Self-diagnostic results content
No malfunction detected>>Repair or replac e the cause of symptom. Then, GO TO 4

COMBINATION METER
• Speedometer, odo/trip meter, tachometer, fuel gauge, engine coolant temperature gauge, engine oil pres-
sure gauge, voltage gauge and information display are controlled by the unified meter control unit, which is
built into the combination meter.
• Warning and indicator lamps are controlled by the unified meter control unit and by components connected directly to the combination meter.
• Digital meter is adopted for odo/trip meter.* *The record of the odometer is kept even if the battery cable is disconnected. The record of the trip meter is
erased when the battery cable is disconnected.
• Odo/trip meter segments can be checked in diagnosis mode.
• Meter/gauge can be checked in diagnosis mode.
