When trunk lid opener switch is ON, BCM opens trunk opener actuator.
BCM can open trunk lid opener actuator when
vehicle speed is less than 5 km/h (3MPH)
vehicle security system is in the disarmed or pre-armed phase
BCM does not open trunk lid opener actuator when
vehicle speed is more than 5 km/h (3MPH)
vehicle security system is in the armed or alarm phase

1.CHECK FUNCTION
1. Use CONSULT-III to perform Active Test (“DOOR LOCK”).
2. Touch “ALL LCK” or “ALL UNLK” to check that it works normally.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Door lock actuator is OK.
NO >> Refer to DLK-62, "

1.CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR OUTPUT SIGNAL
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect front door lock assembly (passenger side).
3. Check voltage between front door lock assembly (passenger side) harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace front door lock assembly (passenger side). Refer to DLK-222, "DOOR LOCK : Removal
and Installation".
NO >> GO TO 2.
2.CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect BCM connector.
2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and front door lock assembly (passenger side) har-
ness connector.
3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace BCM. Refer to BCS-78, "Removal and Installation".
NO >> Repair or replace harness.

4. Align the tips of the upper and lower parts, and then push them
together until it is securely closed.
CAUTION:
When replacing battery, keep dirt, grease, and other for-
eign matter off the electrode contact area.
After replacing the battery, check that all Intelligent Key
functions work normally.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Intelligent Key is OK.
NO >> Check remote keyless entry receiver. Refer to DLK-67,
"ComponentFunctionCheck".

REMOVAL
1. Remove front door finisher. Refer to INT-30, "DRIVER SIDE : Removal and Installation" (driver side) or
INT-33, "
PASSENGER SIDE : Removal and Installation" (passenger side).
2. Remove front door glass. Refer to GW-17, "
Removal and Installation".
3. Remove front door module assembly. Refer to GW-20, "
Removal and Installation".
4. Remove outside handle and outside handle bracket. Refer to DLK-224, "
OUTSIDE HANDLE : Removal
and Installation".
5. Remove door lock assembly TORX bolts.
6. Disconnect door lock actuator connector, and then remove door lock assembly.
7. Remove key rod from door lock assembly.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Release the lock knob at the back of the Intelligent Key and remove the mechanical key.
2. Insert a flat-bladed screwdriver (A) wrapped with a cloth into the
slit of the corner and twist it to separate the upper part from the
lower part.
CAUTION:
Never touch the circuit board or battery terminal.
The key fob is water-resistant. However, if it does get wet,
immediately wipe it dry.
3. Replace the battery with new one.
4. Align the tips of the upper and lower parts, and then push them
together until it is securely closed.
CAUTION:
When replacing battery, keep dirt, grease, and other for-
eign matter off the electrode contact area.
After replacing the battery, check that all Intelligent Key
functions work normally.

CAUTION:
After any collision, inspect all seat belt assemblies, including retractors and other attached hard-
wares (I.e. anchor bolt, guide rail set). Nissan recommends to replace all seat belt assemblies in use
during a collision, unless not damaged and properly operating after minor collision.
Also inspect seat belt assemblies not in use during a collision, and replace if damaged or improperly
operating.
Seat belt pre-tensioner should be replaced even if the seat belts are not in use during a frontal colli-
sion where the driver and passenger air bags are deployed.
If any component of seat belt assembly is questionable, do not repair.
Replace as seat belt assembly.
If webbing is cut, frayed, or damaged, replace belt assembly.
Never oil tongue and buckle.
Use a genuine NISSAN seat belt assembly.
For details, refer to SB-3, "
SEAT BELT RETRACTOR : Inspection" , SB-8, "SEAT BELT RETRACTOR :
Inspection" in SB section.
Check anchors for loose mounting
Check belts for damage
Check retractor for smooth operation
Check function of buckles and tongues when buckled and released
BODY CORROSION

Visually check body panels for collision damage (scratches, chipping, rubbing, etc.) or damage to the anti-cor-
rosion materials. In particular, check the following locations.

Hood front end, door lower end, trunk lid rear end, etc.

Side sill of rear fender and center pillar, rear wheel housing of rear fender, around strut tower in engine com-
partment, etc.
