LIGHTING CONTROLS
System for selection and control of the
various front and rear lamps providing
the vehicle’s lighting. Manual controls
The lighting commands are made direct-
ly by the driver by means of ring
A and
stalk B .
lighting off,
sidelamps only,
dipped or main beam head-lamps,
B. stalk for inversion of the beam by pull-
ing: dipped headlamps/main beam
headlamps.
In the lighting off and sidelamps modes,
the driver can switch on the main beam
h e a d l a m p s d i r e c t l y ( " h e a d l a m p fl a s h " )
by pulling and holding the stalk.
Displays
The corresponding indicator lamp
comes on on the instrument panel to
c o n fi r m t h e s w i t c h i n g o n o f t h e l i g h t i n g
selected.
Main lighting
The vehicle’s various front and rear lamps
are designed to adapt the driver’s visibility
gradually in relation to the climatic condi-
tions:
- sidelamps, to be seen,
- dipped beam headlamps to see
without dazzling other drivers,
-main beam headlamps for good visibility when the road is clear.
Additional lighting
Other lamps are installed to respond to
particular driving conditions:
- rear foglamps to be seen from a dis-tance,
- front foglamps for even better visibility,
- directional headlamps for improved visibility around bends.
Programmes
Various automatic lighting control modes are also available according to the fol-lowing options:
- "guide-me-home" lighting,
- automatic lighting,
- static directional lighting.
A. main lighting mode selection ring, with:

Model with rear foglamps only

rear foglamps
C. foglamps selection ring. These operate with the dipped and main beam headlamps.
To switch on the foglamps, turn ring C
forwards.
When the lights are switched off auto- m a t i c a l l y ( o n A U T O m o d e l ) , t h e f o g lamps and the dipped headlamps will remain on.
To switch off all of the lighting turn
ring C rearwards.
To switch on the foglamps, turn ring C
forwards.
To switch off the rear foglamps, turn
ring C rearwards twice in succession.
When the lighting is switched off au-
t o m a t i c a l l y ( o n A U T O m o d e l ) o r w h e n
the dipped headlamps are switched off
manually, the foglamps and the sidela-
mps will remain on.
Turn the ring rearwards to switch
off the foglamps, the sidelamps will
then switch off. In good weather or in rain, both day
and night, the front foglamps and
the rear foglamps are prohibited. In
these situations, the intensity of their
beams may dazzle other drivers.
Do not forget to switch off the front
foglamps and the rear foglamps
when they are no longer necessary.
Lighting on reminder
The triggering of an audible signal
when a front door is opened warns
the driver that they have forgotten
to switch off the vehicle’s lighting,
with the ignition off.
In this case, switching off the light-
ing will stop the audible signal.

In fog or snow, the brightness

Therefore, the lighting will not come
on automatically.
Do not cover the brightness sen-
sor, coupled with the rain sensor
and located in the centre of the
windscreen behind the interior mir-
ror; the associated functions would
no longer be controlled.
Coupling with the "Guide-me-home"
lighting
Association with the automatic lighting
provides the "guide-me-home" lighting
with the following additional options:
- selection of the lighting duration to
15, 30 or 60 seconds in the vehi-
cle parameters on the multifunction
s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a t i o n m e n u ,
- automatic activation of "guide-me- home" lighting when automatic lighting
is in operation.
Automatic lighting
The sidelamps and dipped beam head-
lamps are switched on automatically,
without any action on the part of the
driver, when a low level of external light
is detected (sensor behind the interior
m i r r o r ) o r w h e n t h e w i n d s c r e e n w i p e r s
are switched on.
As soon as the brightness returns to a
s u f fi c i e n t l e v e l o r a f t e r t h e w i n d s c r e e n
wipers are switched off, the lighting is
switched off automatically.
"Guide-me-home" lighting
porarily, after switching off the vehicle's ignition, to make the driver's exit easier in poor light.
Activation
With the ignition off, activate a
" h e a d l a m p fl a s h " u s i n g s t a l k B .
A s e c o n d " h e a d l a m p fl a s h " s w i t c h e s the function off again.
Switching off
The "fguide-me-home" lighting is switched
off automatically following the door lock-
ing command, after a given time. Activation
Turn ring A to the " AUTO " position.
The automatic lighting is accompanied
by a message on the multifunction
screen. Operating fault
In the event of a malfunction of
the brightness sensor, the light-
ing comes on accompanied by
the service warning lamp, an
audible signal and a message on the
multifunction screen.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Daytime running lamps *
O n v e h i c l e s fi t t e d w i t h d a y t i m e r u n n i n g
lamps, the dipped headlamps come on
when the vehicle is started.
This indicator lamp comes on
on the instrument panel.
The instruments and controls (instru-
ment panel, multifunction screen, air
c o n d i t i o n i n g c o n t r o l p a n e l , . . . ) a r e n o t
lit, unless the automatic lighting mode
is activated or the lighting is switched
on manually.
Deactivation
Turn ring A to a position other than

STATIC DIRECTIONAL
LIGHTING
When the dipped or main beam head-lamps are on, this function enables the beam to light the inside of the turn with an additional angle of approximately 30°.
The use of this lighting is optimum above all at low and average speed (city driving, w i n d i n g r o a d s , . . . ) .

Switching on
The system is switched on from a certain speed and a certain angle of rotation of the steering wheel.
Operating fault The function is activated or
deactivated via the multi-
f u n c t i o n s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a -
tion menu.
By default, this function is activated.
In the event of a malfunction,
t h i s w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s o n
the instrument panel, accom-
panied by a message on the
multifunction screen.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Switching off
The system is switched off below a certain angle of rotation of the steering wheel.
It is switched off when reverse gear is engaged.
HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT
To avoid causing a nuisance to other road users, the height of the headlamps should be adjusted in relation to the load in the vehicle.
0. 1 or 2 people in the front seats.
-. 3 people.
1. 5 people.
2. 5 people + maximum authorised load.
3. Driver + maximum authorised load. without directional lighting

WIPER CONTROLS
System for the selection and control of
the various front and rear wiping modes
permitting the dispersal of rain and
cleaning.
The vehicle's various front and rear wip-
ers are designed to gradually improve
the driver's visibility in relation to the
weather conditions. Manual controls
The wiping commands are made directly
by the driver using stalk
A and ring B .

Various automatic wiping control modes
are also available depending on the fol-
lowing options:
- automatic windscreen wiping,

Reverse gear
When reverse gear is engaged, if the
windscreen wipers are operating, the
rear wiper will start.
Programming
Pull the windscreen wiper stalk to-wards you. The windscreen wash then the windscreen wipers operate f o r a fi x e d p e r i o d .
The headlamp wash is also activated, if the dipped headlamps are on .
Rear wiper
In the presence of snow or con-
siderable frost and when using a
tailgate bicycle carrier, deactivate
the automatic rear wiper via the
m u l t i f u n c t i o n s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a t i o n
menu. The function is activated or
switched off via the multi-
f u n c t i o n s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a -
tion menu.
By default, this function is
activated.

Special position of the windscreen wipers Automatic windscreen wiping
The windscreen wipers operate auto-
matically, without any action on the part
of the driver, if rain is detected (sensor
b e h i n d t h e i n t e r i o r m i r r o r ) , a d a p t i n g t h e i r
speed to the intensity of the rainfall.
Activation
This is controlled manually by the driver
by pushing the stalk A to the "AUTO"
position.
It is accompanied by a message on the
multifunction screen.
the ignition, any action on the stalk posi-tions the wipers in the centre of the windscreen.
This action enables you to position the wiper blades for winter parking.
To park the wipers after this has been done, switch on the ignition and operate the stalk.
Do not cover the rain sensor, cou-
pled with the brightness sensor and
located in the centre of the wind-
screen behind the interior mirror.
Switch off the ignition when using
an automatic car wash.
In winter, it is advisable to wait until
the windscreen is completely clear
of ice before activating the auto-
matic wiping. The automatic wiping must be re-
activated if the ignition has been off
for more than one minute, by push-
ing the stalk
A downwards.
Switching off
This is controlled manually by the driver
by moving the stalk A to another posi-
tion and returning it to position "0" .
It is accompanied by a message on the
multifunction screen. Operating fault
If an automatic wiping malfunction oc-
curs, the wipers will operate in intermittent
mode.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.

lamp comes on gradually: Map reading lamps
With the ignition on, press the cor-responding switch.
- when the vehicle is unlocked, - when the key is removed from the ignition, - when the remote control locking but-ton is activated, in order to locate your vehicle.
Permanently off.
Permanent lighting.
It switches off gradually:
- when the vehicle is locked,
- when the ignition is switched on,
- 30 seconds after the last door is closed.

ADVICE ON CHILD SEATS
Deactivate the passenger airbag
w h e n a " r e a r f a c i n g " c h i l d s e a t i s i n -
stalled on the front seat. Otherwise,
the child would risk being seriously
injured or killed if the airbag were to
i n fl a t e .
