Warning lamp is on Cause Action/Observations
Maximum
coolant
temperature fi x e d r e d .
The temperature of the
cooling system is too high. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait until the engine has cooled down before
topping up the level, if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
Engine oil
pressure fi x e d . There is a fault with the
engine lubrication system. Stop as soon it is safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Battery
charge fi x e d . The battery charging circuit
has a fault (dirty or loose
terminals, slack or cut
alternator belt, ...). This lamp should switch off when the engine is
started.
If it does not switch off, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
Door(s) open fi x e d i f t h e
speed is
below 6 mph (10 km/h).
A door, the boot or the rear
screen is still open. Close the door or boot.
fi x e d a n d
accompanied
by an audible signal if the speed is
above 6 mph (10 km/h).
Directional
headlamps fl a s h i n g . The directional headlamps
system is faulty. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.

by pressing the "ESC" button.

Controls Main menu
There are three display control buttons:
- "ESC" to abandon the operation in
progress,
- "MENU" to scroll through the menus
or sub-menus,
- "OK" to select the menu or sub-
menu required.
Press the "MENU" button to scroll
through the various menus of the
main menu :
- v e h i c l e c o n fi g u r a t i o n ,
- options,
- display settings,
- language,
- units.
Press the "OK" button to select the
menu required.

With the audio equipment switched on,
once the "Radio-CD" menu has been
selected you can activate or deacti-
vate the functions linked with use of the
radio (RDS, REG) or the CD (introscan,
s h u f fl e , C D r e p e a t ) .

CD" application, refer to the Peugeot
Connect Sound part of the "Audio and
Telematics" section.

lighting activated") may appear tempo-
rarily. These can be cleared by pressing
the "

screen,

MODE" button to change

The condensation created by the
air conditioning results in a dis-
charge of water under the vehicle
which is perfectly normal.
In order for these systems to be fully effective, follow the operation and main-
tenance guidelines below:
To obtain an even air distribution, take care not to obst ruct the exterior air
intake grilles located at the base of the windscreen, the n ozzles, the vents
and the air outlets, as well as the air extractor located in the boot.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor, located on the dashboard ; this is used
for regulation of the air conditioning system.
Operate the air conditioning system for at least 5 to 10 mi nutes, once or
twice a month to keep it in perfect working order.
E n s u r e t h a t t h e p a s s e n g e r c o m p a r t m e n t fi l t e r i s i n g o o d c o n d i t i o n a n d
h a v e t h e fi l t e r e l e m e n t s r e p l a c e d r e g u l a r l y ( r e f e r t o t h e " C h e c k s " s e c t i o n ) .

T h a n k s t o i t s s p e c i a l a c t i v e a d d i t i v e , i t c o n t r i b u t e s t o t h e p u r i fi c a t i o n o f
the air breathed by the occupants and the cleanliness of the passenger
compartment (reduction of allergic symptoms, bad odours and greasy
deposits).
To guarantee correct operation of the air conditioning syste m, you are also
advised to have it checked regularly as recommended in the Warranty and
Maintenance Record.
If the system does not produce cold air, deactiva te it and contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
When towing the maximum load on a steep gradient in high temperatures,
switching off the air conditioning increases the available e ngine power and so
improves the towing ability.
I f a f t e r a n e x t e n d e d s t o p i n s u n s h i n e , t h e i n t e r i o r t e m p e r a t u r e i s v e r y h i g h , fi r s t
ventilate the passenger compartment for a few moments.
P u t t h e a i r fl o w c o n t r o l a t a s e t t i n g h i g h e n o u g h t o q u i c k l y c h a n g e t h e a i r i n t h e
passenger compartment.
The air conditioning system does not contain chlorine and do es not present
any danger to the ozone layer.

REAR SEATS
Bench seat the left-hand part (2/3) or
right-hand part (1/3) of which can be
folded to adapt the load space in the
boot. Never drive with the head restraints
removed; they must be in place and
correctly adjusted.
As the head restraints are not inter-
changeable, take care to put them
back in their original position when
r e fi t t i n g .
R e a r h e a d r e s t r a i n t s
These have a high position (comfort)
and a low position (rear visibility).
They can also be removed; to remove them:
pull the head restraint upwards to
the stop,
then, press the lug.
6. Armrests (except 3-door)
These can be folded down and are re-
movable.
To remove an armrest, press the
button located between the armrest
and the side of the seat and pull it
off.

Hooks

To remove the shelf:
unhook the two cords,
raise the shelf slightly, then remove it. The hooks can be used to secure shop-
ping bags.
W h e n c h a n g i n g a w h e e l
The hooks facilitate access to the
spare wheel by holding up the boot
carpet by its cord.
You have two storage options:
- either upright behind the front seats,
- or upright behind the rear seats.
