Changing the integrated direction
indicator side repeaters Changing the foglamp bulbs
For replacement of these bulbs, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer.
 Insert a screwdriver towards the centre of the repeater between the
repeater and the base of the mirror.
 Tilt the screwdriver to extract the repeater and remove the repeater.
 Disconnect the repeater connector.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
To obtain a replacement repeater, con-
tact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Changing the sidelamp bulbs
 Disconnect the main headlamp
connector.
 Remove the plastic protective cover by pulling on the tab.
 Turn the bulb holder one quarter of a turn and remove it.
 Pull the bulb and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
Changing the dipped, main beam or
directional headlamp bulbs
 Disconnect the main headlamp connector.
 Remove the corresponding plastic protective cover by pulling on the tab.
 Disconnect the connector of the corresponding lamp.
 Move aside the spring to release the bulb and remove the bulb.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.

Rear lamps
1. Brake lamps (P 21 W).
2. Sidelamps (LEDs).
3. Foglamps (P 21 W).
4. Direction indicators (PY 21 W a mber).
5. Reversing lamps (R 10 W). Changing bulbs
These bulbs (with the exception of the diode
lamps) are changed from outside the boot:
 fi rst open the fl ap to gain access to
the fi xing bolt,
 remove the lamp fi xing bolt,
 remove the lamp from the outside,
 disconnect the lamp connector,
 remove the lamp seal,
 press the four tabs and remove the bulb holder,
 turn the bulb one quarter of a turn and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.
Amber coloured bulbs, such as the
direction indicators, must be re-
placed with bulbs of identical speci-
fi cation and colour.

Changing the third brake lamp
(LEDs)
For the replacement of this type of LED
lamp, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualifi ed workshop. Changing the number plate lamp
bulbs (W 5 W)
 Insert a thin screwdriver in one of
the exterior holes of the lens.

Push it towards the outside to unclip it.
 Remove the lens.
 Pull the bulb and change it. High pressure washing
When using this type of washing
on stubborn dirt, do not persist on
the headlamps, the lamps and their
surrounds to avoid damaging their
protective coating and seals.

CHANGING A FUSE
Procedure for the replacement of a
failed fuse with a new fuse in order to
rectify a failure of the corresponding
function.
Access to the tools
The extraction tweezer is installed on the
back of the dashbaord fusebox cover.
To gain access to it:
 unclip the cover pulling at the top,
 remove the cover completely,
 remove the tweezer.
Replacing a fuse
Before replacing a fuse, the cause of the
failure must be identifi ed and rectifi ed.
 Identify the failed fuse by examining the condition of its fi lament.
 Use the special tweezer to extract the fuse from its housing.
 Always replace the faulty fuse with a fuse of the same rating.
 Check that the number marked on the box and the rating marked on
the top of the fuse correspond to the
following tables. Good

Engine compartment fuses
The fusebox is placed in the engine
compartment, near the battery (left-
hand side).
Access to the fuses
 Unclip the cover.
 Replace the fuse (refer to the cor-responding paragraph).
 When you have fi nished, close the cover carefully to ensure correct
sealing of the fuse box. Fuse table

BATTERY
Procedure for charging your battery
when it is fl at or for starting the engine
using another battery.
Access to the battery
Starting using another battery
 Connect the red cable to the posi-tive terminal (+) of the fl at battery A ,
then to the positive terminal (+) of
the slave battery B .
 Connect one end of the green or black cable to the negative termi-
nal (-) of the slave battery B .
 Connect the other end of the green or black cable to the vehicle's offset
earth point.
 Start the support vehicle.
 Operate the starter of the broken down vehicle and let the engine run.
 Wait until the engine returns to idle and disconnect the cables.
The battery is located under the bonnet.
To gain access to it:
 open the bonnet using the interior re-
lease lever, then the exterior safety
catch,
 secure the bonnet stay,
 lift the plastic cover on the (+) terminal.
Certain vehicle functions may not
be available if the battery is not suf-
fi ciently charged.

Do not charge the batteries without
disconnecting the terminals fi rst.
Do not disconnect the terminals
while the engine is running.
The batteries contain harmful sub-
stances such as sulphuric acid and
lead. They must be disposed of in
accordance with regulations and
must not, in any circumstances, be
discarded with household waste.
Take used remote control batteries
and vehicle batteries to a special
collection point.
Charging the battery using a battery charger
 Disconnect the battery from the ve- hicle.
 Follow the instructions for use pro- vided by the manufacturer of the
charger.
 Reconnect starting with the nega- tive terminal (-).
 Check that the terminals and connec- tors are clean. If they are covered with
sulphate (whitish or greenish deposit),
remove them and clean them.
It is advisable to disconnect the
battery if the vehicle is to be left un-
used for more than one month. Before disconnecting the
battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off
the ignition before disconnecting
the battery.
Close the windows and the doors
before disconnecting the battery.
Following reconnection of the
battery
Following reconnection of the bat-
tery, switch on the ignition and wait
1 minute before starting to permit
initialisation of the electronic sys-
tems. However, if slight diffi culties
are encountered following this op-
eration, contact a PEUGEOT deal-
er or a qualifi ed workshop.
Referring to the corresponding sec-
tion, you must yourself reinitialise:
- the remote control key,
- the one-touch electric windows,
- the GPS satellite navigation
system (depending on version).
Disconnecting the (+) cable
Reconnecting the (+) cable
 Position the open clamp
E of the
cable on the positive post (+) of the
battery.
 Press vertically on the clamp E to
position it correctly on the battery.
 Lock the clamp by spreading the po- sitioning lug and then lowering the
tab D .
Do not apply excessive force on the
tab as locking will not be possible if the
clamp is not positioned correctly; start
the procedure again.
 Raise the locking tab D fully to re-
lease the cable terminal clamp E .
