Diesel engine pre-heatingfixed. The START/STOPswitch hasbeen pressed (ignition on).Wait until the warning lamp goes off before star ting.Once it goes off, star ting is immediate, on condition that the brakepedal remains pressed for automatic or electronic gearboxes, or theclutch pedal is pressed fully down for manual gearboxes.
The period of illumination of the warning lamp is determined by theambient conditions (up to about thir ty seconds in extreme conditions).
If the engine does not star t, switch the ignition off and then on, waituntil the warning lamp goes off again, then start the engine.


Parking brakefixed. The parking brake is applied or
not properly released.Release the parking brake to switch off the warning lamp, keepingyour foot on the brake pedal. Observe the safety recommendations.
For fur ther information on the parking brake, refer to the "Parkingbrake" section.
Deactivation of the automatic functions of the electric parkingbrake
fixed. The "automatic application" (on switching off the engine) and"automatic release" functions are
deactivated or faulty. Activate the function
(according to country) via the vehicle configuration menu or contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop if automatic application / release is not possible.
The parking brake can be released manually using the emergencyrelease procedure.
For more information on the electric parking brake, refer to the corresponding section.
Foot on thebrake pedalflashing. If you hold the vehicle on a risingincline using the accelerator for
too long, the clutch overheats.Use the brake pedal and
/or the electric parking brake.

Serviceon temporarily. A minor fault has occurred for which
there is no specific warning lamp. Identify the fault by reading the message shown on
the screen, such as, for example:
- the h
ybrid system,
- the closin
g of the doors, boot or bonnet,
- the engine oil level,
- the screenwash level,
- the remote control battery,
- saturation of the par ticle emission filter (Diesel).
For any other faults, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.

Access
Low fuel level
When the low fuel level in the tank isreached, this warning lamp comes on in the instrument panel, accompanied by an audible warning and a message
in the instrument panel screen.
Fuel supply cut-off
Your vehicle is equipped with a safety device
which cuts off the fuel supply in the event of a collision.


It is still possible to use a fuel can to fill
the tank but this must be done slowly. In order to ensure a good flow of fuel, do not place the nozzle of the fuel canin direct contact with the flap of themisfuel prevention device.


Diesel misfuel prevention

Mechanical device which prevents filling the tank of a Diesel vehicle with petrol. It avoids the risk of engine damage that can result from filling with the wrong fuel.
Located in the filler neck, the misfuel prevention device appears when the filler cap is removed.
When a petrol
filler nozzle is introduced into the fuel filler neck of your Diesel vehicle, it comes
into contact with the flap. The system remains
closed and prevents filling. Do not persist but introduce a Diesel filler
nozzle.

Operation



Tr a v e l l i ng abroad
As Diesel fuel pump nozzles may be different
in other countries, the presence of the misfuel prevention device may make refuellingimpossible.
Before travelling abroad, we recommend that you check with the PEUGEOT dealer network,
whether your vehicle is suitable for the fuelpumps in the country in which you want to
travel.
When it
first comes on, around 7 litresof fuelremain in the tank.
You must refuel as soon as possible to avoid
running out.

Access
Quality of the fuel used for
Diesel engines

The Diesel engines are perfectly compatible
with biofuels which conform to current andfuture European standards (Diesel fuel which complies with standard EN 590 mixed with
a biofuel which complies with standard EN
14214
) available at the pumps (containing up to
7 % Fatty Acid Methyl Ester).
The B30 biofuel can be used in cer tain Diesel engines; however, this use is subject to strict
application of the special ser vicing conditions. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
The use of an
y other type of (bio)fuel(vegetable or animal oils, pure or diluted,
domestic fuel...) is strictly prohibited (risk of
damage to the engine and fuel system).

On entering the vehicle, if the interior temperature is much colder or warmer than the comfort value, there is noneed to change the value displayed in order to obtain the comfort required.The system corrects the differencein temperature automatically and asquickly as possible.

f you wish, you can change one of settings
provided by the system. The other functions will still be controlled automatically.) Pressing the "AUTO"
button returns the system to completely automatic operation.


Manual operation
5. Mono-zone / Dual-zone
The air conditioning is designed to operate effectively in all seasons,
with the windows closed.
6. Air conditioning On / Off
It allows you:
- in summer, to lower the temperature,
- in winter, above 3°C, to improve demistin
gperformance.


7. Maximum air conditioning
If you want to temporarily refresh theair in the passenger compartment,
press this button and "LO"isdisplayed.
With Stop & Start, when demisting has been switched on, the Diesel engine does not stop.Switchin
g on) Press the "A/C"button, the associated green indicator lamp comes on.The air conditioning does not operate when
the air flow control is set to off.
Switching off) Press the "A /C "
button again, the
associated green indicator lamp goes off.Switching off the air conditioning may result in
some discomfort (humidity, misting). To return to the previous settings, press the

Switching off

The demist /defrost switches off automatically toprevent an excessive consumption of current. )It is possible to stop the demist /defrost
operation before it is switched off automatically by pressing the button again.
The indicator lamp associated with the
button
goes off.

The system automatically manages the air conditioning, air flow and air intake, and provides optimum distribution towards the
windscreen and side windows.
Adjust the temperature control to quickly
demist /defrost the windows.
To switch it off, press the "visibility" button again, the warning lamp in the button goes off and the system rever ts to the previous settings.
)Select this programme to demist or defrost the windscreen andside windows as quickly as possible.
The system automatically manages the air conditioning, air flow and air intake, and

With the quad-zone digital air conditioning,
pressing this button deactivates and locks the
rear air conditioning. ) To stop the programme, press either the "visibility"button again or "AU TO "

On vehicle fitted with HDi engines, the fuelsystem must be primed if you run out of fuel; refer to the corresponding engine compar tment
view.











Running out of fuel (Diesel)


If the tank on your vehicle is fitted witha misfuel prevention device, refer to the "Misfuel prevention (Diesel)" section.

Fill the fuel tank with at least five litres of
Diesel.) Open the bonnet.)
If necessary, unclip the style cover for
access to the priming pump. ) Slacken the bleed screw. )
Squeeze and release the priming pump
repeatedly until fuel appears in the
transparent pipe.) Tighten the bleed screw.)
Operate the star ter until the engine starts(if the engine fails to star t at the first
attempt, wait around 15 seconds before
tr
ying again). ) If the engine fails to star t after a few
attempts, operate the priming pump again,
then the starter.) Put the style cover back in position and clip it in place, ensuring that it has clipped correctly. )
Close the bonnet.

2 litre HDi engine


If the engine does not star t first time, don't keep trying. Start the procedureagain from the beginning.







Before doing anything under the bonnet,switch off the ignition (Readylamp off) to avoid any risk of injury resulting from automatic operation of the engine.
