When a door is opened while the door
position is on, the lights turn on.

The light turns on/off according to the
opening/closing of the doors.

QIlluminated entry system
The lights automatically turn on/off according to the power switch mode, the presence of the electronic key, whether
the doors are locked/unlocked, and whether the doors are opened/closed.
QTo prevent the 12-volt battery from being discharged
If the interior lights remain on when the power switch is turned to OFF, the lights will go off automatically after 20 min-
utes.
QThe interior lights may turn on automatically when
If any of the SRS airbags deploy (inflate)
or in the event of a strong rear impact, the interior lights will turn on automati-cally.
The interior lights will turn off automati- cally after approximately 20 minutes. The interior lights can be turned off man-
ually. However, in order to help prevent further collisions, it is recommended that they be left on until safety can be
ensured. (The interior lights may not turn on auto-
matically depending on the force of the impact and conditions of the collision.)

Setting (e.g. the time elapsed before the

Do not leave glasses, lighters or spray cans in the storage spaces, as this may cause the following when
cabin temperature becomes high:
OGlasses may be deformed by heat or cracked if they come into contact
with other stored items.
OLighters or spray cans may
explode. If they come into contact with other stored items, the lighter may catch fire or the spray can may
release gas, causing a fire hazard.

Keep the glove box closed. In the event of sudden braking or sudden swerving, an accident may occur due
to an occupant being struck by the open glove box or the items stored inside.

OWhen storing a bottle, close the cap.
OThe bottle may not be stored depend- ing on its size or shape.
Cup holders
WARNING
QItems unsuitable for the cup holders
Do not place anything other than cups or beverage cans in the cup holders. Inappropriate items must not be
stored in the cup holders even if the lid is closed. Other items may be thrown out of the
holders in the event of an accident or sudden braking and cause injury. If possible, cover hot drinks to prevent
burns.
Bottle holders
WARNING
QItems unsuitable for the bottle holders
Do not place anything other than a
bottle in the bottle holders. Other items may be thrown out of the holders in the event of an accident or
sudden braking and cause injury.

Do not place open bottles or glass and paper cups containing liquid in the bottle holders. The contents may
spill and glasses may break.
Auxiliary box (if equipped)

Do not leave the auxiliary box open while driving.
Injuries may result in the event of an accident or sudden braking.
QItems unsuitable for storing
Do not store items heavier than 200 g (0.44 lb.).
Doing so may cause the auxiliary box to open and the items inside may fall out, resulting in an accident.

Observe the following precautions when putting items in the open tray.
Failure to do so may cause items to be thrown out of the tray in the event of sudden braking or steering. In
these cases, the items may interfere with pedal operation or cause driver distraction, resulting in an accident.
ODo not store items in the tray that can easily shift or roll out.
ODo not stack items in the tray higher than the tray’s edge.
ODo not put items in the tray that may protrude over the tray’s edge.

luggage cover and insert into
the recess to install.

QWhen operating the deck board
Do not place anything on the deck
board when operating the board. Oth- erwise, your fingers may be caught or an accident may result causing inju-
ries.

Keep the deck board closed.
In the event of sudden braking, an accident may occur due to an occu-
pant being struck by the deck board or the items stored under the deck board.

hook it onto the anchors.

and right anchors and allow it to
retract.
2 Compress the end of the lug-
gage cover and lift the luggage
cover up.

1 Open the rear deck board and
remove the deck side cover.
2 Place the both ends of the lug-
gage cover into the holder.
WARNING
QLuggage cover
OWhen installing/stowing the lug-
gage cover, make sure that the lug- gage cover is securely installed/stowed. Failure to do so
may result in serious injury in the event of sudden braking or a colli-sion.
ODo not place anything on the lug-gage cover. In the event of sudden
braking or turning, the item may go flying and strike an occupant. This could lead to an unexpected acci-
dent, resulting in death or serious injury.
