If a warning message is displayed
Stop the vehicle immediately.
The following warnings indicate the possibility of damage to the vehi-
cle that may lead to an accident. Immediately stop the vehicle in a
safe place and contact any authorized Toyota dealer or repairer, or
another duly qualified and equipped professional.
Warning messageDetails
Indicates an abnormal engine oil pressure.
A buzzer also sounds.
The warning light may turn on if the engine oil
pressure is too low.
The multi-information display show s warnings of system malfunc-
tions, incorrectly performed operations, or shows messages that
indicate a need for maintenance. When a message is shown, perform
the correction procedure ap propriate to the message.

comes on or flashes when a
message is being shown on
the multi-information display.

If any of the warning messages is shown again after its correction
procedure has been performed, contact any authorized Toyota
dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped profes-
sional.

Have the vehicle inspected immediately.
Failing to investigate the cause of the following warnings may lead to
the system operating abnormally and possibly cause an accident.
Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Toyota dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional, immedi-
ately.

Press the “ON-OFF” button once to deactivate the

tem. (if equipped)

fuel filter.

Indicates that the pre-collision system is dis-

NOTICE
■ If the “DRAIN WATER FROM FUEL FILTER” warning message is dis-
played
Never drive the vehicle if the warning message is displayed. Continued driv-
ing with water accumulated in the fuel filter will damage the fuel injection
pump.

Follow the correction procedures.
A buzzer sounds and a warning message is shown on the multi-infor-
mation display. After taking the specified steps to correct the sus-
pected problem, check that the warning light turns off.

the VSC (Vehicle Sta-
bility Control) system
was turned off, the
pre-collision braking
and pre-collision
brake assist are dis-
abled (The pre-colli-
sion warning function
will be operational)
Turn the VSC on.

The system is tempo-
rarily canceled
because the operating
conditions of the front
sensor (temperature,
etc.) are not met.
The following systems
may be suspended:
• PCS (Pre-Collision
System) (if equipped).
• LDA (Lane Departure
Alert) (if equipped);
• Automatic High Beam
(if equipped)
The system can be
operated when the
operating conditions of
the front sensor (tem-
perature, etc.) are met.
Turn the system off,
wait for a while, and
then turn the system
back on.
The area of the wind-
shield in front of the
front sensor is fogged
up or covered with
dirt, rain, ice, snow,
etc.
The following systems
may be suspended:
• PCS (Pre-Collision
System) (if equipped).
• LDA (Lane Departure
Alert) (if equipped);
• Automatic High Beam
(if equipped)
Turn the system off,
clear the windshield of
dirt, fog, ice, etc. then
turn the system back
on. ( P. 265)

(Lane Departure Alert)
system cannot be
used because the
vehicle speed is lower
than approximately
50 km/h (32 mph) (if
equipped).
Drive the vehicle at
approximately 50 km/h
(32 mph) or higher.
Indicates that the LDA
(Lane Departure Alert)
system cannot be
used because the
vehicle speed is out-
side of the operational
range (if equipped).
Drive the vehicle while
lowering the vehicle
speed.

Indicates that engine
oil is scheduled to be
changed. (The indica-
tor will not work prop-
erly unless the oil
maintenance data has
been reset.)
Check the level of
engine oil, and add if
necessary.
If necessary, have the
engine oil changed by
any authorized Toyota
dealer or repairer, or
another duly qualified
and equipped profes-
sional. After changing
the engine oil, the oil
change system should
be reset.

engine oil scheduled

and the oil mainte-

Check and have the
engine oil and oil filter
changed by any autho-
rized Toyota dealer or

• Indicates that the DPF
catalytic converter
needs to be cleaned
due to repeated short
trips and/or low-speed
driving.
• Indicates that the
amount of accumu-
lated deposits in the
DPF catalytic con-
verter has reached the
specified level.
To clean the DPF cata-
lytic converter, drive the
vehicle at a speed of
65 km/h (40 mph) or
greater for 20 to 30 min-
utes as much as possi-
ble until the warning
message turns off.
Do not turn off the
engine as much as pos-
sible until the warning
message turns off.
If it is not possible to
drive the vehicle at
speeds of 65 km/h
(40 mph) or greater, or
the DPF system warn-
ing light does not turn
off even after driving for
more than 30 minutes,
have the vehicle
inspected by any autho-
rized Toyota dealer or
repairer, or another duly
qualified and equipped
professional.
