B450A01E-AAT Front Drink Holder The front drink holder for holding cups is located on the right side of the parking brake.
B530A01A-AAT Always engage the parking brake be- fore leaving the car. This also turns onthe parking brake indicator light when the key is in the "ON" or "START" position. Before driving away, be surethat the parking brake is fully released and the indicator light is off.
o To engage the parking brake, pull
the lever up as far as possible.
o To release the parking brake, pull up the lever and press the thumb button. Then, while holding the but- ton in, lower the brake lever. B530A01E
B440A01E-AAT Rear Ashtray The rear ashtray may be opened by pulling the lid out by its top edge. To remove the ashtray to empty or clean it, press down on the spring-loaded tabinside the ashtray and lift the ashtray upward and pull it all the way out.

B450B03E-AAT Rear Drink Holder (If installed) The rear drink holder for holding cups is located in the rear seat center (center ofthe rear seat arm rest- 5 door). The drink holder can be used by pushing it in first and then releasing it.
WARNING:
o Use caution when using the drink holders. A spilled beverage that is very hot can injure you or your passengers. Spilled liquids candamage interior trim and electri- cal components.
o Do not place objects other than cups or cans in the drink holder.These objects can be thrown out in the event of a sudden stop or anaccident, possibly injuring the pas- sengers in the vehicle.

B460B03E-AAT OPERATING THE SUNROOF SYSTEMOpening or Closing the Sunroof

The sunroof can be electrically opened or closed with the ignition key in the "ON" position. The sunroof is moved to its fully open position by pushing andholding the "OPEN" button. Release the button when the sunroof reaches the desired position. To close, pressand hold the "CLOSE" button.

Listed below are the examples of proper switch settings. For loading conditionsother than those listed below, adjust the switch position so that the beam level may be the nearest as the condi-tion obtained according to the list. B470A02S-AAT SUNSHADE The sunshade can be opened and closed by sliding it forward or rearwardwhen the sunroof is closed. The sun- shade will be opened automatically when the sunroof is opened, but itmust be closed manually.

B460C02E-AAT Tilting the Sunroof
The sunroof can be tilted by pushing the "UP" button with the sunroof closed. Release the button when the sunroofreaches the desired position. To close the sunroof, press the "DOWN" but- ton. NOTE: After washing the car or after there is rain, be sure to wipe off any waterthat is on the sunroof before oper- ating it.
! CAUTION:
o Do not open the sunroof in se- verely cold temperature or when it is covered with ice or snow.
o Periodically remove any dirt that may have accumulated on theguide rails.
o Do not press any sunroof control button longer than necessary.Damage to the motor or systemcomponents could occur. B460C02EB460D03E-AAT Manual Operation of Sunroof If the sunroof does not operate electri- cally:
1. Remove the rectangular plastic inte-
rior light lenses in the front overhead console by using a flat blade screw- driver as shown. B460D02E
WARNING:
o Do not close a sunroof if anyone's hands, arms or body are between the sliding glass and the sunroofsash, as this could result in injury.
o Do not place your head or arms
out of the sunroof opening at anytime.

B490A03E-AAT Interior light The interior courtesy light has a switch of three positions. The three positions are:
oDR In the "DR" position, the interior cour-tesy light comes on when any door is opened regardless of the ignition key position. The light goes out when thedoor is closed. B490B01ENOTE: If your vehicle is equipped with the delay-out interior light, the light goes out gradually within 6 sec-onds after the door is closed.
oON In the "ON" position, the light stays on at all times.

SPECTACLE CASE
B491A02F-GAT (If installed) The spectacle case is located on the front overhead console. Push the end of the cover to open thespectacle case.
WARNING:
Do not open the spectacle case while the vehicle is moving. The rear view mirror of the vehicle canbe blocked by an open spectacle case. HXDOM241

o OFF In the "OFF" position, the light stays off at all times even though a door is open.!

B510A01S-AAT OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR Manual Type The outside rearview mirror on the driver's side is equipped with a remote control for your convenience. It is op-erated by the control lever in the bot- tom front corner of the window. Before driving away, always checkthat your mirrors are positioned so you can see behind you, both to the left and right sides, as well as directly behindyour vehicle. When using the mirror, always exercise caution when attempt- ing to judge the distance of vehiclesbehind or along side of you. B510A01E

The outside rearview mirrors can be adjusted to your preferred rear vision,both directly behind the vehicle, and to the rear of the left and right sides. The remote control outside rearviewmirror switch controls the adjustments for both right and left outside mirrors. To adjust the position of either mirror:
1. Move the selecting switch to the
right or left to activate the adjustable mechanism for the correspondingdoor mirror.
2. Adjust mirror angle by depressing
the appropriate directional switchas illustrated.
NOTE: If the mirror control is jammed with ice, do not attempt to break it free using the control handle or by ma-nipulating the face of the mirror. Use an approved spray de-icer (not radiator antifreeze) to release thefrozen mechanism or move the ve- hicle to warm place and allow the ice to melt. B510B01Y-AAT Electric Type (If installed)

B510C01A-AAT FOLDING THE OUTSIDE REAR- VIEW MIRRORS To fold the outside rearview mirrors, push them towards the rear.The outside rearview mirrors can be folded rearward for parking in narrow areas.
WARNING:
Do not adjust or fold the outsiderearview mirrors while the vehicle is moving. This could result in loss of control, and an accident whichcould cause death, serious injury or property damage. B510E01EB510D01Y-AAT OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR HEATER (If installed) The outside rearview mirror heater is actuated in connection with the rear window defroster. To heat the outsiderearview mirror glass, push in the switch for the rear window defroster. The rearview mirror glass will be heated fordefrosting or defogging and will give you improved rear vision in inclement weather conditions. Push the switchagain to turn the heater off. The out- side rearview mirror heater automati- cally turns itself off after 15 minutes.
