1 CHECK DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
Check voltage between smart entrance control unit terminals 28, 29 or 40 and ground.

OK or NG
OK©Door switch is OK.
NG©GO TO 2.
2 CHECK DOOR SWITCH
1. Disconnect door switch connector.
2. Check continuity between door switch terminals.

IDoor switch ground circuit (Front, back door) or door switch ground condition
IHarness for open or short between smart entrance control unit and door switch
NG©Replace door switch.

2 CHECK KEY SWITCH (INSERT)
Check continuity between terminals 1 and 2.

IHarness for open or short between key switch and fuse
IHarness for open or short between smart entrance control unit and key switch
NG©Replace key switch.

1. Disconnect smart entrance control unit connector.
2. Check continuity between control unit terminal 23 or 35 and ground.

2 CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH
1. Disconnect door lock/unlock switch connector.
2. Check continuity between each door lock/unlock switch terminals.

2 CHECK FRONT LH DOOR UNLOCK SENSOR
1. Disconnect front LH door unlock sensor connector.
2. Check continuity between door unlock sensor terminals.

IHarness for open or short between smart entrance control unit and door unlock sensor
NG©Replace door unlock sensor.

Check if hazard indicator flashes with hazard switch.
Does hazard indicator operate?

2 CHECK HAZARD REMINDER OPERATION
1. Disconnect smart entrance control unit connector.
2. Apply ground to control unit terminal 7.

3 CHECK MULTI-REMOTE CONTROL RELAY
Check multi-remote control relay.

Check if the interior room lamp switch is in the ªONº position and the lamp illuminates.
Does interior room lamp illuminate?

No©Check the following.
IHarness for open or short between smart entrance control unit and interior room lamp
IInterior room lamp
2 CHECK INTERIOR ROOM LAMP CIRCUIT
When interior room lamp switch is ªDOORº position, check voltage across smart entrance control unit terminal 8 and
ground.

OK or NG
OK©GO TO 3.
NG©Repair harness between smart entrance control unit and interior room lamp.
3 CHECK CONTROL UNIT OUTPUT
Push unlock button of remote controller with key removed and all doors closed, and check voltage across smart entrance
control unit terminal 8 and ground.

OK©Check system again.
NG©Replace smart entrance control unit.
