There are two ways to increase the set speed. The set speed increases by 1 km/h every timeyou push up the “RES +” switch while theACC control is working. If you hold theswitch pushed up, the set speed increases in 5km/h increments.
When the accelerator pedal is depressedwhile driving with the ACC control working, you can accelerate the vehicle temporarilybeyond the presently set speed. At the point where the vehicle speed is raisedto your desired speed, push down and releasethe “SET -” switch; the new speed is then setin the system.

The FCM uses a sensor (A) to determine thedistance to a vehicle in front in the same laneand its speed relative to your vehicle’s speed. If the system judges that your vehicle is indanger of colliding against the vehicle almoststraight from behind, it gives you visual andaudible alarms (Forward collision warningfunction), increases the brake fluid pressure(FCM brake prefill function), and also pro-vides braking force assistance when you
depress the brake pedal (FCM brake assistfunction) to avoid frontal collision. When the risk of collision increases more, thesystem causes the brakes to work moderatelyto encourage you to apply brakes. If the sys-tem judges that a potential collision is immi-nent, it initiates emergency braking tomitigate collision-caused damages or to avoidpossible collision (FCM braking function).Stop lamps are illuminated during automaticbraking.
