ENGINE COOLING Radiator
Projection

REMOVAL SERVICE POINTS
RADIATOR UPPER LOWER
HOSE DISCONNECTION
After making mating marks on the hose and the hose
clamp, disconnect the radiator hose.
TRANSAXLE FLUID COOLER
FLUID COOLER HOSE AND PIPE
REMOVAL ,
After removing the hose from the radiator, plug the hose
and the radiator nipple to
dust or
from getting in.,
INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT
RADIATOR LOWER HOSE/RADIATOR UPPER HOSE CONNECTION
(1) each hose as the projection of the water
outlet fitting or water inlet fitting.
(2) Align the mating marks on the radiator hose and hose
clamp, and then connect the radiator hose.
INSPECTION
RADIATOR FAN MOTOR CHECK
(1)Check to be sure that the radiator fan rotates when battery,
voltage is applied between terminals (as shown the
figure).
(2) Check to see that abnormal noises are not
while motor is turning.

Place a mating mark on the and the clamp.
Then, disconnect the hose.
INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS
THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION
Install the thermostat so that the jiggle valve is
facing straight
up and is aligned with the mark on the thermostat c ase as
shown in the illustration.
Caution
Make absolutely sure that no oil is adhering to the rubber
ring of the thermostat. In addition, be careful not fold
over or scratch the rubber ring

CONNECTION
(1) Insert each hose as far as the of the water
outlet fitting or water inlet fitting.
(2) Align the mating marks on the radiator hose and hose
clamp, and then connect the radiator hose.

INSPECTION

Check that the valve closes ‘tightly-at temperature.
lCheck for defects or damage.
Check for rust or other
Remove, if any.
Immerse thermostat in container of Stir to raise
water temperature and check that the thermostat val ve
opening temperature and the water temperature with valve
fully open [valve lift: 8 mm
in.)] are at the standard value.
Standard value:
Valve opening temperature:

Full-opening temperature:

NOTE
Measure valve height when fully closed. Calculate l ift by mea-
suring the height when fully open.
Replace the thermostat if it does not open properly , or does
not have the correct valve lift.

I N S T A L L A T I O N S E R V I C E P O I N T
O-RING INSTALLATION
Insert the O-ring to the water inlet pipe, and coat the outer
of the O-ring with or coating Water
or engine coolant, the insertion to the water pump will become easier.
Caution
1.Do not allow engine other grease to to the
O-ring.
2.When inserting the pipe, check that is’ no dirt,
etc. on its inner surface.
