PocketYou can use the box as a pocket.
Open the sliding panels, and shut the air flow by
pushing the air flow control knob
1. Put an
object in the box, then close the sliding panels.
Do not put any objects that can melt in
the pocket. An object may damage the
vehicle if it melts.
Do not leave any plastic objects. They
may be deformed.
Do not put in jewelry such as rings,
earrings and so on, because they maybe deformed by heat.
CUP HOLDERS
WARNING
The cup holder should not be used while
driving so full attention may be given to
vehicle operation.

when the cup holder is being used to
prevent spilling the drink. If the liquid
is hot, it can scald you or your pas-
senger.
Use only soft cups in the cup holder.
Hard objects can injure you in an
accident.
FrontWhile the air conditioner is cooling the air, drinks
can be kept cold.
Open the cover and put a drink in it.

When a high temperature is set or the air
conditioner is warming the air, the cooling
function will not work even if the knobis

The temperature of the inside of the holder is
the same as that of the air blowing from the
air conditioner. The drink cannot be cooler
than the temperature set by air conditioner.The cap of a plastic beverage bottle can be
put beside the holder.
RearPull out the cover to use the cup holders.
Push them in when they are not being used.
CAUTION
Store them when they are not used.
Be careful not to stumble or not to
hook anything while they are being
used. An unexpected accident may
occur.

Make sure the luggage floor board
closes securely.Do not drive with the luggage floor
board removed.
Do not load heavy luggage when the
spare tire is removed. It may cause
damage to the luggage floor board.
To open the luggage floor board, push in the
front edge, then pull up the lever.

WARNING
Always make sure that the luggage is
properly secured. Use the suitableropes and hooks.
Unsecured luggage can become dan-
gerous in an accident or sudden stop.
CARGO NETThe cargo net helps keep packages in the cargo
area from moving around while your vehicle is
driven.
To install the cargo net, attach the hooks to the
retainers.
To remove the cargo net, detach the hooks from
the cargo net retainers.

CAUTION
Do not put any baggage on the
stretched net in the luggage room while
your vehicle is driven. When brakes are
applied, the baggage may jump out to
the front or fall from the net, and it may
lead to an unexpected accident. When
you put your baggage on the net, wrap
the baggage with a net and fix the bag-
gage.
WARNING
Properly secure all cargo to help pre-
vent it from sliding or shifting.
Be sure to secure hooks into the
retainers. The cargo restrained in the
net must not exceed 10 kg (22 lb) or
the net may not stay secured.
TONNEAU COVER (if so equipped)The tonneau cover keeps the luggage compart-
ment contents hidden from the outside.
To use the tonneau cover, pull it out and hang
both sides on the hooks

To use the subcover, pull it out and hang both
sides on the hooks

behind the rear seat.
To stow the tonneau cover and the subcover,
remove them from the hooks and hold until they
are retracted.
WARNING
Never put anything on the tonneau
cover, no matter how small. Any ob-
ject on it could cause an injury in an
accident or sudden stop.
Close the tonneau and sub covers
when folding the rear seat.
Do not leave the tonneau cover in the
vehicle with it disengaged from the
holder.
Properly secure all cargo to help pre-
vent it from sliding or shifting. Do not
place cargo higher than the seat-
backs. In a sudden stop or collision,
unsecured cargo could cause per-
sonal injury.
The top tether strap may be damaged
by contact with the tonneau cover or
items in the cargo area. Remove the
tonneau cover from the vehicle or
secure it and any cargo. Your child
could be seriously injured or killed in
a collision if the top tether strap is

damaged.Luggage can be carried on the roof by securing
crossbars to the roof rails. Follow all crossbar
manufacturers instructions for installing and use
of the crossbars. The roof rails are designed to
carry loads (luggage plus crossbars) below 100
kg (221 lb). Overloading may cause damage to
the vehicle.
CAUTION
Do not put or hang anything on or
around side pipes or plastic covers.

POWER WINDOWS
WARNING
Make sure that all passengers have
their hands, etc. inside the vehicle
while it is in motion and before clos-
ing the windows. Use the window
lock switch to prevent unexpected
use of the power windows.
Do not leave children unattended in-
side the vehicle. They could unknow-
ingly activate switches or controls
and become trapped in a window.
Unattended children could become
involved in serious accidents.
The power windows operate when the ignition
key is in the ON position.
Main power window switch (driver’s

To open or close the window, push down or pull
up the switch and hold it. The main switch (driver
side switches) will open or close all the win-
dows.

driver side window can be opened or closed.
Push it in again to cancel.

Passenger side power window switchThe passenger side switch will open or close
only the corresponding window. To open or
close the window, hold the switch down or up.
Automatic operation (For driver’s
window)To fully open or close the driver’s window,
completely push down or pull up the switch and
release it; it need not be held. The window will
automatically open or close all the way. To stop
the window, just press or lift the switch on the
opposite side.Auto reverse functionIf the control unit detects something caught in
the driver’s window as it moves up, the window
will be immediately lowered.The auto reverse function can be activated when
the driver’s window is closed by automatic op-
eration when the ignition key is in the ON
position.
Depending on the environment or driving
conditions, the auto reverse function may
be activated if an impact or load similar to
something being caught in the window
occurs.
WARNING
There are some small distances imme-
diately before the closed position which
cannot be detected. Make sure that all
passengers have their hands, etc., in-
side the vehicle before closing the win-
dow.
