To adjust the position of either mirror:
1. Move the selecting switch to the "L"
(or "R") position to activate the ad- justable mechanism for the adjust- ing door mirror.
2. Now, adjust mirror angle by depress-
ing the appropriate perimeter switchas illustrated.

B510C01A-EAT OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR HEATER (Not all models) The outside rearview mirror heater is actuated in connection with the rear window defroster. To heat the outsiderearview mirror glass, push in the switch for the rear window defroster. The rear- view mirror glass will be heated fordefrosting or defogging and will give you improved rear vision in inclement weather conditions. Push the switchagain to turn the heater off. The outside rearview mirror heater automatically turns itself off after 20 minutes.
CAUTION:
o Do not leave the switch on for an unnecessary length of time.
o Scraping ice from the mirror face could cause permanent damage.To remove any ice, use a sponge,soft cloth or approved deicer.
o Be careful when judging the size
or distance of any object seen inthe passenger side rear view mir- ror. It is a convex mirror with a curved surface, any objects seenin this mirror are closer than they appear.

B510C01A-EAT FOLDING THE OUTSIDE REAR- VIEW MIRRORS To fold the outside rearview mirrors, push them towards the rear. The outside rearview mirrors can befolded rearward for parking in restricted areas.WARNING:

In addition to the lower-mounted rear stoplights on either side of the car, the high mounted rear stoplight in the cen-tre of the rear window or inserted in the rear spoiler also lights when the brakes are applied. HLC2124
PARKING BRAKE
The parking brake must always be set when the vehicle is to be left unat- tended. When the parking brake is ap- plied, and the ignition key is at the "ON"position, the parking brake warning light will be illuminated. Before driving the vehicle, the parking brake must be fullyreleased and the warning light extin- guished.
o To set the parking brake, apply the foot brake and pull the parking brake lever up.
o To release the parking brake, apply the foot brake and pull up the parkingbrake lever slightly. Depress thebutton and lower the lever.

SB370A1-E INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR The interior mirror is of the day/night type to enable the glare of headlightsfrom following vehicles to be eliminated during night time driving. The tab located at the bottom of themirror should be set to the position nearest the windscreen for normal day time driving, and flipped towards therear of the vehicle to eliminate glare during night time driving. To adjust the field of vision, the mirror may be movedby hand upon the mounting. NOTE: The mirror should always be ad- justed prior to setting the vehicle inmotion. HLC3024-D

BONNET RELEASE
CAUTION:
Make sure that the support rod has been released prior to closing the bonnet.!

1. Pull the release knob to unlatch the
bonnet. HLC2017-D

left and lift the bonnet.
3. Hold the bonnet open with the sup- port rod.
Before closing the bonnet, return the support rod to its clip to prevent it from rattling. Lower the bonnet until it isabout 1 ft. (30 cm) above the closed position and let it drop. Make sure that it locks into place.
!WARNING:
o Always double check to be sure that the bonnet is firmly latched before driving away. If it is notlatched, the bonnet could fly open whilst the vehicle is being driven, causing a total loss of visibility,which might result in an accident.
o The support rod must be inserted
completely into the hole providedin the bonnet whenever you in- spect the engine compartment. This will prevent the bonnet fromfalling and possibly injuring you.
o Do not move the vehicle with the
bonnet in the raised position, asvision is obstructed and the bon- net could fall or be damaged.

REMOTE FUEL FILLER FLAP RELEASE
!WARNING:
Fuel vapours are dangerous. Before refuelling, turn off the engine and never allow sparks, lit cigarettes or open flames near the filler area. Whenreleasing the filler cap, a small amount of residual pressure may generate a slight hissing sound which
is not indicative of an abnormality. In the event of the fuel filler cap requir- ing replacement, only a GenuineHyundai replacement part should be used to prevent fuel leakage.

The fuel filler flap may be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling up on the fuel filler flap release. NOTE: If the fuel filler flap will not open because ice has formed around it, tap lightly or push on it to break the ice and release it. Do not lever theflap. If necessary, spray around the flap with an approved deicer fluid (do not use radiator anti-freeze) ormove the vehicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt. HLC2016

The boot lid or the hatchback door is opened by pulling the lever to releasethe lock, then raising the lid or the door manually. To close, lower the boot lid or thehatchback door, then press down on it until it locks. To be sure the boot lid or the hatchback door is securely fas-tened, always try to pull it up again.
WARNING:

opened by first turning the key clock- wise to release the lock, then raising the door manually.
o To close, lower the boot lid or the hatchback door , then press down onit until it locks. To be sure the boot lid or the hatchback door is securelyfastened, always try to pull it up again.

1. Push the lever downward to unlock.
2. Raise or lower the steering wheel to the desired position.
3. After adjustment, securely tighten
the lever by pulling it upward.

SUN VISOR

Your Hyundai is equipped with sun visors to give the driver and front pas-senger either frontal or sideward shade. The sun visors are fitted on both sides on all models. To reduce glare or toshut out direct rays of the sun, turn the sun visor down to block the annoy- ance. A ticket holder is provided on theback of the sun visor for the driver. Vanity mirrors are provided on the back of the sun visor for the driver andthe front passenger (Not all models). NOTE: The Supplemental Restraint Sys- tem (SRS) label containing useful information can be found on thefront of each sun visor.
WARNING:
Do not place the sun visor in such a manner that it obscures visibility of the roadway, traffic or other ob-jects.

B710C01HP-EAT Side Ventilator The side ventilators are located on each side of dashboard. To change thedirection of the air flow, move the knob in the centre of the vent up-and-down and side-to-side. The side vent knobscontrol the amount of outside air enter- ing the vehicle through the side vents. The vents are opened when the ventknob is moved to " " position. The vents are closed when the vent knob is moved to " ". Keep these vents clearof any obstructions.
