B460B02E-AAT OPERATING THE SUNROOF SYSTEMOpening or Closing the Sunroof
HFC2021
The sunroof can be only electrically opened or closed. To open or to close, press and hold the button located inthe front overhead console. Release the button when the sunroof reaches the desired position.
SUNROOF
B470A02S-AAT SUNSHADE The sunshade can be opened and closed by sliding it forward or rearward when the sunroof is closed. The sun- shade will be open automatically whenthe sunroof is opened, but it must be closed manually.
B460A01S-AAT (If installed) The sunroof can be operated with the ignition key in the "ON" position
B470A01FCREAR SEAT ARM REST
B611A02FC-AAT (If Installed) The rear seat arm rest is located in the center of the rear seat back with a storage box. The drink holder in the box can be usedby opening the lid of the arm rest. B610A01FC
WARNING:
o Do not place objects other than cups or cans on the drink holder. Such objects can be thrown out in the event of a sudden stop oran accident, possibly injuring the passengers in the vehicle.
o Be careful not to injure your fin-
gers when you open the lid of thearm rest.

Never adjust the sunshade while driving.

If the sunroof does not electrically op- erate:
1. Remove the rectangular plastic in- terior light lens in the front overhead console. HFC1036B460C02S-AAT Tilting the Sunroof The sunroof can be tilted by pushing the "UP" button with the sunroof closed. Release the button when the sunroof reaches the desired position. To closethe sunroof, press the "DOWN" but- ton. NOTE: After washing the car or after there is rain, be sure to wipe off any water that is on the sunroof before oper-ating it. HFC2022

WARNING:
o Do not close a sunroof if anyone's hands, arms or body are between the sliding glass and the sunroof sash, as this could result in aninjury.
o Do not place your head or arms
out of the sunroof opening at anytime.
CAUTION:
o Do not open the sunroof in se- verely cold temperature or whenit is covered with ice or snow.
o Periodically remove any dirt that
may have accumulated on theguide rails.

B480A01E-AAT FRONT INTERIOR LIGHT Map Light The two map light switches are located on both sides of the front overhead console. Push in the map light switch to turn the light on or off. This lightproduces a spot beam for convenient use as a map light at night or as a personal light for the driver and thepassenger. With Sunroof

4. Turn the wrench clockwise to open or counterclockwise to close.
2. Turn the hexagonal bolts with a socket wrench counterclockwise to remove the front overhead console.
3. Insert the hexagonal head wrench provided with the vehicle into the socket. This wrench can be found inthe vehicle's luggage room or glove box. HFC1037

SPECTACLE CASE
B491A02F-GAT (If Installed) The spectacle case is located on the front overhead console. Push the end of the cover to open thespectacle case.
WARNING:
Do not open the spectacle casewhile the vehicle is moving. Therear view mirror of the vehicle may be blocked by an open spectacle case. HXDOM241
oON In the "ON" position, the light stays on at all times.
CAUTION:
Do not leave the switch in this posi-tion for an extended period time when the vehicle is not running.
o OFF In the "OFF" position, the light stays off at all times even though a door is open.

B490A02E-AAT Interior Light The interior courtesy light has a switch of three positions. The three positions are:
oDR In the "DR" position, the interior cour- tesy light comes on when any door isopened regardless of the ignition key position. The light goes out when the door is closed. HFC490

B500B02E-GAT The multi box may be opened by pull- ing it out by its grip.It is used for storing small articles. If the multi box is removed, the fuse box for the lights and other electricalaccessories will be exposed. HFC2058

CAUTION:
o Do not operate the switch con- tinuously for an unnecessary length of time.
o Scraping ice from the mirror face could cause permanent damage.To remove any ice, use a sponge, soft cloth or approved de-icer.
WARNING:
Be careful when judging the size ordistance of any object seen in thepassenger side rear view mirror. It is a convex mirror with a curved surface. Any objects seen in thismirror are closer than they appear.
To adjust the position of either mirror:
1. Move the selecting switch to the right or left to activate the adjustable mechanism for the correspondingdoor mirror.
2. Adjust mirror angle by depressing
the appropriate directional switchas illustrated.
B510D01EB510B01FC-GAT OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR Electric Type The outside rearview mirrors can be adjusted to your preferred rear vision, both directly behind the vehicle, and to the rear of the left and right sides.The remote control outside rearview mirror switch controls the adjustments for both right and left outside mirrors. The "night"position is selected by flipping the tab at the bottom of the mirror toward you. In the "night" position, the glare ofheadlights of cars behind you is re- duced. HXDFL2112

B510C01A-AAT FOLDING THE OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRRORS To fold the outside rearview mirrors, push them towards the rear. The outside rearview mirrors can befolded rearward for parking in narrow areas.
WARNING:
Do not adjust or fold the outside rearview mirrors while the vehicle is moving. This could result in loss of control, and an accident whichcould cause death, serious injury or property damage. B510C01FCB510D01HP-AAT OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR HEATER (If installed) The outside rearview mirror heater is actuated in connection with the rear window defroster. To heat the outside rearview mirror glass, pushin the switch for the rear window de- froster. The rearview mirror glass will be heated for defrosting or defoggingand will give you improved rear vision in inclement weather conditions. Push the switch again to turn the heater off.The outside rearview mirror heater automatically turns itself off after 20 minutes.

Do not place the sun visor in such a manner that it obscures visibility of the roadway, traffic or other ob- jects. NOTE: The Supplemental Restraint Sys- tem (SRS) label containing useful information can be found on theback of each sun visor.
B580A01L-GAT (If Installed) Your Hyundai is equipped with sun visors to give the driver and front pas- senger either frontal or sideward shade. The sun visors are fitted on both sideson all models. To reduce glare or to shut out direct rays of the sun, turn the sun visor down to block the annoy-ance. A vanity mirror is provided on the back of the sun visor for the driver and front passenger. 1. Pull the release knob to unlatch the hood. CAUTION:
Make sure that the support rod has been released prior to closing the hood.

3. Hold the hood open with the support
rod.
Before closing the hood, return the support rod to its clip to prevent it fromrattling. Lower the hood until it is about 30 cm (1 ft.) above the closed position and let it drop. Make sure that it locksinto place.

HIGH-MOUNTED REAR STOP LIGHT
B550A01S-GAT (If installed) In addition to the lower-mounted rear stop lights on either side of the car, the high mounted rear stop light in thecenter of the rear window or inserted in the rear spoiler also lights when the brakes are applied. B550A01FC

!WARNING:
Fuel vapors are dangerous. Before refueling, always stop the engineand never allow sparks or open flames near the filler area. If you need to replace the filler cap, use agenuine Hyundai replacement part. If you open the fuel filler cap during high ambient temperatures, a slight"pressure sound" may be heard. This is normal and not a cause for concern.Whenever you open the fuel filler

REMOTE FUEL-FILLER LID RELEASE
B560A02A-AAT The fuel-filler lid may be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling up on the fuel-filler lid opener located on the frontfloor area on the left side of the car. NOTE: If the fuel-filler lid will not open because ice has formed around it, tap lightly or push on the lid to break the ice and release the lid. Donot pry on the lid. If necessary, spray around the lid with an ap- proved de-icer fluid (do not useradiator anti-freeze) or move the vehicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt. HFC2015
!WARNING:
o Always double check to be sure that the hood is firmly latched before driving away. If it is notlatched, the hood could open while the vehicle is being driven, causing a total loss of visibility,which might result in an acci- dent.
o The support rod must be inserted completely into the hole providedin the hood whenever you in- spect the engine compartment.This will prevent the hood from falling and possibly injuring you.
o Do not move the vehicle with the hood in the raised position, asvision is obstructed and the hood could fall or be damaged.
