FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG DEACTIVATED (where fitted)
Dial warning light comes on when front passenger air bag is
deactivated. With front passenger air bag on, turning the ignition key
to MAR, warning light
Fcomes on flashing on the cluster for about
4 seconds, then it shall go off.

SEAT BELTS NOT FASTENED
The warning light will come on flashing, together with the warning
buzzer when, with the car moving, the driver's seat belt is not
correctly fastened. The S.B.R. (Seat Belt Reminder) buzzer can only
be excluded by Lancia Dealership, the system can be reactivated
through the set-up menu (see diagram aside).

at idle speed a brief delay in going out is allowed).

Turning the key to MAR the warning light on the dial turns on, but it
should go off as soon as the engine is started.
If the vwarning light turns on when the car is travelling (on certain versions together with the
message on the display), stop the engine immediately and contact a Lancia Dealership.

ENGINE COOLANT FLUID HIGH TEMPERATURE
Turning the ignition key to MAR the warning light on the dial turns
on, but it should go off after few seconds.
The warning light turns on (together with the message on the display)
when the engine is overheated. If the warning light comes on when
driving, proceed as follows:
❒normal driving conditions: stop the car, switch off the engine and
check whether the water level in the reservoir is not below the MIN
mark. Otherwise wait for few seconds to allow engine cooling, then
open slowly and carefully the cap, top up coolant and check
whether its level is falling between MIN and MAX marks in the
reservoir. Check visually any leak. If when restarting the warning
light comes on again, contact a Lancia Dealership;

GLOW PLUGS (Multijet versions)
Turning the ignition key to MAR, the warning light on the dial comes
on and goes off when glow plugs reach the preset temperature. Start
the engine immediately after warning light switching off.
IMPORTANT With high ambient temperature, warning light stays on
for very short time. amber

ASR - Wheel Antiskid System (amber)
Messages are displayed when the ASR function is
activated/deactivated manually.
ASR system switching off is indicated by the switching on of the ASR
button led.
BRAKE PAD WEAR (where provided)
The warning light on the dial turns on if the front brake pads are
worn; in this case have them changed as soon as possible.
On certain versions the dedicated message is displayed.

CAR PROTECTION SYSTEM FAILURE - LANCIA CODE
Turning the key to MAR the warning light on the dial shall flash only
once and then go off. If with the ignition key at MAR the warning
light comes on with fixed light (together with the message on the
display), this indicates a possible failure (see “The Lancia Code
system” in section “Dashboard and controls”).
IMPORTANT The turning on at the same time of the
UandYwarning lights indicates a failure of the Lancia CODE system.
If with the engine running the failure message is displayed, contact
Lancia Dealership.
If with the engine running the
Ywarning light flashes, this means
that the car is not protected by the engine inhibitor device (see “The
Lancia Code system” in section “Dashboard and controls”). Contact
Lancia Dealership to have all the keys memorised.

“DUALDRIVE” ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILURE
(where provided)
Turning the ignition key to MAR the warning light on the dial turns
on, but it should go off after few seconds.
If the warning light stays on (together with the message on the
display), you will not have steering assistance and the effort on the
steering wheel will be increased, steering is however possible. Contact
Lancia Dealership.
DIESEL FUEL FILTER SENSOR FAILURE
The warning light on the dial comes on (together with the message on
the display) when diesel fuel filter sensor failure is detected. Contact
Lancia Dealership as soon as possible to have the fault removed.
GLOW PLUG WARMING FAILURE (Multijet versions)
The warning light on the instrument panel flashes for about 30
seconds after starting the engine (together with the message on the
display) when there is a failure in the glow plug warming system.
Contact Lancia Dealership to have the fault eliminated.

ABS SYSTEM FAILURE - System unavailable
Turning the ignition key to MAR the warning light on the dial turns
on, but it should go off after few seconds.
The warning light turns on (together with the message on the display)
when the system is inefficient or unavailable.
In this case the braking system keeps its effectiveness unchanged, but
without the potential offered by the ABS system. Drive carefully and
contact Lancia Dealership as soon as possible.
RAIN SENSOR FAILURE
The warning light on the dial turns on (together with the message on
the display) when the rain sensor is faulty. Contact Lancia
Dealership.

bags or pretensioners could not trigger in the event of an accident, or in a

EOBD - ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM FAILURE (petrol versions)
In normal conditions, turning the ignition key to MAR, the warning
light turns on, but it should go off when the engine has started.
The initial turning on indicates that the warning light is working
properly.
If the warning light stays on or turns on when travelling
(together with the message on the display):
❒glowing steadily- means a fault in the supply/ignition system
which could cause high emissions at the exhaust, possible lack of
performance, poor handling and high consumption levels.
In these conditions it is possible to continue driving without however
requiring heavy effort or high speed from the engine. Prolonged use of
the car with the warning light on may cause damages. Contact Lancia
Dealership as soon as possible.
The warning light goes off if the fault disappears, but it is still stored
by the system.

If the light flashes, it is necessary to release the accelerator pedal to
lower the speed of the engine until the warning light stops flashing;
continue the journey at moderate speed, trying to avoid driving
conditions that may cause further flashing and contact Lancia

fic agents by proper equipment therefore, comply with laws and regulations in force in the country
where you are driving.
GENERIC FAILURE INDICATION
The warning light on the dial comes on when the engine oil pressure
sensor is faulty and, for Multijet versions with modal instrument
panel, also when a failure is detected in diesel fuel sensor. Contact
Lancia Dealership as soon as possible.
