7.REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER SUB-ASSY LH
a. Disconnect the parking brake cable assy No.3 from the parking brake shoe lever.

8.REMOVE OXYGEN SENSOR (SEE REPLACEMENT
)
9.REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT
)
10.REMOVE FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR NO.1 (SEE REPLACEMENT
)
11.REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.3
a. Remove the 2 nuts and parking brake cable assy No.3 from the rear axle carrier.

b. Remove the 3 bolts and separate the parking brake cable assy No.3.
c. Remove the parking brake cable No.3 from the parking brake intermediate lever sub-assy.
d. Remove the 2 bolts and parking brake cable No.1 clamp from the body.
e. Remove the parking brake cable No.2 clamp and No.3 clamp from the parking brake cable assy
No.3.
f. Remove the parkin
g brake cable No.5 clamp and anchor block.

12.INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.3
a. Install the parking brake cable No.5 clamp and anchor block.
b. Install the parking brake cable No.2 clamp and No.3 clamp to the parking brake cable assy No.3.
c. Place the parking brake cable No.1 clamp to the body and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque: 6 N.m (61 kgf.cm, 53 in.lbf)
d. Attach the parking brake cable assy No.3 to the parking brake intermediate lever sub-assy.
e. Attach the parking brake cable assy No.3 to the 2 clamps and tighten bolts A, B and C.
Torque:
Bolt A: 6 N.m (61 kgf.cm, 53 in.lbf)
Bolt B, C: 19 N.m (194 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)
f. Install parking brake cable assy No.3 to the rear axle carrier with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 8 N.m (81 kgf.cm, 70 in.lbf)

13.INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER SUB-ASSY LH
a. Apply high temperature grease to the parking brake shoe lever LH.
b. Install parking brake shoe lever to the parking brake cable assy No.3.

a. Apply high temperature grease to the parking brake shoe lever LH.

a. Install the parkin
g brake shoe assy LH No.1 with a pin, shoe hold-down spring and the cap.

d.INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSY LH NO.2
a. Apply high temperature grease to the shoe adjuster.
b. Place the parking brake shoe assy LH No.2 and shoe adjuster.
c. Connect the tension spring.
d. Install the pin, shoe hol
d-down spring and the cap.

e.INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING
a. Using SST, install the brake shoe return tension spring.

f.CHECK PARKING BRAKE INSTALLATION
a. Make sure that all the parts are installed properly
If not, reinstall the parts properly.
