NAVI CONTORL UNIT Map data can be read from the map DVD-ROM by installing map DVD-ROM.
 It is the master unit of the MULTI AV system, and it is connected to each control
unit by means of communication. It operates each system according to com-
munication signals from the NAVI control unit.
 The NAVI control unit includes the audio, hands-free phone, navigation, and
vehicle information functions.
 It is connected to ECM and combination meter via CAN communication to ob-
tain necessary information for the vehicle information function.
 It inputs the illumination signals that are required for the display dimming con-
trol.
 It inputs the signals for driving status recognition (vehicle speed, reverse and
parking brake).

1.CHECK CONTINUITY RGB (B: BLUE) SIGNAL CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect display unit connector and NAVI control unit connector.
3. Check continuity between display unit harness connector terminal 5 and NAVI control unit harness con-
nector terminal 46.
4. Check continuity between display unit harness connector terminal 5 and ground.
Is inspection result OK?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> Repair harness or connector.
2.CHECK RGB (B: BLUE) SIGNAL
1. Connect display unit connector and NAVI control unit connector.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Start “Confirmation / Adjustment Mode”, and then display color bar by selecting“Color Spectrum Bar” on
DISPLAY DIAGNOSIS screen.
4. Check signal between display unit harness connector terminal 5 and 8.
Is inspection result OK?
YES >> Replace display unit.
NO >> Replace NAVI control unit.5 - 46 : Continuity should exist.

MULTI AV SYSTEM SYMPTOMS
 Check that the cellular phone is corresponding type (Bluetooth® enabled) when the hands free related mal-
function vehicle is in service before performing a diagnosis.
 There is a case that malfunction occurs due to the version change of the phone type, etc. even though it is a
corresponding type. Therefore, confirm it by changing the cellular phone to another corresponding type
phone, and check that it operates normally. It is necessary to distinguish whether the cause is the vehicle or
cellular phone. Check to ensure the customers phone is supported by checking the phone compatibility for
the hands free system.

Removal
1. Remove over-head console assembly, roof finisher. Refer to INL-25, "Removal and Installation".
2. Remove the Bluetooth microphone Screw (A), then release the
Bluetooth microphone tabs and remove the Bluetooth micro-
phone (1).
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Removal
CAUTION:
To avoid damage, eject map DVD-ROM before removing the NAVI control unit.
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the front seat RH. Refer to SE-14, "
Removal and Installation".
3. Remove the NAVI control unit kick shield clips (A), then remove
the NAVI control unit kick shield (1).
4. Disconnect the NAVI control unit connectors (A) and the Blue-
tooth connector (B).
5. Remove the NAVI control unit bolts (C), then remove the NAVI
control unit (1).
6. Remove the NAVI control unit bracket screws and remove the
NAVI control unit brackets.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
