IGNITION KNOB SWITCH
>> INSPECTION END

1.CHECK IGNITION KNOB SWITCH
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check continuity between key switch and ignition knob switch
terminals under the following conditions.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> INSPECTION END.
NO >> Replace key switch and ignition knob switch.

With CONSULT-III
Check door request switch “DR REQ SW” in “Data Monitor” mode.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Door request switch is OK.
NO >> Refer to DLK-83, "

1.CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY UNIT INPUT SIGNAL
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check voltage between Intelligent Key unit harness connector
and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 6.
NO >> GO TO 2.
2.CHECK FRONT DOOR REQUEST SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect Intelligent Key unit and driver door request switch.

DOOR REQUEST SWITCH
2. Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit connector (A) M52
terminal 5 and front door request switch (driver side) connector
(B) D5 terminal 1.
3. Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit connector (A) M52
terminal 5 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3.
NO >> Repair or replace harness between Intelligent Key unit and front door request switch (driver side).
3.CHECK DOOR REQUEST SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between front door request switch (driver side) con-
nector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4.
NO >> Repair or replace front door request switch (driver side) ground circuit.
4.CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY UNIT OUTPUT SIGNAL
1. Connect Intelligent Key unit connector.
2. Check voltage between Intelligent Key unit connector and
ground.

2.CHECK DOOR REQUEST SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect Intelligent Key unit and passenger door request switch.
2. Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit connector (A) M52
terminal 25 and front door request switch (passenger side) con-
nector (B) D103 terminal 1.
3. Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit connector (A) M52
terminal 25 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3.
NO >> Repair or replace harness between Intelligent Key unit and front door request switch (passenger
side).

3. Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit connector (A) M52
terminal 29 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3.
NO >> Repair or replace harness between Intelligent Key unit and back door request switch.
3.CHECK DOOR REQUEST SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between back door request switch connector and
ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4.
NO >> Repair or replace back door request switch ground cir-
cuit.
4.CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY UNIT OUTPUT SIGNAL
1. Connect Intelligent Key unit connector.
2. Check voltage between Intelligent Key unit connector and
ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 5.
NO >> GO TO 6.
5.CHECK DOOR REQUEST SWITCH
Check door request switch.
Refer to DLK-90, "
BACK DOOR : Component Inspection".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 6.
NO >> Replace back door request switch. Refer to XX-XX, "*****"
