SEAT BELTS115
- Make all seat belt adjustments when the vehicle is stationary.
- Do not allow the seat belt to rest on any hard or breakable objectsin your pockets.
- Do not use any type of clip or clamp which would prevent the seat belt from tensioning correctly.
- Never use the same seat belt for more than one occupant.
- Never carry a child on your lap.
- Check the seat belts and attachments regularly for cleanliness.
- Have the seat belts checked periodically by your dealer, especially after an accident (even if only minor).
To put on the seat belts: Grip the buckle and withdraw the seat belt smoothly across yourbody making sure that it is not twis-ted. Insert the buckle tongue into itsfixed section of the buckle and pushhome to lock. Pull to check that issecurely located. The lap strap must be positioned as low as possible across the pelvisand should be as tight as possible. The backrest of the seat should be as close to vertical as possible toavoid any risk of slipping beneaththe belt in an impact.

SEAT BELTS FRONT The front seats of your vehicle are fitted with height adjustable inertiareel seat belts and pretensionerand grabbing devices.
Two of the three rear seat belts are of the inertia reel type. The wearing of seat belts is obli- gatory for all the occupants ofthe vehicle.
To offer the maximum degree of protection, it is essential that the
seat belt is worn correctly.
Adjusting the height of theupper seat belt anchorage The shoulder strap must be positio- ned across the centre of the shoul-der (see diagram). Never allow theseat belt to run across the neck norunder the arm.

Air intake Keep the air intake grille in front of the windscreen clear
of dead leaves, snow, etc. If a high pressure wash be used, avoid directing the jet of water at the air intake. Air vents The air vents have thumb-wheels to control and direct the
airflow (high-low, left-right). Air circulation Optimum comfort depends on the even distribution of the air in the passenger compartment, both at the front and
at the rear. Air vents in the floor beneath the front seats provide
improved heating to the rear seating area. These ventsmust not be obstructed.

1 - Air distribution control Air flow from the front vents. Air flow to the footwells and rear seats. Air flow to the footwells and windscreen and side windows. Distribution of air to the windscreen and the side windows.Demisting Ð De-icing.
2 - Isolation of passenger compartment* Intake of outside air. Optimum position for demisting.
Recycled interior air. This position prevents the entry of unpleasant odours into the vehicle. It is recommended that the control not be
left in the recycling position for longer than necessary. The normal position will provide a continuous fresh airsupply to the passenger compartment and will avoid misting of the windows.
3 - Heater blower control slider. For optimum comfort inside the passenger compartment, this control should not be left in the minimum position.

Air conditioning
The air conditioning system will only operate with the engine running. Press the switch Aon the dashboard.
A warning lamp confirms that the system is switched on.
For the air conditioning to be fully effective, the windows should be closed. The system contains a non-polluting CFC sub- stitute. If after a prolonged stop in direct sunlight the inside of the car is hot, leave the windows openfor a few minutes to provide a rapid air change,then close them.
Air recycling
To obtain the most effective cooling in the pas-senger compartment in very hot conditions,select the recycling position. Set control Bto the left, and place the heater
blower control Din the mid-way position.
It is recommended that the control not be left in the recycling position for longer than necessa-
ry. The normal position will provide a conti-nuous fresh air supply to the passenger com-partment. Rapid demisting Switch on the air conditioning.Set the control to the fresh air position and air flow to
maximum.Select the demisting position using control C.
Set the temperature control to maximum. Note: A normal consequence of having the air conditioning turned
on is that water condenses on the surface of the air conditioner. This drains out through a specially provided hole and may form apuddle under the car when parked.
To maintain effective operation of the compressor seals, ope- rate the air conditioning at least once a month. The air conditioning is useful even in winteras it can be used to
remove moisture from the air.

Sun visors Fold visors down to avoid dazzle
from ahead. They can be disenga-ged from their central fixing andpivoted over to the side windows ifrequired.

ticket holder.

To open the glove box, push the release towards the left.

Ensure that children are kept away from the cigar lighter whichoperates even when the ignition is off.
Front ashtray:
lift the lid and release it. It folds away automatically.
To close the ashtray , lift the lid by its right hand corner and then release.
To empty, press down the right hand corner of the open lid and then lift the
ashtray.
To refit Locate the ashtray and push fully home. Cigar lighter
Push in and wait a few moments. The cigar lighter will release automatically.
