Malfunction
In the event of a fault with the system, you
are alerted by the continuous illumination
of this warning lamp, accompanied by the
display of a message and an audible signal.
If these warning lamps come on after
the engine has been switched off
and restarted, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop to
have the system checked.
Active Lane Departure
Warning System
Using a camera located at the top of the
windscreen to identify lane markings on the
ground and the edges of the road (depending
on version), the system corrects the trajectory
of the vehicle while alerting the driver if it
detects a risk of involuntarily crossing a line or
hard shoulder (depending on version).
This system is particularly useful on motor ways
and expressways.
Conditions for operation
The speed of the vehicle must be between 40
and 112 mph (65 and 180 km/h).
The driver must hold the wheel with both hands.
The change of trajectory must not be
accompanied by operation of the direction
indicators.
The ASR /DSC systems must be activated and
not faulty.
This system is a driving aid which cannot,
in any circumstances, replace the need
for vigilance on the part of the driver. The
driver must remain in control of the vehicle
in all circumstances.
The system helps the driver only when
there is a risk of the vehicle involuntarily
wandering from the lane in which it is
being driven. It does not manage the safe
driving distance, the speed of the vehicle
or the brakes.
The driver must hold the steering wheel
with both hands in a way that allows
control to be maintained in circumstances
where the system is not able to inter vene
(if lane markings disappear, for example).
It is necessary to obser ve the highway
code and take a break every two hours.
Operation
Once the system identifies a risk of the vehicle
involuntarily crossing one of the lane markings
detected or a lane limit (e.g. grass border),
it makes the correction to the trajectory
necessary to return the vehicle to its initial path.
The driver will notice a turning movement of the
steering wheel.
This warning lamp flashes during
trajectory correction.
The driver can prevent the correction by
keeping a firm grip on the wheel (during
an avoiding manoeuvre, for example).
The correction is interrupted if the
direction indicators are operated.
If the system detects that the driver is not
holding the wheel firmly enough during
an automatic correction of trajectory,
it interrupts the correction. An alert is
triggered to encourage the driver to take
back control of the vehicle.

The system is activated every time the ignition
is switched on.
Driving situations and
associated alerts
The table below describes the alerts and
messages displayed depending on the driving
situation.
The display of these alerts is not sequential.
While the direction indicators are on and for
a few seconds after switching them off, the
system considers that any change of trajectory
is voluntary and no correction is triggered
during this period.

A warning lamp appears in the door mirror on
the side in question:

ixed , immediately, when being overtaken,

lashing , after a delay of about one second,
when overtaking a vehicle slowly, and when
the direction indicator is used. This system is designed to improve safety
when driving and is in no circumstances
a substitute for the use of the interior rear
view mirror and door mirrors. It is the
driver's responsibility to constantly check
the traffic, to assess the distances and
relative speeds of other vehicles and to
predict their movements before deciding
whether to change lane.
The alert is given by a warning lamp which
comes on in the door mirror on the side in
question as soon as a vehicle – car, lorry,
bicycle – is detected and the following
conditions are fulfilled:

ll the vehicles must be moving in the same
direction and in adjacent lanes,
-
t
he speed of the vehicle must be between 7
and 87 mph (12 and 140 km/h),
-
y
ou overtake a vehicle with a speed
difference of less than 6 mph (10 km/h),

ehicle overtakes you with a speed
difference of less than 15 mph (25 km/h),

he traffic must be flowing normally,
-
i
n the case of an overtaking manoeuvre,
if this is prolonged and the vehicle being
overtaken returns to the blind spot,

curved road,

Blind Spot Detection
This driving assistance system warns the driver
of the presence of another vehicle in the blind
spot angle of his vehicle (areas masked from
the driver's field of vision), as soon as this
presents a potential danger. No alert will be given in the following situations:

n the presence of non-moving objects
(parked vehicles, barriers, street lamps,
road signs, etc.),
-

w
ith vehicles moving in the opposite
direction,
-

d
riving on a winding road or a sharp corner,

Activation/Deactivation
Activation or deactivation is set via
the vehicle configuration menu.
The system state remains in memory
when the ignition is switched off.
The system is automatically deactivated
when towing with a towbar approved by
P E U G E O T.
Malfunction
The system may suffer temporary
interference in certain weather conditions
(rain, hail, etc.).
In particular, driving on a wet sur face
or moving from a dry area to a wet area
can cause false alerts (for example, the
presence of a fog of water droplets in
the blind spot angle is interpreted as a
vehicle).
In bad or wintry weather, ensure that the
sensors are not covered by mud, ice or
snow.
Take care not to cover the warning zone in
the door mirrors or the detection zones on
the front and rear bumpers with adhesive
labels or other objects; they may hamper
correct operation of the system.

hen overtaking or being overtaken by a
very long vehicle (lorry, bus, etc.) which is
both in the rear blind spot and present in the
driver’s front field of vision,

n very heavy traffic: vehicles detected in
front and behind are confused with a lorry or
a stationary object,

hen overtaking quickly. If a fault occurs, this warning lamp
comes on in the instrument panel,
accompanied by a message.

After three first level alerts, the system triggers
a further alert with the message "Dangerous
driving: take a break ", accompanied by a
more pronounced audible signal.
In certain driving conditions (poor road
sur face or strong winds), the system may
give alerts irrespective of the driver's level
of vigilance.
The following situations may interfere with
the operation of the system or prevent it
from working:

The internal sur face of the windscreen can
also become misted around the camera.
In humid and cold weather, demist the
windscreen regularly.
Do not allow snow to accumulate on the
bonnet or roof of the vehicle as this could
obstruct the detection camera.
Parking sensors
This function is a manoeuvring aid which
cannot, in any circumstances, replace the
need for vigilance on the part of the driver.
The driver must remain attentive and stay
in control of their vehicle.
They must always check the vehicle’s
surroundings before undertaking a
manoeuvre.
During the entire manoeuvre, the driver
must ensure that the space remains clear.
Using sensors located in the bumper, this
function warns of the proximity of obstacles
(e.g. pedestrian, vehicle, tree, barrier) entering
their field of detection.
Rear parking sensors
The system is switched on by engaging reverse
g e a r.
This is confirmed by an audible signal.
The system is switched off when you come out
of reverse gear.
Audible assistance
The function signals the presence of obstacles
present both within the sensors’ detection
zone and in the vehicle path defined by the
orientation of the steering wheel.

The deactivation or activation
is carried out via the vehicle
configuration menu.
The state of the system stays in the memory
when the ignition is switched off. The rear parking sensors system will
be deactivated automatically if a trailer
or bicycle carrier is connected to a
towing device installed in line with the
manufacturer's recommendations.
In this case, the outline of a trailer is
displayed at the rear of the image of the
vehicle.
The parking sensors are deactivated while the
Park Assist system is measuring a space.
For more information on the Park Assist , refer
to the corresponding section.
Operating limits Maintenance

reverse, this warning lamp comes on
in the instrument panel, accompanied
by a message and an audible signal
(short beep).
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop to have the system checked.
Reversing camera
With the ignition on, this system uses a camera
located near the third brake lamp to display a
view of the rear of your vehicle on the output
screen (if it is a panel van or has a solid
partition).
The reversing camera is activated automatically
when reverse gear is engaged. The image is
displayed on the output screen. The output
screen switches off when the gearbox is in
neutral or in a for ward gear. The blue lines 1 represent the general direction
of the vehicle (the gap corresponds to the width
of your vehicle with the mirrors).
The red line 2 represents a distance of about
30
cm beyond the edge of your vehicle's rear
b u m p e r.
The green lines 3 represent distances of
about 1 and 2
metres beyond the edge of your
vehicle's rear bumper.
The turquoise blue curves 4 represent the
maximum turning circle.
The reversing camera is a driving aid which
cannot, in any circumstances, replace the
need for vigilance on the part of the driver.
Some objects may not be seen by the
camera. Certain vehicles may be difficult to see
(dark colours, headlamps off) when the
brightness of the screen is reduced by the
vehicle’s lighting dimmer.
The image quality may be affected by the
environment, the exterior conditions (rain,
dirt, dust), the driving mode, the lighting
conditions (night, low sun).
In the presence of areas in shade, or in
conditions of bright sunlight or inadequate
lighting, the image may be darkened and
with lower contrast.
Obstacles may appear further away than
they actually are in reality.
During parking manoeuvres and lane
changes, it is important to check the sides
of the vehicle using the mirrors.
The rear parking sensors also provide
information on the vehicle's surroundings.

The blue dimension lines 1 represent the width
of your vehicle with the mirrors unfolded.
The red line 2 represents a distance of 30 cm
from the rear bumper; the two green lines 3 and
4 represent 1
m and 2 m, respectively.
The blue cur ves 5 appear successively; they
are based on the position of the steering wheel
and represent the turning circle radius of your
vehicle.
The orange dashes 6 represent the opening
radii of the rear doors. - The
visual reversing aid : allows a view of
the area close to the rear of the vehicle. Some items may not be seen by the rear
camera.
Certain vehicles may be difficult to see
(dark colours, headlamps off) when the
brightness of the screen is reduced by the
