In the event of an accident or
impact under the vehicle or on
one of the charging flaps
In the event of an accident or an impact to the
underbody of the vehicle (for example: contact
with a pole, a raised kerb or other urban
roadside fixture) or in the event of an impact,
even slight, to one of the charging flaps, these
circumstances may have serious repercussions
for your vehicle's electrical system or traction
battery and cause damage to them. Have
your vehicle checked as soon as possible by a
franchised dealer or a qualified workshop.
Never touch the 300 Volt components or the
orange cables exposed and visible inside or
outside of the vehicle.
In the case of serious damage to the traction
battery:

o not try to do anything to the vehicle
yourself,
-

n
ever touch liquids coming from the traction
battery and in the event of skin contact with
these products, wash abundantly with water
and contact a doctor as soon as possible. In the event of exposure to a fire
In the event of exposure to a fire, you and
your passengers should exit the vehicle
immediately. Never intervene yourself (risk
of electrocution). Contact the emergency
ser vices immediately. Warn them that your
vehicle is electric.
Washing precautions
Never wash the vehicle while the battery is on
charge.
Before washing the vehicle, check that the
access flaps are closed and the cover on each
charging socket is correctly closed.
In order to avoid damaging the electric units,
the use of a high pressure jet wash is strictly
forbidden:

nder the bonnet,
-
u

nder the vehicle, around the battery packs.
Do not use a pressure greater than 80
bar
when washing the bodywork.
Audible environment
On the outside
The driver must be particularly vigilant when
driving the electric vehicle as it makes very little
noise when moving.
On the inside
While in operation, you may hear noises that
are specific to an electric vehicle, such as:

he traction battery relays when starting,
-

t
he vacuum pump when braking,
-

t
yre or wind noise from the vehicle when
driving.
When parking on a slope, it is recommended
that you apply the parking brake before putting
the drive selector in P . When moving off, a
knock and a clicking sound may be heard,
which is normal.

Charging the traction battery

Vehicle immobilisation
Long term
When your vehicle is to be immobilised for an
indefinite period, carry out a complete recharge
of the traction battery every three months
(following the normal charging procedure).
Before carrying out the charging operation,
ensure that the ancillaries battery is not
disconnected or discharged. If this is the case,
refer to the "Ancillaries battery" section for
information on connecting or charging it.Precautions to take when charging the
battery

o not stay inside or near the vehicle.
This is particularly important if you wear
a pacemaker or other electrical medical
device. For complete information on the
precautions to take, contact your doctor.

N
ever do any work under the bonnet as
there is a risk of serious injury.
Risk of cuts as the fan may start turning
at any time. Risk of burns as some areas
remain very hot even one hour after the
end of the charging operation.
Charging the traction battery

Ancillaries battery
All other electrical components on your vehicle
are powered by the ancillaries battery.
It is located in the front compartment under the
bonnet and is charged by the traction battery,
during the operation ("Ready" lamp in the
instrument panel) and charging phases.If the ancillaries battery is discharged,
the electric motor cannot be started and
charging of the traction battery is no
longer possible.
It is recommended that the ancillaries
battery be disconnected if the vehicle is
not to be used for more than a month.
Access to the battery Starting using an external battery
Ensure that the backup battery is a 12 volt
b attery.
Before doing anything:

ut the vehicle in position P
, switch off
the ignition, check that the central display
screen is off, and ensure that the vehicle is
not connected to a power point,

pen the bonnet using the interior release
lever and then the exterior safety catch,

When the vehicle moves off, as soon as you
reach approximately 6 mph (10 km/h), the
system locks the doors. The characteristic
central locking noise is heard. The LED in the
control switch on the dashboard central switch
panel comes on.
During the journey, opening a door results in
complete unlocking of the vehicle.
Activation/deactivation of the
system
With the ignition on, press and hold this button
to activate or deactivate the function.
If this warning lamp comes on, check
that all of the doors on your vehicle
are closed correctly.
Alarm

F Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.

et the alarm within five minutes after
getting out of the vehicle, by locking or
deadlocking using the remote control. The
red LED, located on the button, flashes
once per second.

F Unlock the vehicle with the remote control or switch on the ignition, the red LED goes

Locking the vehicle with
exterior protection only
If, while you are away from the vehicle, you
wish to leave a window partially open or a pet
inside the vehicle, you should choose exterior
protection only.

Triggering
The siren sounds, the direction indicators flash
for approximately 30 seconds and the red LED
flashes rapidly.

o switch it off, insert the key and switch on
the ignition.
Anti-intrusion protection
Locking while driving
If fitted on your vehicle, this provides two types
of protection:

xterior protection: it sounds if a front /rear
door or the bonnet is opened.
-

i
nterior protection: it sounds if the volume
inside the passenger compartment changes
(breaking of a window or a movement inside
the vehicle).
If your vehicle is fitted with a separation
partition, the interior protection is not active in
the load space.

n the next ten seconds, press the button
until the red LED is on continuously.

ithin the next five minutes, set the alarm
by locking or deadlocking using the remote
control (the red LED flashes once per
second).

In some cases of particularly demanding use
(when towing the maximum load on a steep
gradient in high temperatures), the engine
power is automatically limited. In such a case,
the air conditioning is automatically switched
off to increase the available engine power.F

f this warning lamp and the
STOP warning lamp come on,
stop the vehicle and switch off
the engine as soon as possible.
New vehicle
Do not pull a trailer before having driven at
least 620
miles (1,000 kilometres).
Braking
Towing a trailer increases the braking distance.
To avoid overheating of the brakes, the use of
engine braking is recommended.
Ty r e s
F Check the tyre pressures of the towing vehicle and of the trailer, observing the
recommended pressures.
Lighting
F Check the electrical lighting and signalling on the trailer and the headlamp beam height
of your vehicle. For more information on adjusting
the Headlamp beam
, refer to the
corresponding section.
The rear parking sensors will be
deactivated automatically to avoid the
audible signal if a genuine PEUGEOT
towbar is used.
Starting and stopping
Running and accessories position.
To unlock the steering, turn the steering wheel
gently while turning the key, without forcing. In
this position, certain accessories can be used. Starting position.
The starter is operated. the engine turns over,
release the key.
STOP position
: anti-theft.
The ignition is off. Turn the steering wheel until
the steering column locks. Remove the key.
If this warning lamp comes on, a door
or the bonnet is not closed correctly.
Please check!Diesel engines
If the temperature is high enough,
the warning lamp comes on for
less than a second, you can start
without waiting.
In cold weather, wait for this warning lamp to go
off then operate the starter (starting position)
until the engine starts.
When switching off the ignition, let the
engine run for a few seconds to allow the
turbocharger (Diesel engine) to return to
idle.
Do not press the accelerator when
switching off the ignition.
There is no need to engage a gear after
parking the vehicle.

accelerator pedal during gear changes.

he gear change commands are carried out
only if the engine speed permits.

or safety reasons, depending on the
engine speed, downward gear changes may
be made automatically.
If the engine speed is high (sharp
acceleration), the next gear will not be
engaged without the driver changing gear
manually.
Acceleration
For optimum acceleration (for example, when
overtaking another vehicle), simply press
the accelerator pedal firmly past the point of
resistance at the end of its travel.
Vehicle stationary, engine
running
In the event of a prolonged stop with the engine
running, the gearbox automatically returns to
neutral N .
Stopping the vehicle
F Before stopping the engine, move the gear
selector to position N .
In all cases, the parking brake must be applied.
Ensure that the parking brake warning lamp
lights up on the instrument panel.
Before doing any work under the bonnet
ensure that the gear selector is in
neutral

Manual deactivation
In certain circumstances, such as the need
to maintain a comfortable temperature in the
passenger compartment, it may be preferable
to deactivate the Stop & Start system.
The system can be deactivated at any time,
once the ignition is switched on.
F
A
t any time, press the " ECO OFF"
switch to
deactivate the system.
This is confirmed by the switch indicator lamp
coming on, accompanied by a message on the
screen.
If the system has been deactivated
in STOP mode, the engine restarts
immediately.
Manual reactivation
F Press the ECO OFF switch again.
The system is active again; this is confirmed
by the switch indicator lamp going off and a
message in the instrument panel. The system is reactivated automatically at
every new start using the key.
Operating fault
In the event of a malfunction with the system,
the ECO OFF switch indicator lamp flashes,
then comes on continuously.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.
If a fault occurs in STOP mode, the vehicle
may stall. All of the instrument panel warning
lamps come on. It is then necessary to switch
the ignition off and to restart the engine using
t h e key.
Opening the bonnet
Before doing anything under the bonnet,
deactivate the Stop & Start system to
avoid the risk of injury related to an
automatic change to START mode.
Driving on flooded roads
Before driving in a flooded area, it is
strongly recommended that you deactivate
the Stop & Start system.

, particularly on flooded
roads, refer to the corresponding section.
The Stop & Start system requires a
12 V battery of specific technology and
specification. All work on this type of
battery must be carried out only by a
PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Fitting a battery not approved by
PEUGEOT
introduces the risk of
malfunction of the system.
For more information on the Battery , refer
to the corresponding section.
Driving

Operation
When your vehicle is too close to or
approaches the vehicle ahead too quickly, the
system automatically applies the brakes to
avoid a collision.
You are then warned by the display of a
message.
Your vehicle's brake lamps come on to warn
other road users.The collision can be avoided if the speed
difference between your vehicle and
the one ahead is not more than 9
mph
(15


km/h).
Above this threshold, the system will do
what is possible to avoid or reduce the
accident by lowering the speed of impact.
The automatic braking can bring the vehicle to
a complete stop if the situation requires it.
In this case, the vehicle is held stationary
temporarily (for about 1.5
seconds) to allow
the driver to take back control by pressing the
brake pedal.
Unless the driver presses the clutch
quickly enough during automatic braking,
triggering of the system may cause the
engine to stall. During automatic braking, the driver can
always obtain a higher rate of deceleration
than that controlled by the system, by
pressing firmly on the brake pedal.
After an impact, the system is
automatically put out of ser vice: it no
longer operates.
You must go to a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop to have the system
made operational again.
Operating limits
The system only detects vehicles that are
stationary or moving in the same direction as
your vehicle.
It does not detect small vehicles (bicycles,
motorcycles), pedestrians or animals, nor
non-reflective stationary objects.
This system will not trigger or will be interrupted
if the driver:
-

a
ccelerates hard
-

o
r turns the steering wheel sharply
(avoidance manoeuvre). When weather conditions are difficult
(extremely heavy rain, snow, fog, hail,
etc.), braking distances increase, which
may reduce the system’s ability to avoid a
collision.
The driver must therefore remain
particularly cautious.
Never let snow build up on the bonnet
or any object beyond the bonnet or the
front of the roof: this could enter the
field of vision of the sensor and obstruct
detection.Deactivation
The system is deactivated in the vehicle
configuration menu, accessible with the ignition
on.
Its status is stored when the ignition is switched off.
When the system is deactivated, a
message is displayed every time the
ignition is switched on, to warn you.
