DISPLAYS IN THE SCREEN
Displays according to context:
- time,
- date,
- ambient temperature with air conditioning (the value displayed fl ashes if there is a risk of ice),
- visual parking assistance,
- audio functions,
- alert messages,
- the display and vehicle equipment settings menus.
CONTROLS
From the control panel of your PEUGEOT Connect Sound (RD5), you
can:
 press the "MENU" button for access to the main menu ,
 press the "  " or "  " buttons to scroll through the items on the
screen,
 press the "MODE" button to change the permanent application
(audio source, telephone...),
 press the "  " or "  " buttons to change a setting value,
 press the "OK" button to confi rm,
or
 press the "Back" button to abandon the operation in progress.

MAIN MENU
 Press the "MENU" button to gain access to the main menu :
- audio functions,
- vehicle diagnostics,
- personalisation-confi guration,
- telephone (Bluetooth system).
 Press the "  " or "  " buttons to select the menu required, then
confi rm by pressing the "OK" button.
"AUDIO FUNCTIONS" MENU
With the PEUGEOT Connect Sound (RD5) switched on, once this menu
has been selected you can activate or deactivate the functions linked
with use of the radio (RDS, REG, RadioText) or the CD (introscan,
shuffl e, CD repeat).
For more information on the "Audio functions" application, refer to the \
PEUGEOT Connect Sound (RD5) section.
"DIAGNOSIS VEHICLE" MENU
Once this menu has been selected, you can consult information
concerning the status of the vehicle.
Alert log
This summarises the active warning messages, displaying them in
succession on the multifunction screen.
 On the " Diagnosis vehicle " menu, select the following application:
 Press the
"MENU" button to gain access to the main menu.
 Press the arrows, then the "OK" button to select the " Diagnosis
vehicle " menu.

With the PEUGEOT Connect Sound (RD5) switched on, once this menu
has been selected you can confi gure your Bluetooth hands-free system
(pairing), consult the various telephone directories (calls log, serv\
ices...)
and manage your communications (pick up, hang up, call waiting,
secret mode...).
For more information on the "Telephone" application, refer to the
PEUGEOT Connect Sound (RD5) section.
"TELEPHONE" MENU Display configuration
Once this menu has been selected, you have access to the following
settings:
- brightness-video setting,
- date and time setting,
- choice of units.
Choice of language
Once this menu has been selected, you can change the language
used by the display (Deutsch, English, Espanol, Français, Italiano, \
Nederlands, Portugues, Portugues-Brasil, Türkçe * ). For safety reasons, confi guration of the multifunction screen by
the driver must only be done when stationary.
Setting the date and time

 Press the "  " or "  " button to display the "Display confi guration"
menu, then the "OK" button.
 Press the "  " or "  " button to select the "Adjust date and time"
line, then the "OK" button.
 Press the "  " or "  " button to select the setting to modify. Confi rm
by pressing the "OK" button then modify the setting and confi rm
again to save the modifi cation.
 Adjust the settings one by one, confi rming with the "OK" button.
 Press the "  " or "  " button, then the "OK" button to select the
"OK" box and confi rm, or the "Back" button to cancel.

"PHONE" or "SETUP" button for access to the corresponding
menu,
 turn dial A to select a function, an item in a list,
 press button B to confi rm the selection,
or
 press the "Back" button to abandon the current operation and
return to the previous display.

equipment and telematics" section.
CONTROLS
For operation of the retractable screen (opening, closing,
adjustment of the position, etc.), refer to the "Access to the
retractable screen" section.

You can adjust the angle of the screen to one of four defi ned positions,
by repeated presses on the front or back of the control B . The position
of the screen is memorised on closing.
Adjusting the angle of the screen
The screen opens automatically when the ignition is switched on. It
closes automatically three seconds after switching off the ignition if the
audio and telematics system is switched off.
ACCESS TO THE RETRACTABLE SCREEN
You can open or close the screen at any time, with the ignition on, using\

control A .
- Press button A : the screen folds.
- Press button A again: the screen opens again.
If you have closed the screen, it will open again automatically:
- on switching on the audio and navigation system (unless it had been closed manually while the system was in operation),
- when an outgoing telephone call is made,
- when a voice command is given,
- when a warning message linked with the STOP warning lamp is displayed ( PEUGEOT Connect Navigation (RT6)).

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
ENERGY ECONOMY MODE
System which manages the duration of use of certain functions to
conserve a suffi cient level of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you can still use functions such as
the audio and telematic system, windscreen wipers, dipped beam
headlamps, courtesy lamp, etc. for a maximum combined duration of
thirty minutes.
This period may be greatly reduced if the battery is not fully charged. \
SWITCHING TO ECONOMY MODE
Once this time has elapsed, a message appears in the screen indicating
that the vehicle has switched to economy mode and the active functions
are put on standby. If the telephone is being used at this time:
- it will be maintained for 5 minutes with the Bluetooth system of your PEUGEOT Connect Sound (RD5),
- it will still be possible to fi nish the call with the PEUGEOT
Connect Navigation (RT6) or PEUGEOT Connect Media
(NG4 3D).
EXITING ECONOMY MODE
These functions are reactivated automatically next time the vehicle is
driven.
To restore operation of these functions immediately, start the engine
and let it run for at least 5 minutes.
Let the engine run for the period specifi ed to ensure that the battery
charge is suffi cient.
Do not repeatedly and continuously restart the engine in order to charge\

the battery.
A fl at battery prevents the engine from starting (refer to the
"Battery" section).
LOAD REDUCTION MODE
System which manages the use of certain functions according to the
level of charge remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the load reduction function temporarily
deactivates certain functions, such as the air conditioning, the heated \
rear screen...
The deactivated functions are reactivated automatically as soon as
conditions permit.

inside the glove box). It consists of two boxes.

EMERGENCY OR ASSISTANCE CALL USING
PEUGEOT Connect Media Navigation (NG4 3D)
In an emergency, press the SOS button until an audible signal is heard and a "Confi rmation / Cancellation" screen is displayed (if valid SIM card inserted).
A call is made to the PEUGEOT Emergency team which receives locating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to the relevant emergency services.
In countries in which the team is not operational, or when the locating service has been expressly declined, the call is sent to the emergency services (112).
Warning - the emergency call and the services are only active if the internal telephone is used with a valid SIM card. With a Bluetooth telephone and without a SIM card, these services are not operational.
Press this button for access to PEUGEOT services.
Customer call
Select "Customer call" to request any information about the PEUGEOT marque.
Select "PEUGEOT Assistance" to make a roadside assistance call.

This service is subject to conditions and availability. Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. If you have purchased your vehicle outside the PEUGEOT dealer network, we invite you to have a dealer check the confi guration of these services and, if desired, modifi ed to suit your wishes.
If an impact is detected by the airbag control unit, and independently of the deployment of any airbags, an emergency call is made automatically.
The message "Deteriorated emergency call" associated with fl ashing of the orange indicator lamp indicates a malfunction. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
