CARD READER LIGHT
NOTESNo faults should be present or stored.
This command is for testing card reader operation.
The command lasts 7 seconds.
Use Wiring Diagrams Technical Note for MEGANE II or SCENIC II.
The card reader light does not light up when the command is activated.
Check the condition and connection of the card reader connector.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check for earth on connection NAM of component 1088.
If OK: If faulty:
Check the condition and connection of connector PE2 on the UCH
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note
6015A, Repairing electrical wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the
connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the insulation and continuity of the following connection:
●Connection code 26BK between components 645 and 1082.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note
6015A, Electrical wiring repair, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the
wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact Techline.
AFTER REPAIRCarry out another fault finding check on the system.
Clear the stored faults.
Deal with any other faults.

With the command running, check for + 12 V feed on connection 26BC of component 1082.
If OK, replace the card reader.
Check the condition and connection of connector PE1 on the UCH.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the insulation and continuity of the following connection:
●Connection code 26BC between components 645 and 1082.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact Techline.
AFTER REPAIRCarry out another fault finding check on the system.
Clear the stored faults.
Deal with any other faults.

ONE-TOUCH WINDOW CONTROL/SR* AUTHORISATION
NOTESNo faults should be present or stored.
This command can activate operation of the electric window motors after replacement
of the UCH or a harmless loss of enabling.
The command lasts 7 seconds.
After activation, take a reading of the ET087 One-touch window/sunroof* authorisation status to verify a change
of status.
If there is a fault, see the procedure for this status.
AFTER REPAIRCarry out another fault finding check on the system.
Clear the stored faults.
Deal with any other faults.

START BUTTON LIGHTING
NOTESNo faults should be present or stored.
This command is for testing operation of the start button.
The command lasts 7 seconds.
Use Wiring Diagrams Technical Note for MEGANE II or SCENIC II.
The button light does not light up when the command is activated.
Check the connection of the start button connector.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check for an earth on connection MAM of component 1087.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
With the command running, check for + 12 V on connection 26M of component 1087.
If ok, replace the start button.
Check the condition and connection of connector PE1 on the UCH.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the insulation and continuity of the following connection:
●Connection code 26M between components 645 and 1082.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact the Techline.

FOOTWELL LIGHTS

This command is for testing footwell/floor lights operation.
Check the bulbs.
Use Wiring Diagrams Technical Note for MEGANE II or SCENIC II.
Check the condition and connection of the footwell lighting connectors.'
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check for + 12 V on connection BPT2 of components 1118, 1119, 1120, 1121.
If OK: If faulty:
Check the condition and connection of the PP3 connector on the UCH.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note
6015A, Repairing electrical wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the
connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the insulation and continuity of the following connection:
●Connection code BPT2.
Between components 645 and 1118.
Between components 645 and 1119.
Between components 645 and 1120.
Between components 645 and 1121.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note
6015A, Electrical wiring repair, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the
wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact Techline.

With the command running, check for earth on connection 13AC between components 1118, 1119, 1120, 1121.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the condition and connection of the PP3 connector on the UCH.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the insulation and continuity of the following connection:
●Connection code 13C.
Between components 645 and 1118.
Between components 645 and 1119.
Between components 645 and 1120.
Between components 645 and 1121.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact Techline.

This command is for testing headlight washer 1 operation.
The command lasts 3 seconds.
Use Wiring Diagrams Technical Note for MEGANE II or SCENIC II.
Check for earth on connections 39A
and 39C of component 219.
Is there an earth?Not on connection 39C.
YES
Not on connection 39A.With the command running, check for + 12 V on
connection 39A of component 219.
Is there + 12 V?NO
YES
Replace the headlight washer pump.
Check the condition and connection of the headlight washer relay 1 connector.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check for an earth on connection MAS of component 753.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the continuity and insulation of the following connection:
●Connection code 39A between components 753 and 219.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If everything is OK, replace the relay.
Run the fault finding procedure for
command AC031 Headlight washer
2 relay.
AFTER REPAIRCarry out another fault finding check on the system.
Clear the stored faults.
Deal with any other faults.

Check the condition and connection of headlight washer relay 1.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check for + 12 V on connections 39G and BP32 of component 753.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
With the command running, check for earth on connection 39G of component 753.
Is there an earth?
YES NO
Check the condition and connection of connector PE3 on the UCH.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A,
Repairing electrical wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector;
otherwise, replace the wiring.
Check the insulation and continuity of the following connection:
●Connection code SP2 between components 753 and 260.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A,
Electrical wiring repair, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise
replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact Techline.
Check the continuity and insulation of the following connection:
●Connection code 39A between components 753 and 219.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If everything is OK, replace the relay.

This command is used to test the operation of headlight washer 2 or for locking the
glovebox if the vehicle is fitted with one of these functions: This command is only active
for UPC Vdiag 44 (see System operation).
The command lasts 3 seconds.
Use Wiring Diagrams Technical Note for MEGANE II or SCENIC II.
Headlight washer 2 relay
Check for earth on connections 39A
and 39C of component 219.
Is there an earth?Not on connection 39C.
YES
Not on connection 39A.With the command running, check for + 12 V on
connection 39C of component 219.
Is there + 12 V?NO
YES
Replace the headlight washer pump.
Run the fault finding procedure for
command AC030 Headlight washer 1
relay.
AFTER REPAIRCarry out another fault finding check on the system.
Clear the stored faults.
