10. '97 - 98 models: Route the wire harness of the new

actuator through the shaft hole. Assemble the actu-

ator and the mirror visor by installing the screws.

11. '97-98 models: Attach the actuator to the mirror by

pressing it into place by hand.

12. Route the harness through the hole in the mirror

base, and reinstall the mirror housing on the mirror

base.

13. Reinstall the harness clamp and the mirror base

cover removed in step 2, and tape the harness clip

to the wire harness 145 mm (5.7 in) from the mirror

base cover.

14. Insert the terminals into the connector(s) as shown

below, then reconnect the connectors, and reinstall

the mirror to the car.

Driver's Switch :
The driver' s switc h i s combine d wit h th e contro l uni t s o

maste r switc h inpu t tes t procedure s a t terminal s A5 , A7 ,
A8 , A1 4 an d A1 6 o n pag e 23-232 . I f th e test s ar e normal ,
th e driver' s switc h mus t b e faulty .

1 . Remov e th e driver' s doo r panel , an d disconnec t th e 16 P an d 3 P connector s fro m th e maste r switch .
2 . Inspec t th e connecto r an d socke t terminal s t o b e sur e the y ar e al l makin g goo d contact .
I f th e terminal s ar e bent , loos e o r corroded , repai r
the m as necessary , an d rechec k th e system .
I f th e terminal s loo k OK , mak e th e followin g inpu t
test s a t th e connector .
— If a tes t indicate s a problem , fin d an d correc t
th e cause , the n rechec k th e system .
— If al l th e inpu t test s prov e OK , th e powe r win -
do w maste r switc h mus t b e faulty ; replac e it .
