Install spring pan to wishbone securing bolts.

Remove Special Tool 204-111 from suspension.

dowel from turret and withdraw
tool assembly.
8. Lower vehicle to working heig ht and support on stands.
9. Install road wheel. Re fer to Section 100-02.
10. Raise vehicle, remove stands and lower vehicle onto road
wheels.

Rotate adjuster of Special Tool to tension spring.

Rotate adjuster of Special Tool to release tension from spring.

move spring assembly and Special Tool from suspension
turret.
9. Remove Special Tool from spring assembly.
1. Install new spring pan, spring and spring rubber upper and
lower seats on Special Tool 204-111.

10. Carry out steering geometry an d wheel alignment checks and
if necessary adjust. Refer to 57.65.01.

move bolt.

curing undertray to bumper
cover. Discard scrivets.

emove and discard tiestrap securing undertray to crossbeam
brace.
5. At each side of vehicle, remo ve and discard scrivet securing
undertray to wheelarch liner.

lease stabilizer bar from link arms.

move stabilizer bar to link arm ball joint securing nut.
Repeat operation
at opp
osite
end of stabilizer bar.

7. Slacken stabil
izer bar securing bolts.

8. NO
TE: On vehicles fitted with an engine oil cooler, it may be
necessary to release the stabilizer bar from each ball joint in turn
to achieve the required cl earance from cooler pipes.
Remove stabilizer bar from crossbeam.

move stabilizer bar and mounting brackets from
crossbeam.
9. Remove mounting brackets and rubbers from stabilizer bar.

nstallation

1.
CAUTI
ON: Make sure the Ca
strol NTR grease is only
applied to the inner surface of the mounting bushes. Failure to
follow this instruction may affect the retention of the bushes in
the retaining brackets.
Apply a thin film of Castrol NTR grease to the inner surface of
the bushes.

2. Install
mounting rubbers on stabilizer bar.

3. N
OTE: Ensure mounti
ng rubbers seat correctly between
flanges.
Install and fully seat mounti ng brackets on rubbers.

4. Position stabil
izer bar assembly
on link arms and install but do
not tighten ball joint securing nuts.
5. Install stabilizer bar mounting bolts.

Install but do not tighten
stabilizer bar LH mounting
bracket securing bolts.

and tighten to 30-40Nm.
Tigh ten LH mountin

6. Secure link arms to
stabilizer bar.

to 60-80Nm.

7. Using screws or new scrivets , secure undertray to fr
ont
bumper cover.

8. Usi n
g a new tiestrap, secure undertray to crossbeam brace.
9. Using new scrivets, secure un dertray to each wheelarch
liner.
