Symptoms

Does not recognize cellular phone connec-
tion (no connection is displayed on the dis-
play at the guide). Repeat the registration of cellular phone.
Malfunction in audio unit.

made, but the communication cannot be
established.
• Hands-free phone operation can be per-
formed, however, voice between each

hands-free phone. Check the “microphone speaker” in Inspec-
tion & Adjustment Mode if sound is heard.
Originating sound is not heard by the other
party with hands-free phone communica-
tion. Sound operation function is normal.
Sound operation function does not work.

DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (AV CONTROL UNIT)
3. While pressing the APPS button, turn the TUNE dial counter-
clockwise 5 or more clicks, then clockwise 5 or more clicks, then
counterclockwise 5 or more clicks. Shifting from current screen
to previous screen is performed by pressing BACK button.
4. The trouble diagnosis initial screen is displayed, and Version, User Configuration, Radio, Syst em State or Self Test can be
selected.

2. Disconnect stop lamp switch harness connector.
3. Check the continuity between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and stop lamp switch harness connector.
4. Check the continuity between ABS actuator and el ectric unit (control unit) harness connector and the
ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to BRC-144, "Removal and Instal-
lation".
NO >> Repair / replace harness or connector, and GO TO 10.
10.CHECK DATA MONITOR (3)
With CONSULT
1. Connect ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.
2. Connect stop lamp switch harness connector.
3. Erase “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ABS”
4. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON → OFF.
NOTE:
Wait at least 10 seconds after turning ignition switch OFF or ON.
5. Start the engine.
NOTE:
Stop the vehicle.
6. Select “DATA MONITOR” of “ABS”, check “STOP LA MP SW”. Check that data monitor displays “On” or
“Off” when brake pedal is depressed or released. Refer to BRC-36, "
Reference Value".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Inspection End.
NO >> Replace the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to BRC-144, "
Removal and Instal-
lation".

3. Check the continuity when stop lamp switch is operated.
