side

cut

clamp
proper

disengaged

downward

together
with
the

jacket
tube

For

any
force

applied
from
front
direction
of
the

vehicle
the

steering
post
clamp
sliding
block

does
not

move
rearward
This
construction
is
called
One

way
slide

system
and
with
this
construction

projection
of
the

column
shaft
toward

the
driver
is

prevented
completely
