CAUTION:
o Use the power outlet only when the engine is running and remove the plug from the power outletafter using the electric device. Using when the engine stops or keeping the electric device withplugged in for many hours may cause the battery to discharge.
o Do not use the power outlet to connect electric accessories orequipment that are not designed to operate on 12 volts.
o Some electronic devices can cause electronic interference whenplugged into the power outlet.These devices may cause exces- sive audio noise and malfunctions in other electronic systems or de-vices in your vehicle.
B430A01FC-GAT The front ashtray may be opened by pulling it up by its top edge. To remove the ashtray to empty or clean it, pull the cover up all the way out. The ashtraylight will only illuminate when the exter- nal lights are on. HFC2056-D

B450A02FC-EAT Front Drink Holder (Not all models) The front drink holder is used for holding cups. To use the passenger's drink holder, push the drink holder and pull it entirely. Driver's Passenger's

B450B02FC-EAT Rear Drink Holder (Not all models) The rear drink holder is located on the rear main console for holding cups. The rear drink holder can be used by pushing the knob on the rear mainconsole downward and then releasing it.

CAUTION:
Place the drink holder in its original position whilst not in use.
!WARNING:
o Use caution when using the drink holders. A spilled beverage that is very hot can injure you or your passengers. Spilled liquids candamage interior trim and electri- cal components.
o Do not place objects other than
cups or drinks in the drink holder.Such objects can be thrown out in the event of a sudden stop or anaccident, possibly injuring the pas- sengers in the vehicle.
SB380A1-E The parking brake must always be set when the vehicle is to be left unat-tended. When the parking brake is ap- plied, and the ignition key is at the "ON" position, the parking brake warning light will be illuminated. Before driving the vehicle, the parking brake must be fully released and the warning light extin- guished.
o To set the parking brake, apply thefoot brake and pull the parking brake lever up with the button depressed. Release the button when the brake is fully applied.
o To release the parking brake, apply
the foot brake and pull up the parking brake lever slightly. Depress the button and lower the lever. B530A01FC-D

SUNROOF
SB330A3-E (Not all models) The electrically operated sunroof may be used only whilst the ignition switch is at the "ON" position. The sunroof is equipped with a sunshade which maybe used whilst the sunroof is at the closed position to obscure incoming light.The sunshade is automatically opened whenever the sunroof is opened but must be manually closed by slidingforward after the sunroof is closed. When the sunroof is opened, the wind deflector will automatically rise to theupper position and will automatically retract when the sunroof is closed.
B470A01FC WARNING:
Never install or remove the sunshade whilst driving. To open the sunroof, depress and hold the button indicated. The button should be released when the sunroof is at the fully open position. The sunroof may beclosed by depressing and holding the button indicated. The button should be released when the sunroof is at the fullyclosed position.

CAUTION:
o Do not open the sunroof in se- verely cold temperature or when it is covered with ice or snow.
o Periodically remove any dirt that
may have accumulated on theguide rails.

The sunroof can be tilted and closed by depressing the button indicated. Re-lease the button when the sunroof reaches the up position. NOTE: The sunroof should not be opened when water or standing rain is on the roof panel. Driving the vehicle for a short distance will allow the water todisperse naturally at which point the sunroof may be opened. B460D01FC-EAT Manual Operation of Sunroof If the sunroof fails to operate:

1. Remove the rectangular plastic inte- rior light lenses in the front overhead console.

o Do not close a sunroof if anyone's hands, arms or body are between the sliding glass and the sunroof sash, as this could result in injury.
o Do not place your head or arms
out of the sunroof opening at anytime.

SB340B2-E Interior Light The interior courtesy light has a button of three positions. The three positions are:
oDR In the "DR" position, the interior cour- tesy light comes on when any door is opened regardless of the ignition key position. The light goes out when thedoor is closed.
oON In the "ON" position, the light stays on at all times.
2. Turn the hexagonal bolts with a socket
wrench counterclockwise to removethe front overhead console.
3. Insert the hexagonal head wrench
provided with the vehicle into thesocket. This wrench can be found in the vehicle's luggage room or glove box.

4. Turn the wrench clockwise to open or counterclockwise to close. B480A01E-EAT Map Light
INTERIOR LIGHT
The two map lights are located at each side of the interior light. The lights may be operated by depress- ing the switch to turn on the light andpressing again to turn off the light. This light produces a spot beam for conve- nient use as a map light at night or asa personal light for the driver or the passenger.

SPECTACLE CASE

The spectacle case is located on the front overhead console. Push the end of the cover to open the spectacle case.

Do not open the spectacle case whilst the vehicle is moving. The rear viewmirror of the vehicle can be blocked by an open spectacle case.
MULTI BOX

The multi box may be opened by pulling it out by its grip. It is used for storing small commodi-ties. If the multi box is removed, the fuse box for the lights and other electrical acces-sories will be exposed.

MIRROR
B510B01FC-EAT EXTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRROR Electric Type
The outside rear view mirror can be adjusted in any direction to give the maximum rear view vision. The remote control outside rear view mirror switch controls the adjustments for passenger side door mirror. To adjust the position of either mirror:
1. Move the selecting switch to the "L" (or "R") position to activate the ad- justable mechanism for the adjust-ing door mirror.
2. Adjust mirror angle by depressing
the appropriate directional switch asillustrated.

o Do not leave the switch on for an unnecessary length of time.
o Scraping ice from the mirror face could cause permanent damage. To remove any ice, use a sponge,soft cloth or approved deicer.

Be careful when judging the size or distance of any object seen in the passenger side rear view mirror. It isa convex mirror with a curved sur- face, any objects seen in this mirrorare closer than they appear. B510D01HP-EATOUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR HEATER (Not all models) The outside rearview mirror heater is actuated in connection with the rear window defroster. To heat the outside rearview mirror glass, push in the switchfor the rear window defroster. The rear- view mirror glass will be heated for defrosting or defogging and will giveyou improved rear vision in inclement weather conditions. Push the switch again to turn the heater off. The outsiderearview mirror heater automatically turns itself off after 20 minutes.

To fold the outside rear view mirrors, push them towards the rear. The outside rear view mirrors can be folded rearward for parking in restrictedareas.
WARNING:

SB370A1-E INTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRROR The interior mirror is of the day/night type to enable the glare of headlights from following vehicles to be eliminated during night time driving.The tab located at the bottom of the mirror should be set to the position nearest the windscreen for normal daytime driving, and flipped towards the rear of the vehicle to eliminate glare during night time driving. To adjust thefield of vision, the mirror may be moved by hand upon the mounting. NOTE: The mirror should always be ad- justed prior to setting the vehicle in motion. HXDFL2112

NOTE: The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) label containing useful infor- mation can be found on the back ofeach sun visor.
WARNING:
Do not place the sun visor in such amanner that it obscures visibility of the roadway, traffic or other objects.

Sun visors are fitted to both the driverand passenger side of the vehicle. Cer- tain derivatives are equipped with avanity mirror which is located on the back of the driver and passenger visor. The visor may be lowered to reduce theamount of glare from directly ahead, or may be moved towards the side window to reduce glare from the side of thevehicle, once the inner pivot has been unclipped from the bracket.

70FOLD-UP TRAY
B570A01FC-EAT Pull the release lever inside the vehicle to unlatch the bonnet. At the front of the vehicle, push the safety catch lever sidewards as shown and raise the bon-net by hand. Support the bonnet by means of the bonnet prop. Before closing the bonnet, ensure thatthe prop is correctly stowed. Lower the bonnet by hand to a position of approxi- mately 30cm from the closed positionand allow the bonnet to drop. Do not attempt to close the bonnet by lowering the panel to the closed position andpressing upon the panel work since this may result in damage to the panel.BONNET RELEASE
HIGH-MOUNTED REAR STOP LIGHT
B550A01S-EAT In addition to the lower-mounted rear stoplights on either side of the car, the high mounted rear stoplight in the cen- tre of the rear window or inserted in therear spoiler also lights when the brakes are applied. B550A02FC
