EXTERNAL LIGHT FAILURE
The warning light on the dial turns on (together with the message on
the display) when one of the following failures is detected: broken
circuit, “missing” or burnt-out bulb, wrong bulb power. Light check
concerns: taillights, brake lights (3rd stop light excluded), rear fog
lights, headlights, direction indicators and number plate lights.
The failure referring to these lights could be: one or more blown
bulbs, a blown protection fuse or a cut-off electric connection.
Symbols
¯/˙(where provided) coming on on the display indicate a
left/right-hand light failure.

BRAKE LIGHT FUSE FAILURE
The warning light on the dial turns on (together with the message on
the display) when the brake light fuse is faulty (blown fuse).

T.P.M.S. FAULT WARNING LIGHT (where provided)
The warning light comes on (together with the message on the display
and the buzzer), when T.P.M.S. (where provided) fault is detected.
Contact Lancia Dealership as soon as possible.
Should one or more wheels without sensor be fitted, the instrument
panel warning light will come on (together with the message on the
display) and stay on until restoring initial conditions.

AIR BAG FAILURE
Turning the ignition key to MAR the warning light on the dial turns
on, but it should go off after few seconds. The warning light stays on
glowing steadily (together with the message on the display) if there is
a failure in the air bag system.

The failure of the ¬warning light (warning light off) is also indicated by the
flashing for more than the normal seconds of the passenger’s front air bag deac-
tivated warning light

If warning light ¬does not come on when turning the key to MAR or if it stays
on when travelling it could indicate a failure in restraint systems; in this case air
bags or pretensioners could not trigger in the event of an accident, or in a
restricted numbers of cases they could trigger accidentally. Stop the car and
contact Lancia Dealership to have the system checked immediately.

the display) when failure is detected in twilight sensor (adjusting
headlight sensitivity).

INJECTION SYSTEM FAILURE (Multijet versions)
The warning light stays on or comes on glowing steadily when
travelling (together with the message on the display) when there is a
failure in the injection/ignition system that could cause an increase in
exhaust gas emissions, loss of performance, poor driveability and high
consumption.U

EOBD - ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM FAILURE (petrol versions)
In normal conditions, turning the ignition key to MAR, the warning
light turns on, but it should go off when the engine has started.
The initial turning on indicates that the warning light is working
properly.
If the warning light stays on or turns on when travelling
(together with the message on the display):
❒glowing steadily- means a fault in the supply/ignition system
which could cause high emissions at the exhaust, possible lack of
performance, poor handling and high consumption levels.
In these conditions it is possible to continue driving without however
requiring heavy effort or high speed from the engine. Prolonged use of
the car with the warning light on may cause damages. Contact Lancia
Dealership as soon as possible.
The warning light goes off if the fault disappears, but it is still stored
by the system.

❒flashing- indicates the possibility of damage to the catalyst (see
“EOBD system” in section “Dashboard and controls”).
If the light flashes, it is necessary to release the accelerator pedal to
lower the speed of the engine until the warning light stops flashing;
continue the journey at moderate speed, trying to avoid driving
conditions that may cause further flashing and contact Lancia
Dealership as soon as possible.U

If with ignition key at MAR, the
Uwarning light does not turn on or if it turns on with fixed light
or flashing when the car is travelling (on certain versions together with the message on the display),
contact Lancia Dealership as soon as possible. Warning light
Uoperation can by checked by traf-
fic agents by proper equipment therefore, comply with laws and regulations in force in the country
where you are driving.
GENERIC FAILURE INDICATION
The warning light on the dial comes on when the engine oil pressure
sensor is faulty and, for Multijet versions with modal instrument
panel, also when a failure is detected in diesel fuel sensor. Contact
Lancia Dealership as soon as possible.
