Remove t he front unders hiel d.
Refer t o: Engi ne Unders hi eld (501-02 Front End Body Panel s ,
Removal and Ins tall ati on).

Clean t he area around the trans mi s si on fl uid l evel /fil ler plug.
3. Remove the trans mi ss i on fl uid fil ler/level plug.
4.
Fil l the t rans mi ss ion wit h t he correct fl uid unt il it runs from t he
l evel/fi ll er pl ug.
5.
6. CAUTION: Replace t he washer.

t he bearing.
Speci al Tool (s ): 303-538 3.

Screw a 2.5 x 15 mm sel f-tapping s crew, a maxi mum of 2
turns int o t he input s haft s eal and remove the s eal usi ng a
pair of pliers .

Installation Apply adhesi ve t ape over t he spl ines of the input shaft to prevent
t he input s haft oil s eal being damaged.

Remove t he adhes ive t ape.
3.
Inst all t he cl utch s lave cyli nder.
T orque: 11 Nm 4.
Inst all t he transmis si on as sembl y.

Bleed t he clut ch sys t em.

Di sconnect t he lower s teeri ng column from t he st eeri nggear.
