Genuine NISSAN Windshield Washer Concen-
trate Cleaner &Antifreeze orequivalent
CAUTION
. Donot substitute engineanti-freeze
coolant forwindow washersolution.
This mayresult indamage tothe
paint.
. Do not fillthe window washer
reservoir tankwithwasher fluid
concentrates atfull strength. Some
methyl alcohol basedwasher fluid
concentrates maypermanently stain
the grille ifspilled whilefilling the
window washerreservoir tank.
. Pre-mix washerfluidconcentrates
with water tothe manufacturer's
recommended levelsbefore pouring
the fluid intothewindow washer
reservoir tank.Donot use the
window washerreservoir tankto
mix thewasher fluidconcentrate
and water.

. Keep thebattery surface cleananddry.
Clean thebattery withasolution ofbaking
soda andwater.
. Make certain theterminal connections are
clean andsecurely tightened.
. Ifthe vehicle isnot tobe used for30 days or
longer, disconnect thenegative 7battery
terminal cabletoprevent discharging it.

Care should betaken toavoid situations
that canlead topotential batterydischarge
and potential no-startconditions suchas:
1. Installation orextended useofelectro-

fluid inthe battery islow. Low
battery fluidcancause ahigher load
on the battery whichcangenerate
heat, reduce battery life,andin
some cases leadtoan explosion.

and remove alljewelry.
. Battery posts,terminals andrelated
accessories containleadandlead
compounds. Washhands after
handling.

last much longer. Followthemaintenance log
shown inthe ªNISSAN ServiceandMainte-
nance Guideº.Do not reuse theiridium plati-
num-tipped sparkplugs bycleaning or
regapping.
Always replace sparkplugswithrecom-
mended orequivalent ones.

cleaner removed cancause youor
others tobe burned. Theaircleaner not
only cleans theair,itstops
flame ifthe engine backfires. Ifit
is not there, andtheengine back-
fires, youcould beburned. Donot
drive withtheaircleaner removed,
and becareful whenworking onthe
engine withtheaircleaner removed.
. Never pourfuelinto thethrottle
body orattempt tostart theengine
with theaircleaner removed. Doing
so could result inserious injury.

windshield washerorifa wiper blade chatters
when running, waxorother material maybeon
the blade orwindshield.
Clean theoutside ofthe windshield witha
washer solution oramild detergent. Your
windshield isclean ifbeads donot form when
rinsing withclear water.
Clean eachblade bywiping itwith acloth
soaked inawasher solution oramild detergent.
Then rinsetheblade withclear water. Ifyour
windshield isstill notclear aftercleaning the
blades andusing thewiper, replace theblades.
CAUTION
Worn windshield wiperblades can
damage thewindshield andimpair
driver
vision.

CAUTION

. Make surethewiper blades contact
the glass; otherwise thearm may be
damaged fromwind pressure.

The disc brake padshaveaudible wearwarn-
ings. When abrake padrequires replacement, it
will make ahigh pitched scraping soundwhen
the vehicle isin motion. Thisscraping soundwill
first occur onlywhen thebrake pedalis
depressed. Aftermore wearofthe brake pad,
the sound willalways beheard evenifthe brake
pedal isnot depressed. Havethebrakes
checked assoon aspossible ifthe wear warning
sound isheard.
Under somedriving orclimate conditions,
occasional brakesqueak, squealorother noise
